Adam and Michael, you guys should seriously consider pay-per-view for these videos because there are so many truck school students from everywhere benefiting from your videos, and you guys are not getting compensated. Of course, the reason we're here, learning from _you_, is because our schools (the ones we are paying to be in) are garbage!
We had to pin your comment, Fun. Thank you so much for watching and learning. We know other schools use our videos, so do trucking companies (during orientation)! Unfortunately, when we monetize the videos, our competitors' ads run right before our video. So, our videos are all free content. Our karma is skyrocketing...
I agree with you. The equipment we had was terrible and the instructors never bothered to tell us to return the wheel to center while backing. Caused me lots of problems until I ran across CDL School Inc. videos. Used them to pass my test.
Fun Bigly I could not say better than that😂👍🏾 my school, A.I.T, is supposedly one of the best out there, yet we learn nothing and are forced to go on RUclips and listen to real instructors 🚛👍🏾
Fun Bigly thats true boy
This is so fucking true my instructors suck ass. I learned more from student then the instructors
YOU LEAVE OUT TURNING TO THE LEFT AND CHASING IT HOLDING THE ANGLE THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT
These videos have helped so much more than the school I’m paying for. It sucks! Thank you
There are a lot of crappy trucking schools out there. It's unfortunate that you found one of them, Christine. If you have any questions during training, ask us right here on RUclips.
I feel you
I am struggling in trucking school with offset backing. how do you check to see if the left corner of the trailer is above the left frame of the tractor ?
@@jayunoba What my school is teaching us is that when you can see the "v" on your brake brace near the landing gear in your driver's side mirror, you are in the right position.
Well it makes sense for school to tell you less so you can fail and they can ear more money
The thing I dont like about driving school is you have 4 or 5 to 8 people sharing a truck..you spend 80 percent of your time standing around waiting on your 15- 30 min turn...it takes you 3 weeks to learn what you could learn in 3 days if you had a truck and parking lot to yourself...but I understand no school can afford a 10 acre parking lot and truck for each student
I definitely agree. We have 18 students in our class and we're sharing 2 trucks. Sometimes we only have one because one truck is constantly breaking down. It sucks but I'm going to keep trying. This video has helped me alot mentally and I'm ready to start again Monday.
Facts, I've been at my school for 3 months and if I was in the cab like I do pre-trip and in-cab I would've had my CDL already 🤬
Yup!!
Yuppp. There’s 10 of us sharing 2 trucks. One is always on the road or something wrong with it. I get 15 min with an instructor screaming at me, then I sit down and wait for an hour and a half for my next turn. So frustrating
As a trainee coming home from training, it's refreshing to see a video which gets directly to the point and is clear and concise with the fundamentals. Thank you for that!
You're welcome, Raphael! We appreciate you watching.
I am in school now this helps me a lot
Man..This video has really helped me understand what my mistakes have been while offsetting..Watching these videos helps me more than going to trucking school..
Anyone who's met Atom or watched his pivotal videos knows he's an asset to CDL college, and an amazing teacher. We're lucky to have his sage teachings online. Thanks Atom!
Atom is the MAN! Thanks for chatting today, John. So glad you're enjoying your training. Stay safe.
I am on this skill now and I'm struggling this helped a lot because the instructors at the school I attend didn't provide much insight on how to complete this skill it's more like here's the keys to the truck give it a try.
I feel the same way!!
I am struggling in trucking school with offset backing. how do you check to see if the left corner of the trailer is above the left frame of the tractor ?
I thought it was the trucking school I chose lol I guess a lot of people feel this way
For all the people complaining about not being given much guidance on backing..you can only show and tell someone these manuevers so many times... you have to figure out what your doing ..make sense of it in your head and get the feel of the truck on your own..they cant walk beside your window and say left or right forever
@@jacobgill4808 that’s true but at my school if they gave the reference points it would help. I had 3 instructors “show” me three different ways. If I’m paying 6k for a school I shouldn’t be on RUclips searching videos.
It’s crazy how many people are watching these videos who are in trucking school like me even though there are instructors at the school. There are a bunch of different ways to complete this maneuver from what I’ve seen from different RUclips videos but I might try and like this one the best so I can see where the back is going throughout the maneuver
I’m currently studying this and our instructors are a bit frustrated and every one we had teaches different reference points but these vids got us on track, Thank you !
I just started offset backing Thursday at my school, and for someone who has never driven a combination vehicle, it was whooping my ass lol. But I've been watching a lot of videos such as this and have a better understanding of where I was going wrong. So come Tuesday when I go in, I'm feeling pretty confident that I'm going to knock it out. Thanks for posting.
You'll get it, Jerome. Use the markers on the vehicle and watch your trailer tires as you back toward the opposite lane. Quarter turn on the steering wheel, back to center, quarter turn, back to center, etc. Miss the center cone by a foot. Pull forward of you get in trouble. Thanks for watching!
@@Cdlcollege how long do you hold the little turns?
Thank you so much guys! That’s really the best way to do it, I did it with 1 pull up! Thanks a lot. May God bless all of you
How was ypu doing your first week into school with backing?
Adam thank you I just passed my CDL road test a few days ago thanks to watching you video, truly a life saver
Currently in school elsewhere now. I would definitely have preferred to learn from the creator of these videos. Much more here in less than an hour than I have learned in 3 weeks at my school. I Screwed up on the 90 (alley dock) 1st test but these videos are where it's at. Hopefully, I'll pass tomorrow. Thank you, REALLY
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching and commenting.
This video as are all of CDL College videos I've watched are hellping to buildi my self confidence in obtaining my class A CDL. Thank you for posting them.
this video makes way more sense than what i'm being taught cant wait to try this tomorrow
Thank you Adam, you explained it way better than my trainer. I saw your video a day before my skills test and I smoked it, thanks to you!
Excellent as always. You're like the world's greatest CDL instructor.
Greatest video that explains it! I have to test at my school this week, and the instructors don’t explain it as thorough as you did!! Thank you!!
I am in Trucking School right now, and I finally have my straight line backing, but offset backing is really throwing me. I like your suggestion about when to stop your first turn. Also, I like your tip to stop once you get that initial placement after your first turn and do a hard counter turn to line up. I will try this tomorrow!
Passed my dive test today! You're videos helped me out immensely!!!
Thank you!
Congratulations! We knew you could do it. Best of luck to you, G Daddy.
CDL College, LLC Thank you 👍
@AK_MOB559 Yeah man, After I passed my test. I bounced from one crummy job to another. Finally landed a good job. No touch freight, local, and hourly pay! Over time after 8 hours and double time after 12 hours. I mostly drop and hook 53' dry Vans. I put these trailers in spots I NEVER thought possible! I drive 3 axle day cabs, but I usually grab a sleeper when I'm going to be a while being loaded.
@AK_MOB559 its pretty good. $22.50 an hour
Monday thru Friday. Weekend's are optional. If I don't have anything going on I'll go to work and pick up empty trailers and bring them back to the yard. 4:00 am to 12:00 pm.
all time and a half pay!
@AK_MOB559 Southern California.
Thank you, CDL College!
Got a test on Saturday today is Saturday and Have Lots of Truck Time But Almost Zero Help Other Than RUclips and Figure it Out (other than getting yelled at) Binge watching these videos on the way to school from now on this part is defintley my weakest thus far! That Pre trip video is definitely a Life Saver as well! Watch that every morning on my two hour drive to school!
God bless you and your family for helping all of us trying to better are lives with this career. Your videos are extremely helpful for us learning. Thanks again brother.
Adam I don't you but your video help me to get my license
Thk you so much and God bless you
Hey, Ibrahim! Thanks a lot for watching our videos. We love helping you guys and reading your feedback.- Atom.
Best video I've watched on RUclips detailing offset-backing, very descriptive and I love the overhead view with steering pointers and how to fix a mistake.
I want to tell you thanks for h helping me pass my CDL test on the first time. The man upstairs and you of course.
Thank you so much for this! I got my class a test in two weeks. Offset backing has proved a challenge in that I oversteer. I would totally pay to watch this! A+ job
I just learned more in 5 minutes than I did in 10 hours today... This is SOOOO much much better than GO RIGHT!!! I MEANT LEFT!!! WHY ARENT YOU LISTENING!!! I have been a yard jockey for 2 years with thousands of moves completed.. Today I felt like Stevie Wonder trying to back double haywagons. Watched this, and now I feel like I understand the why, and the fundamentals... I wish I got to go to your school.
LOL!!! So many cdl schools just yell at you and don't teach much! Familiar story.
I killed this maneuver on the dayshift cab, but the sleeper! i bombed out! lol
OMG WHERE HAVE THIS VIDEO BEEN ALL MY LIFE, YOU EXPLAINS THIS SO WELL!!!!!!!
It's been here the whole time! Thank you for watching and commenting.
I've been watching all of your videos they have been a great help and gives me a jump ahead of the class. I straight back like a pro in 1 day. Next week we'll be doing off set backing and this will help a lot.
This is the best semi truck parking video I have ever seen! I couldn't park a truck if my life depended on it but, using these techniques. Even shocked my instructor . MAN THANKS!
This vedeo was recorded 4 yrs ago. Iwatched 6 times yesterday. I had zero understandinh about the offset barking maneuver, i watched and passed the test!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Adam and your club as well. I am writing to let you know that you are helping millions of people around this glope even if you are not present.
I would jave visited you if I know were to reach!
Thanks again
Thank you Adam for you're video of step by step instructions of the off set. I currently attend road masters and they don't break down the alley dock, offset, or parallel like you guys do. I have taken a lot of notes and I Will be following these steps this weekend when I return back to school. I wish you guys had a school in Florida I like the way you guys break down all the backing, double clutching and putting inferences on what mirror to watch.
Again thank you!! 😊
Can't thank you enough for doing these videos. They are the best. I would love to see more POV videos other than the straight backing one.
I just got my cdls today class A , God is good ! And these videos also helped me to understand everything ! I really want to thank you for these videos !! All of these videos are direct ! Y’all helped me get my cdls after 5 months of trying
Thank you for this. I kept getting aimed at the center cone and couldn't seem to get in the lane. This makes way more sense and I appreciate the tips for fixing the mistakes.
By far one of the best videos explaining the off set backing, outstanding! thank you for sharing this great content.
It is a great video, helped me to pass my cdl test. Good job guys , Thank you
I JUST TRIED THIS AT SCHOOL. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! Last week I couldn't put the truck in at all, it took me a couple of pull ups today but I got it in 👍😃
Very helpful. Straightforward and simplified. I test this coming week. Thank you! Now I feel more confident!
I'm so guilty of that biggest mistake! Thanks, driver.
Wow, nearly 5 weeks of practicing and watching youtube videos and only here and now I find out where I should move the truck towards to make space to the sides.
Glad you found our channel, Frankie. We have every video you need to pass the CDL Skills Test. Stay safe out there.
Definitely recommend! I'm in CDL school now. Definitely check out the alley dock and parallel videos. They helped me make small tweaks to what I already was learning. Now I make the maneuvers 90% of the time. 💪💪💪
I just saw your offset parking video and i am so glad i did i am now more confident to pass my test thank you guys you are great help.
Thank you so much!! 🙏 very clear and to the point it helps me a lot !!👍 Blessings to all of you!! 🕊️❣️
Best video on offset hands down. Thanks a million guys💪🏽
You make so much sense, now I finally got it! Thank you so much
These are the best videos ever seen, thanks guys
Excellent, very articulate and concise. Thanks Atom.
+Meavis leonard Thank you! Our goal is video's that anyone can understand. Stay safe out there!
Thank you very much for your video. I've watched many and was still having issues with my backing. Your video is the BEST one yet that finally explains in very simple terms exactly has to solve problems. Thank you again!
thanks to youre videos made with excellent audio a very steady camera and very clear and to the point breif play by play explanations i got my cdl today.Hurrah
This video helped me quite a bit, your instructions were easier to follow than my instructor in my driving school.
We read that a lot. Thank you, Lee.
The picture at the end helped so much!! Thank you!!
Got my exam tomorrow. These vids for offset and alley make more sense in 10 min of video, than three weeks in training!
How did it go?
This video helped me so much to understand offset backing. My trainer is trash doesn’t know how to explain shit. Can’t wait to knock it out tomorrow on my second day.👌💪
The best explanation of the offset parking in RUclips, simple and it works . Thank you
I'm in school now and is having issues with controlling the wheel on straight back very helpful.
Adam you really explain things in a way anyone can understand your the best
You know it, BankCity. Atom is just as he appears in this video. Thank you for watching.
I watch these videos every day . I'm getting ready to test again very soon . Thanks for your help .
If your cones are set up the same way ours are, you should have no problems, Stacy. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Best offset backing explanation I've ever heard, thank you.
Nice! Thank you for watching and learning, MoneyMaker.
This video is literally the best thing on RUclips for people going into trucking.. I was having a really hard time backing in to my spots I’d sometimes get the trailer in but then realize I can’t straighten up my tractor then because I’m already in the cones.. you explaining to straighten your trailer and tractor up Constantly through the process really helps with that
yo Adam, man I just want to say thank you for making this video; because I have been in
school practicing my offset and Just could not pick up on how to steer my trailer into the lane.... And now that I've seen your video I can offset back in like a Pro!! God bless and thanks again .
Hey, thanks a lot. We really like teaching you guys from afar. We'll let Atom know how much his instruction helped you.
We also have Parallel Parking and an Alley Dock video:
Parallel ruclips.net/video/xz8ssubJUM8/видео.html
Alley Dock ruclips.net/video/PqLEdFbCQa0/видео.html
Thank you for watching, BodyBy.
Cool and it's really great that you guys make these vids... also tell Atom that this is my last week of school and it's because of his video that I feel comfortable with going into this week of my class A-CDL testing?
Thanks again.
Ull get it focus and relax
I am struggling in trucking school with offset backing. how do you check to see if the left corner of the trailer is above the left frame of the tractor ?
Omg this video is God sent! Thanks so much for this, very clear to understand as I've been having some challenge with the offset
Currently in school and this video helped me understand the offset more
WOW WELL FREAKING done !!! I love the explanation and visuals. You're very articulate, easy to understand and your voice is perfect. Now I'm going to watch the 90 degree backup. My road test is tomorrow and that's my weak point. Wish me luck :)
I love these videos! I also downloaded your pre-trip inspection study guide after watching that video! You are appreciated for what you do!! Thank you for the videos.
You're very welcome, Jason. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Thank you for this info I needed this. I'm going to school and pass my offset for sure today.
its a test day, hope this video makes a big difference as it gave me so much confidence. thanks Adem
I like the way you showed on this video how to do small turns… that’s what I was missing all the time…. Thanks for the tip👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wish I could attend your school instead of the one I’m in.
Right? But with a pull up, you can turn a very ugly attempt into a straight line back. :)
Can I be nosey and ask which school you are in my quote school are not very good teachers either .let's just say it's in murfreesboro tn sorry can't say which one still attending but it sucks
Same
My school sucks too
Same
Plain and simple. Easily understood this video. Big thanks✌🏾
Going to take my state tomorrow and practice this tonight
Great information and I like the graphics. I sure wish they would have shown this at my Roadmaster class BEFORE I started trying to this maneuver in the truck.
I am struggling in trucking school with offset backing. how do you check to see if the left corner of the trailer is above the left frame of the tractor ?
We all do! So true. They should have just given us these videos and the keys to the truck because all they do is sit on their asses and talk about the good old days of when they were young.
You're awesome man thank you very much I wish you were in las Vegas you know how to explain it way better then my trucking school instructor there's a part in teaching doing and teaching someone is different you're a natural teacher so.e people can do it but overlook the small details and that's the most important part in anything we do so thank you very much for explaining it so good
I go to NETTS in Somers CT and I’m having the hardest time understanding which one I turn my wheel to get the trailer to turn the desired direction and wow that diagram at the end I just took a snap shot of is going to help me tremendously!
Ohhh my Good 👍 I have seen a lot of video but I never see like this video helpful
Thanks 🙏🏻 for sharing this experience
I,m learning my CDL class Right now. I hope these videos will help me. Keep up guys even the teachers are using this technique because, they gonna watch those videos.
Yes this illustration definitely helped, appreciate it!
THESE VIDEOS ARE HELPFUL BUT NOTHING LIKE BEING IN THE TRUCK TO UNDERSTAND THE BASICS OF THE VEHICLE GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE DOING THIS IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO GET IT DOWN IT FINALLY CLIKED THE DAY OF MY TEST STAY WITH IT PRACTICE PRACTICE
This video is very helpful. The instructors at my school made this seem a whole lot harder than it is. They want us to get out and look and this extra stuff. I'm going to do it like this, and shut them the hell up. Great video.
+sinatre34 Thanks for the comment and best of luck with everything!
By far the best videos and instructors I’ve seen. Great positive energy and well explained.
I have my test tomorrow , i couldn't understand the offset the way they told me at school but from my day 1 i was watching this video even the parallel one . Today i tried this and i complete make offset, and i know that it'll help me al lot tomorrow to get my license. Lots of thanks for you guys .
