- Part two of our Lombok food journey collaboration with Elite Havens. We arrived at Mataram City in Lombok for an authentic Indonesian lunch. We then travelled North West through a monkey forest and arrived at an impressive six-acre coconut palm villa called Sira beach, and yes, it’s beachfront; what a dream! The villa Chefs cooked us excellent local and Indonesian food.
We then took a casual walk next door to villa Sepoi Sepoi for another fantastic experience. Our Gun Chef cooked us Ayam Taliwang, a delicious spicy BBQ chicken Lombok style.
We then toured the local village to see the Lombok earthquake aftermath and the rebuilding of houses thanks to generous donations.
Our Chef cooked us coconut pandam pancakes, and we had the most fantastic sunset BBQ on the beach. Lombok is a true island paradise, and it’s still a secret.

Cheers Gary, yes that chicken was amazing, on top of that they are the free range organic chickens that run a round the village. The meat is firm and tastier. The earthquake was very sad, but they are rebuilding and it will be better than ever.
Very impressive video. Love the drone footage and the detail but concise information you provide! The sweet coconut pandan crepe is one of our favorite Dessert as it is also a blend of different culture, the crepe is dutch (Panekuk) as Indonesia was the Dutch colony for over 300 years, the coconut shredded and palm sugar is native Indonesian (Javanese), and the Art of folding is Chinese as 4-5% of Indonesians have ethnic chinese background.

I understand.. life is not perfect but we have to keep rowing my friend. Many moons ago, I left Costa Rica with two beautiful oceans to choose where to spend the weekend ahead, 70 to 80 degrees all year around, honestly...it was a heaven on earth, now live in N.Y.C. and is a totally different kind of jungle. I miss the simplicity of life, if you know what I mean. You are a cool guy, thanks for replying.

With this Corona virus, those villas are the perfect location to go with your family 👪 ❤ not too many people, so its safe 👍.
I surpose to holidays in Bali and Lombok last year august with familys🙄 when the disaster of volcano at that time we change our plan around 3 weeks to Singapore and Bintan😍👍🏻 We can't refund the money for the villa in Bali and flight to Lombok but the villa offer us another 7 mths valid till March 2019 unfortunaly there is no school holidays at that time. Im looking 4ward to Indo again🤩✌🏻
