Fun fact: the finger trap initially showed all ten fingers ripped off individually but it kept making the movie nc17, so they only shwoed around five on screen and used more sound effects for the rest. also the main special effects guy or the director kept the prop severed fingers and got pulled over by customs and had to explain why he had fake bloodied fingers on him.

I think the idea of Saw becoming an anthology series is ripe with potential. So many different ideas of what you could do. Since the idea of John was to build a following you could make each installment about different apprentices, cult members, or copycats. Each with different interpretations of his message and methodology. Maybe one is about a follower who targets certain types of offenders prefers the escape room style traps. Maybe one is about a small town and they get a new resident and come to find out important members of the town are a jigsaw cult pruning the unsavory (might get sued by Edgar Wright for that one). One could be more of a psychological thriller where a cult member is trying to groom a new convert out of a meek person abused by society by targeting people who have abused and taken advantage of them. So many ideas. They could have a legit franchise and never have to do another mainline entry

3:38-4:06 Well, considering what Chris pretty much had to deal with at the Oscars, I'd say it might as well be kind of funny that, after this movie came out, where his character basically goes all "oh woe is me" on the fact that he's basically not allowed to use dehumanizing slurs, or claim that people are "too sensitive" to allow films like Forest Gump to be made, he pretty much got called out and slapped for insulting someone's wife.
What i would is that, i would do a continue a story to each sequel and then by the end of the movie we see who the killer is by the end of the final movie
Main problem wit this movie was that i guessed who the killer was as soon as he showed up on screen. Like i really thought it was so obvious that there was gonna be a second twist after he was unmasked. Ik ive seen alot of horror movies and saw movies but like i really dont see how anyone could have suspected anyone else
I think a movie showing the transformation of John into Jigsaw, from his perspective, would be more interesting than any of these; an origin story from the killers perspective. Yeah at this point most of these are kind of cash grabs but... Showing John after his suicide attempt and how he would walk through the world adopting his Jigsaw perspective would be cool I think.
I like how they tried 2 do something different With Spiral 🌀🤡🚲but I feel they didn't succeed in that Try tbh! It could have better potential if there able 2 get a 3rd 1!
I agree with you. I think most of the hate of the movie is "It's not Saw". That's right, it's not. It's a copycat. And yea, the traps aren't survivable, which is part of the point this time around. As you point out, the killer is there for revenge. And I agree that the editing, the choice of when they play some scenes and when they do flashbacks, leaves a bit to be desired. Still, it was interesting seeing a different take.
Tbh the opening trap with the train isnt fair. The tongue had vital vains in it and tbh if it gets ripped out then hed bleed to death anyway. So its more like death or death

Here's your new partner, a rookie.
So that's the killer right? He's going to be the killer, like 99.9% sure its him.
Yup, it was him. Saw it from a mile away.

Well, considering what Chris pretty much had to deal with at the Oscars, I'd say it might as well be kind of funny that, after this movie came out, where his character basically goes all "oh woe is me" on the fact that he's basically not allowed to use dehumanizing slurs, or claim that people are "too sensitive" to allow films like Forest Gump to be made, he pretty much got called out and slapped for insulting someone's wife.
What i would is that, i would do a continue a story to each sequel and then by the end of the movie we see who the killer is by the end of the final movie
Damn when I saw spiral I thought you where gonna talk about the Japanese horror movie
Honestly the voice filter for the killer was so bad that when you did your own bit I thought it was the actual scene for a second.
I enjoyed it and it felt like a fresh beginning. It was easy to figure out once they skipped over the one guys test.
I get to watch the new Decker Shado review while also continue to color in my fan art of Riptor from Killer Instinct. fun times. ^-^
I like how they tried 2 do something different With Spiral 🌀🤡🚲but I feel they didn't succeed in that Try tbh!
It could have better potential if there able 2 get a 3rd 1!
"Oh fuck its DreamCast guy" 😂
I agree with you. I think most of the hate of the movie is "It's not Saw". That's right, it's not. It's a copycat. And yea, the traps aren't survivable, which is part of the point this time around. As you point out, the killer is there for revenge. And I agree that the editing, the choice of when they play some scenes and when they do flashbacks, leaves a bit to be desired. Still, it was interesting seeing a different take.
“No way to tell who this guy is…”. I see what you did there.
“Oh, fuck, it’s Dreamcast guy.” 😂😂😂💀
Writing comment at the beginning of the video to see it all before Jigsaw strikes down this review!.
It's actually not the first time Saw used traps that were impossible to survive or someone mimicking Jigsaw's traps for his personal vendetta.
True that. Amanda made her traps inescapable and both Hoffman and Logan pursued vengeance. Only Dr. Gordon really stayed true to John's ideology.
Tbh the opening trap with the train isnt fair. The tongue had vital vains in it and tbh if it gets ripped out then hed bleed to death anyway. So its more like death or death
8:19 is this loss?
the jigsaw sketches and voice were hilarious
Amish paradise is still a masterpiece. I was really counting on you doing a parody of something recent but I don't blame you that you haven't. Music is shit these days.
