It’s extremely disappointing the FBI brushed off/ignored those who reported his violent internet behavior & RUclips comments. Especially the ones where he literally commented that he was going to be the next school schooler AND under his full government name. It’s unacceptable to say the least. He knew exactly what he was doing, it was planned & he even recorded a video of himself stating exactly what he was going to do, where he was going to do it & the date he was going to kill innocent people. He literally said “you’re all going to die.” Also said he loves to see the families suffer. Posted incriminating photos of a whole bunch of guns & even himself holding them. I don’t care what the heck he’s been through. What he did was horrific. It’s gives him no right to harm people or animals. Hes a murder. A monster. My heart goes out to all the victims & families. Actually it's good that it is taking him this long, because the prosecution gets to present as much evidence as possible to the jury. Don't you want that?
Believe it or not this is a speedy trial. Instead of proving if he is guilty or not they jumped to the penalty phase, so right now the jurors are deciding if he gets the death penalty or not.
Now I understand why this was fought to be included in the case… rightfully so. It proves that he KNEW exactly what he was doing over a long period of time & could have easily committed other heinous crimes over a broad spectrum if he didn’t commit this one.. thus being a danger to society regardless of the defenses arguments as to ‘why’.

i seriously doubt that was his lawyers intention. they knew prosecution was going for death penalty and that was one method his lawyer was going to use to try to stop that because she knew there was no getting him off this case.

As awful as broken as this kid is, our society could have been a bit better at picking up on his inherent mental illness and preventing this from happening. If the searches were there then there was definitely outward signs that could have been caught

I am 100% compassionate for people with mental disorders, and/or disabilities. But this guy WILLINGLY chose to mercilessly slaughter so many innocent people, while being totally cognitive in his mind and of his intentions. I am a 32 year old woman... I was molested starting at age 3 til I was 15.. at 15 ; i ran away from the abuse... i ended up homeless and on drugs living under bridges from 15 til 25. It took that long to begin to get my life together after the sexual abuse I faced.
I am currently clean off of drugs.
I am in a relationship with my daughters father. We have been together 8 years next year in February.
We live together with our child.
We have a daughter who turns 4 in November.
She has autism...
I have devoted my life to making sure what happened to me.. NEVER happens to her...

I have had experiences similar to this, being abused as a child, leading to drug abuse and it absolutely disgust me that on top of everything else he searched for little girls. It’s offensive to me that he still gets to sit there today. And after seeing this, I hate him even more, and I pray for the families ❤ that have to deal with what he did everyday.

I believe RUclips automatically flags/removes comments that are inflammatory or violent. It's easy to get your comment removed by saying the wrong word or sounding too aggressive. BUT those comments are being flagged and removed by their system so they don't have an opportunity to be reviewed by a human. It's a shame there were so many signs that could've prevented such an ateocity.

I think it’s important to examine every little aspect of this case and Nikolas Cruz because this isn’t how school shootings in the national spotlight usually end. They’re usually left wide open with questions pertaining to the why. This case offers us a chance to find out why, and to examine the individual involved. This will be beneficial in helping to prevent future occurrences.
If Nikolas wants to try and do something to actually benefit society, he should work with detectives and psychologists in building a profile of a real school shooter. I’m talking the deep down stuff that would drive a person to commit such a horrific act. If more people are aware of the clear warning signs, then maybe we can save some lives instead of just being blindsided by these mass murder events.

Finally an individual with a modicum of intelligence who places facts before feelings. The amount of hateful comments towards him are reinforcing how he felt about himself. His video recordings display language of an individual who has been rejected by society and treated like the animal he continues to be called. He must be held accountable but society also created this narrative. When we place feelings before facts, negative outcomes will be inevitable.
Here's the thing... they want the jury to show a shred of sympathy towards Cruz, talking about his internet searches for loneliness and mental heath, but at no point in time did he try to purchase a therapy session. Instead, he purchased guns and armor. He focused more or his perversion and racism than his own mental heath.
They want to speak on his ability to learn, but yet he knows how to play chess and did well in his psychology class.
He went to that school, he knew what he was doing, he had a plan and executed that plan, alongside murdering and injuring a multitude of students. This isn't a mental illness issue, this is purely a bad person needing to be in jail for multiple life sentences with no chance for parole.
I figured the prosecution fought to get this into evidence. I feel it is to show he knew what he was doing and how these searches shows his hate and how he was already planning it 6-8 months before it actually happened. I don’t think the defense has really much of an argument now that these searches where shown to the court. Like he was looking up child stuff showing he was like a sexual predator I mean in my opinion and than all the hateful stuff and lastly, the premeditated part of all of this.
Now the question is what made him choose violence over helping himself.

I mostly agree with you here but I do not know if there is such a bad thing as a good person and a bad person. We are all born the same at birth (with a few exceptions) and we make ourselves.
