Cost of Living in Lombok Indonesia!

- You want to know how expensive is Lombok Indonesia? In this Video I will show you my cost of living. And give You a nice Impression of the prices here. I spend the last couple of months at the awesome island Lombok. I tried to live here low budget. I show you my living cost, some prices at the traditional Market and what I pay for a nice Beach view ;)
First we are starting this Vlog in the morning with a nice cheap local breakfast. For 15.000 Indonesian Rupiah you become a good clean meal calls „Extra Telur“ the Extra is for the Egg. After we finished our dish we have a look at my small apartment aka room :) it comes with all basics what you need, air condition included. I pay for the room only 1.700.000 Indonesian Rupiah its €96,40 for a whole month. In Germany I paid for a room with 30m2 almost €600 all included. I even have a small kitchen to cook for myself here in Mataram Lombok.
After the room tour, we are heading to the biggest traditional market here in Lombok :) not only the prices are interested, also the atmosphere here. Here you will become all what you need to eat, but I avoid the meat… I think it will be not a good idea for me to eat the meat from the market. The costs at the Market are really low. One kilo potatoes cost 14.000 Indonesian Rupiah and one bunch bananas only 10.000 Indonesian Rupiah. Very good.
At the next day, we driving to the beach. But before we reach the beach, we have a lunch :) some nice grilled fish. All for 90.000 Indonesian Rupiah. At the end of the Video i tell you what i pay per month. And also my costs when i travel through Indonesia.

I went to Lombok a few years ago and loved it. But I am hoping to go again this year in July but I'm not sure what the situation is with Covid restrictions. I'm planning to fly from the UK via a stopover (maybe KL or Singapore) then onto Lombok. Any advice for latest updates

You get cheaper meal just find "nasi bungkus" it can cost as cheap as 5k -10k depends on where you are but more or less its the same.

I'm honestly pretty surprised they gave you normal rate and prices. Some places especially tourism area, when they see foreigners, they raise the price twice or thrice... Exceptions for minimarket (indomart, alfamart, yomart) and supermarket. Nice find, m8.
@@out-there666 the room rent is pretty fair as well for a monthly rate. I mean you got the A/C, fridge, personal kitchen space, and toilet inside the room (contrary to the communal bath and toilet usually found in very cheap "apartment" in Java island) That's quite a fair deal.
The motorcycle rate is also still within the reasonable rate...
Which area in Lombok are you, m8?

Why rice, carots and potatoes are so expensive ? I pay less in Romania !!! Rice is 50 eurocents ,carrots are 30 eurocents and potatoes are 15 eurocents / kilo !!!

Do you think that if you go alone to the market they will tell you more expensive prices? Which camera do you use for the video, only go pro? We are moving to Lombok in few months, but yes they extra cost of the visa is like 100€ extra per month 🥲🥲🥲
@@out-there666 @Martin Bkuss I like or I try to buy in shop that they put the price, I saw sometimes in Bali but not very often. But yes also in Bali when I went to some local places where no tourist use to buy I guess I got good prices at least comparing with any supermarket :) Also still in doubt between Bali or Lombok (we was in covid time in Bali and was really nice, probably now is overcrowded and overpriced again 🥲😅) but Lombok could be a bit bored for long term, need find another island maybe 😂 Doubting between, Penang, Florianopolis, Lombok/Bali, Dominic Republic (at least here no visa need for long term).
