I’m not one for the easy way out, but the driving took me almost all my weeks of training to get the hang of it. I’m usually good at everything I do and am just a natural at it. I have autism, and I got my CDL, so if I can do it, anyone can. My biggest advice and this is what made me go from all over the place to nailing every move with no pull-ups is to plan your first move, do it and then stop. Bring tractor and trailer straight and stop. Look out window and evaluate your situation. Then make your next move and stop. Re evaluate again and back it in. Physically look out your window, I sometimes reversed my plan of execution because I wasn’t looking at the corner of the trailer and was only looking on the mirror and got myself all messsd up. There is no rules in the CDL test that says you have to do the maneuver on a single motion. Stop as many time as you need to. You only get points when you pull up and or hit a boundary or cone, so take your time
Just wanna thank you because of this video I easily passed my maneuvers today and now just sitting here waiting with my wife to check online to see if I passed thanks man great work
This is the most useful video I’ve seen so far about learning and understanding angles. I knew there had to be a formula to this and I was right. The driving school my job sent me to is a joke and just keeps telling me to “ feel for it”.

Thank you, Safe Ride Driving Academy! This video provided awesome instructions that helped me successfully complete my CDL maneuverability test. Your guidance was invaluable!
Keep in mind, if your instructor is using lines or marks on THEIR training course, it’ll do you NO good on a different DMV course!! You must use the truck/trailer as your means to know when to make your steering wheel moves.
I back up pretty good with one pull up on the parallel parking. But the truck that I use is short, so it definitely Jack knives. Really quick, but this is a great demonstration. Great video
This is a great video I watched it so many times I still failed I did better in practice then on my test 😞 and I failed on a straight back to make it even worse and I usually do good with straight back and offset parallel is what supposed to be the hard one for me guess 😞
I didn’t do parallel for my CDL just 90 , straight and offset , my offset was terrible I just pull all the way forward and back straight after the initial setup , I wish seeing this video before good explanation, I got cero points in the offset anyway but look awful 😂 , I don’t remember doing any parallel parking at anytime for now but good to know
I just watch the first part of video straight if i did everything exactly same i would have failed when he turned on hazards im not allowed to switch hazards through the sterring wheel as wheel can jar and hurt your arm and second when finishing we have to set the brakes before we take out of gear just little things like that seem ridiculous to get deducted points right away but driving technique is nice
Did you find a video that talked about splitting the V? The tips video is good as well, but I'd like to learn about the V as well because I remember one of the instructors at my school teaching his students that technique. I would think that is good when you don't have lines and cones.
For parallel my instructor makes us line up the cone with the rear bumper, then start the manuever...which is it line the reat bumper up with the cone or the rear tire??? I tried it his way and stunk....got 3 weeks left ...gotta get parallel down packed
Most vids I've seen show setup between tandems but i was taught between ICC and last tandem. You nearly went out of bounds. What, if any, is benefit of mid-tandem setup?
At 5minutes 5 seconds you exit the truck totally wrong! That's an automatic fail for would be truckers that's trying to get their CDL. If you're going to teach, teach 100 percent correctly.

I passed my Road test yesterday in NYC. Big Thanks for your help 🙏
Your Road test video for CDL 😊
After watching 50 videos this is the best explication that every student is going to need. Thank you so much I really appreciate this video.
Thank you. We're glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for the video y'all need to make more maneuvers videos I'm in CDL school now

Good text but why here.
This was the most helpful video I saw on the parallel parking maneuver. You gave a method to the madness.
So glad I was in the last round of the old test, straight line, offset, and alley dock. The new test seems like it would be harder
This video was awesommeeee!!! Good refreshers for those of us that took some bs course that stalled us out from going to dps to test!
Thank you I've been practicing and doing it exactly like I see it in the video, works every time. ...Now for that alley dock 😑.
I passed my CDL test 9/3/23 first time. Added an tanker endorsement. Thanks again

I have only backed like this about 2 times in 37 years over the road driving, and it was at a rest stop. Don't know why they want this on a test.

Hi. Thank you for watching. Make sure to watch our other videos. I hope they help.

Thanks for reaching out. We will definitely be working on that next. 💯

Helpful video.
I hope my question makes sense but how deep do you go into your 45? Do you split the V in the landing gear or do you go a little past it?
Watch our other video on the "top 6 tips" it will have more information on the parallel parking.

I know the struggle, I have ECDL.
I wish my test was on a smooth road. Mines gonna be at a yard that dirt and gravel and unlevel
Lionel Richie Sings Real Loud (Left, Right, Straight, Right, Left) This is how my instructor explains it.
How many chances do you get?

Thanks
This test to my husband is going to be like 1+1=2 is big truck driver with so many years of experience but no money to move from Africa 😭😭
Simplified skill 👍🏻
perfect. so informative
CDL's should be just like pilot certification
U said turn left and now i drove off landed in the ocean 🤦♂️

Sir , U said left steering turn. That's wrong, U did right thing U turn Right side steering wheel 🎡 🛞 👏

Good 👍
9.48 left or right. ?
👀
Shame the gov insists on pointless manoeuvres.
Nice video and explanation though.
On your first GOAL, you exited the truck without the 3 point method.
Automatic Fail.
it sucks that the examiner told me I have to get of the truck 5 times 2 4 parallel 2 4 offset 1 4 strait back
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Peace of cake ! Lol 😂
Necessary in order language.
Doesn't look like a 53' looks like a 48?
