I was watching people backing up for allmost 3 weeks but this one is the THE best. Easy point to point. Thank you for posting this clip. I am sure lot of people will appreciate as I do.
This is an excellent video. By far the best video I have watched so far. This is exactly what I needed. I was having so much trouble with my backing and my instructor was not very clear on how to master the moves. Thank you so much you are the best and concise instructor I've heard so far.
Very good video. I found camera angles good. Commentary is free of unnecessary talk and is very concise. Each back up is done with utmost precision and matches commentary perfectly. I wish I could travel to your school for some lessons but am happy to know I can use your video lessons here at home. Well done sir well done
Wow! I graduated from GDA Conyers in October 2015 and we were on the dirt lot. This looks like a much nicer facility now! Watching this video gave me the same sense of excitement I had when I was a student there. I enjoyed the class.
This is where i got my cdl, now I drive for CFI...I'd recommend this cdl school..awesome instructors they got there..plus they test for the cdl at the same location you practice for two weeks so it makes taking the cdl test easier
I'm currently at the gda other location and I failed this maneuver because they have a different way to do the offset i wish I would have saw this before I tested i may have passed. Now when I retest im gonna try it this way. Thanks 😊 🙏
Yeah see the school I'm currently going to tells us we are allowed 2 get outs during the test but they don't actually have us get out when practicing. They keep us in the truck the whole entire time which makes it that much harder and probably one of the main reasons I am struggling so bad right now and am starting to have lots of self doubt 😢
Nice the offset technique i already do it just like that and the parallel i have almost the same technique but I'm going to try this one because it seems like it will be better for tighter spaces and the 90° alley docking I'm definitely going to try that technique seems pretty good to repeat and get good consistent results 👌
Good video, but have a question or two. On the Left Offset you say to have the left rear tire of the trailer lined up with the center line of the two lanes. The video shows the right rear tire of the trailer on the center line of the two lanes? And on the Right offset, it says line up the right rear trailer tire with the center line, yet the video shows the left rear lined up?
This is a pretty good video. But there's only this one little problem: I don't get the part where the narrator is saying that during the straight backing maneuver the steering wheel is to be turned "between the 9 and 6 position on the wheel (for left side corrections), and between the 3 and 6 position on the wheel (for right side corrections)," when it appears what he is calling the "6 position," I grew up knowing that position to be the 12 position! I did a quick glance at the comments and no one seems to have raised the issue. Can someone please help me out, here?
Treat the steering wheel like a clock the section that goes across is 9 to 3 in between your left and right hand so if you put your hand at 12 o'clock and turn your hand left from 12 to 9 the cross section of the steering wheel will be traveling between 9 and 6
i thought this video was very helpful until we got to the 90 deg alley dock. it’s not recommended to put tractor and trailer in a 90 with each other because air lines can pull and pop…. i’ve never seen it done this way, and I really need to watch videos on how to correct bad setups
This is a wonderful act for preorientation. But some of the trainer shout on you, very bad manner, specially the one in Conyers. It makes me sick. Some they treat you like a child. They are useless , but the people runs the office and upper management level are really very human and kind for drivers and great appreciation by coming to the school. Even though, I still love the GDa in Conyers GA.

I'm currently at the gda other location and I failed this maneuver because they have a different way to do the offset i wish I would have saw this before I tested i may have passed. Now when I retest im gonna try it this way. Thanks 😊 🙏

Best way of teaching. Thanks a lot for the vedio.

Great video. I'm going to use it for my students. Thx
Best video on YT
You refer to specific cones as target cones but it’s not clear which ones they are or how they are numbered. Can you please elaborate?
The center cone between the 2 lanes are the reference points for the right and left lane change the center 1st cone
What do you mean when half of the landing gear is exposed in the mirror. It appears in the video the whole mirror is exposed

What size trailer is that ?
Good video, but have a question or two. On the Left Offset you say to have the left rear tire of the trailer lined up with the center line of the two lanes. The video shows the right rear tire of the trailer on the center line of the two lanes? And on the Right offset, it says line up the right rear trailer tire with the center line, yet the video shows the left rear lined up?
@Brad J. Mitchel I had the same observation as you.
Awesome instructions this is perfect 👌😊
Great video! Thanks
Excellent presentation.
OH WOW THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO 2022
How long is the CDL class ?
Appreciate u kenny 💪🏿
After watching this video I remember now how hard it was to back up my first year as a truck driver😅
What do you mean by " half of the landing gear is exposed"?
If you need slow down press the clutch down first then the brake if needed????????
Great video I agree
Great job
Love this! Thank you!!
I like the video thanks again
GDA for the win 👍.
Does this work with sleeper cabs?
After not driving for 6 months
This video is the same way I learned in school except the 90degree alley
Very nice video
Any good recommendations for an online CDL school in Georgia?
Great video
thank you, Sir!
Can you tell me how long the trailer is please.
53 ft
Завтра утром на работу . thank you

wonderful
Anyone having a hard time with this that has a PC euro truck sim is literally a blessing for practice

Great education please focus how you Maneuver slowly . I gave up because of the instructor may shouting on you. Act like funny ballon
Every who was holding the camera had no clue what to show or where to show from. A lot of wasted video.
