Absolutely love watching your videos when they release, but I have one question when are you integrating the D&D set into your kingdom

If people have no problem charging +$30 USD for a "Spooky Fright Knight", then I had NO problem buying all the Wolfpack Beastmasters from my nearest store. Sorry Collectors/Scalpers, you created this monster.

Fits great! We have this, didn’t even think of incorporating it into my castle world. Would make a great sorcerer’s tower, with maybe a couple of Ninjago forest dragons guarding it. You’ve got me thinking!

I've gotten several Friends sets when they were heavily discounted because I think they'll integrate very well with the Disney characters.

When I read "Oz" in the title; I half-expected the Lion, Scarecrow, Tinman or even Elphaba to appear in your kingdom

If you do want to move from dolls to minifigures the Lego movie 2 series had Dorothy, Toto, The scarecrow, tin man, and cowardly lion, and some other Lego movie/dimensions sets had both the wicked witch and flying monkeys. Of course Lego has released a lot of more generic witches and so wicked witch is pretty easy to just create as is a wizard of Oz from various green suits Lego has released over the years. You could create a pretty great good witch from either the Sleeping beauty CMF, the Rococo aristocrat CMF, or even a Hermione figure with a pink ball gown from a few years back. It would be interesting to see you build out some more of the land of Oz.

Thom, I think it’s great to integrate that Wicked Castle in your world! I love the colors for it. I have no problems with the mini dolls. I can’t wait for Lego to release a knight figure in mini doll form and then that will really upset the “purists” 😉😂 There’s also that Maleficent’s Dragon Form set from the Disney theme. It’s a great looking dragon, and if I were into Dragons I’d add it in a heartbeat, regardless of the theme. I noticed the Dragonians in the new Ninjago sets. I’m thinking of adding them to my Fantasy Castle World, I’ve got some ideas for them. How about you? Talking about Lego Friends, I integrated the Botanical Garden into my Medieval Fantasy World. Just Modified it, changed the windows, changed the roof. For me, it’s absolutely the best feeling to take something from another theme and integrate into my Fantasy Castle World. Keep up the good work, and keep on inspiring me to think “outside the box” 😉😂 I’ve got big ideas for those Wolfpack Beastmasters now, thanks to you!

I have never been a fan of the Land of Oz, which has caused some drama between me and my wife, so I will probably not use the Emerald City set unless she makes me. The idea of using the steampunk minifigure as a clockwork man is a great idea and I continue to enjoy your story.

I like it!! I was just in a re-creation of the original vaudeville show of Oz from 1903. I am in a soon-to-be released “Wogglebug the movie” by Offsite Theatre on RUclips. It is based on the 1905 vaudeville musical. You would probably appreciate it! I want to build Oz figures too

I always like it when we see more of the deeper Oz lore. Too many people solely focus on the first book because that's the one that got the famous movie, but it's an entire universe. And I love your clockwork soldier faction! If I get enough of the steampunk inventor minifig I might make one for myself...

Hi Thom. Great video. I love how you make good use of what is currently available (as opposed to focusing on getting sets and minifigs from past years) and also tie so much in with stories and lore from different fantasy series (new and old).

I was shocked to see Ace Hardware is selling off brand Lego sets from a company called Nova Brix, and I was genuinely shocked how close the parts looked and felt compared to Lego. Even the hair piece to the fake minifigure looked similar to Lego's, only with better detailing! Way I see it, there is no shame using off brand parts. It's like an artist and his painting, only the artist knows where the flaws are, while the onlookers see nothing but a masterpiece.

These past few months I’ve really debated joining the Lego Castle community.. you guys seem like you have so much fun. I have quite the ninjago collection myself, love most of the dragons and the villains usually work as villains. Now waiting for you to get to the Nexo Knights villains :D.

Have you heard of Brick Warrior? They have their own custom designs. If you wish to give your commanders some pimped out armor.

Im late now but my resolution are to build a lego room out of my spare bedroom and start a youtube channel. I basically have the table built. But idk anything about making youtube videos. 😅

I think that the Lego ninja, the father/grandfather of Ninjago, was originally a subsection of castle in the mid to late 90s

Ninjago is such a good Lego theme it has so many great characters and builds

Your storytelling is great, as usual. Using that Ninjago set is a great idea; I need a place for my serpent men to hang out, so I found a set online after watching this video. I just recently built the LEGO Lion Knight Castle set and it was a struggle for me to build, so I get where you are coming from. In the end the struggle was worth it though.

I haven’t gotten any Ninjago sets yet. I think it’s great to integrate themes when you’re doing Fantasy Castle. I’ll get Harry Potter and Dreamzzz sets for parts and figures and even ideas for my Fantasy World. Finally got some Wolfpack Beastmasters!! Your idea of having them as Rangers has sparked an exciting idea for me. Definitely looking forward to the next 3-in-1 Castle and the Unicorn Castle too!

That Ninjago set fits in well. I like all the bright colors and creativity.

Yeah, Lego has continued to make castles, but mostly more fantasy or from other themes. Over the years I've pulled stuff from Harry Potter, Ninjago, monkey kid, Dreamzzz, Even some Disney princess stuff. Basically anything fantasy adjacent that has either Minifigures or structures or brick-built creatures that will fit into my Lego Kingdom. Harry Potter and Ninjago I found are the best two for getting both minifigure parts that will fit and builds that can be modified to more generic fantasy castle.

SO much fun. I use the disney Wish 43223 set with my Eldorado fortress

So glad you found the Ninjago sets fit well with the castle theme. There are a couple of new big Ninjago dragon sets coming out soon which look amazing, might have to pick one or two up. The smaller green dragon is always sold out here in the UK, must be all us castle fans!

I have all of the Ninjago City sets which I got since it is based on reality in which I like which reminds of Old Hanoi in Vietnam. Last winter I completed the Ninjago City Gardens with 6,000 pieces and I am 60 years old. Now I am completing the Avenger Tower which reminds me of ordinary skyscraper like building that you would see in any large city of today.

I use Disney princess set pieces for new Lego castle parts.

Well, I only added the uncustomized new Wolfpack figure to go along in a band with the Wolfpack character from the Medieval Town Square which I customized with a quiver above the cape and dual-molded legs sporting black boots. But I came up with a similar idea when it came to the Pretorian Guard theme, because I had some old torsos with the crossed halberds from the 80s Lion Knights garrison and combined them with the new shield that came with the 10305 castle. Equipped with that and silver clip-on halberds (compared to old brown single-mold pieces) the soldiers stand out from the standard Lion Knights and serve as an elite guard to royalty or important civilians like the tax collector.

Although my 10305 Castle diorama is already packed and doesn't even accommodate the little Forestmen hideout tree anymore, I'm intrigued by the idea of somehow adding this dragon, maybe suspended above in flight. IMHO the design strikes a very good balance between old-school brickbuilding and some refined modern building techniques. Thanks for the SFOL perspective.

I’m 60 and recently got into the adult Lego kits, they are amazing fun to build. I’ve always built plastic model kits by tamiya revell etc but I’m really enjoying some of these Lego kits. Some recent builds I’ve done are the classic bat mobile the pac man arcade and the ghostbusters ecto car. I think I might have to build more shelves to display them, anyway you have a new subscriber from the uk 👍
