i have always liked 3 in 1 set's .I have done a lot of alternate builds with them.If you want to put fire coming out of it's mouth ,you can take those 2 little white clip parts and turn them forward and a flame piece will come straight out the front .I would like to get 2 of this set for the 2 other builds .take care
I loved the intro with the lore; glad to see others close to my age doing the same thing with LEGO. This dragon would fit in great with my kingdom, and I do plan on getting at least one, but might wait till there is a sale.
Hey weird question, but did your childhood wonder ever leave you? Combining sets from a bunch of different themes into a cohesive world is so cool. One set to look into might be the Disney wish asha's cottage.
Nograd. I see what you did there. Great name for a mighty dragon. I'll definitely be picking that one up. I'll be interested to see it next to my Red Dragon's tail dragon.
Although my 10305 Castle diorama is already packed and doesn't even accommodate the little Forestmen hideout tree anymore, I'm intrigued by the idea of somehow adding this dragon, maybe suspended above in flight. IMHO the design strikes a very good balance between old-school brickbuilding and some refined modern building techniques. Thanks for the SFOL perspective.
Check out the Spider too, it may be small, but it has great pose-ability and a neat feature of the web string, which could be better if it unwound slower so when hung did not fall at full speed but otherwise is a top set for a nice price.
I think that the brick-built creatures are great! I’m always fascinated by the use of pieces for different forms. I’m not a big fan of dragons, but if I were then this would definitely be a great set to get. I’d also look on PAB and in my inventory to see about making another dragon in different colors. Why not, right? 😂 So far, my favorite brick-built creature is the Owlbear in the D&D set, and I’ve seen online MOC instructions to make a Grand Owlbear, which I’m planning on making. So I think the brick-built creatures are a great addition to the Legoverse. The more the better!! Glad to see you enjoyed this one. 👍
I got this dragon last week and it's really cool, I kinda hope they make individual D&D minifigures so that I can recreate my Dragonborn characters. I made one of them in Baldur's Gate 3, his name is Izgendar and he's an Eldritch Knight that uses a greatsword (and keeps a crossbow just in case he can't firebolt or magic missile someone from afar), currently going thru the Underdark in the first act.
@@tbsince1954 I definitely did enjoy building it, it's standing proudly on one of my shelves guarding his treasure from anyone foolish to try and take it
I've been collecting Lego's medium to large scale dragons since the Skull Sorcerer's Dragon, most of them being from Ninjago, a couple from Monkie Kid, the D&D set, the Chinese Auspicious Dragon, Harry Potter Horntail. This new one is a nice addition. I bought it but haven't built it yet. I'm thinking of rotating the clips that form the teeth, as it's one of the dubious design choices of the set, and adding one of my spare Marvel flame effects to the front clip.
I had similar thoughts, this set would fit both into the castle and Viking world. A German shop had it for preorder for a couple of days for just 45€ but I couldn’t convince myself to buy it. I didn’t like the dragon included in the 3in1 castle a lot and having even more green and red parts didn’t appeal to me. I considered building the serpent, then again I like the colors of the older serpent included in the Viking ship even better. However, I guess I’ll pick one up sooner or later. Having just started to buy Lego again last year it feels good to not be thinking of sets retiring soon but to know this will be available for a while.
This dragon fits so well alongside the dragon in the Lego Dungeons & Dragons castle set, and in some ways I'd say it's even better (the bottom jaw actually stays on for one thing). I just finished building this set and I absolutely love it, Lego 3-in-1 sets are always amazing and some of their best value sets.
@@tbsince1954 the red dragon is still an awesome-looking build and is great for display if you have the space for it, it just doesn't feel as sturdy as the green dragon, especially that bottom jaw (man I hate the jaw on the red dragon, it falls off way too easily)
My kids and I just built this today. It's a fantastic dragon to add to all my (I mean "our") castle sets. I have several Dragon Masters sets leftover from my childhood, and it's fun to have this upgraded dragon to add with them. Also, I didn't like a lot of the 3-in-1 sets that I saw from the pics, but so far we have picked up the castle, the pirate ship, and this dragon, and all of them have been winners.
One of my favorite things about this dragon, is how it resembles the classic Lego molded dragon from the 90s and early 00s sets (Knights Kingdom, Dragon Knights, etc.) :)
I love dragons with all my heart, so I picked this one up for sure. I think the colors are a nod to Ollie, Legolands mascot which is of course a little green dragon with red wings. The first official lego dragon also shares the same coloring
I love this set. Easy buy at 2x . Might try to add the sea Serpent head to the dragon. Regardless, the issue with Creator 3 in 1 is that they usually avoid making things really good (for example they don't put molded animals, and very few, if any, minifigs). This would have been a great opportunity to have a knight or 3 ... they just didn't add them. I am so hoping the Creator 3 in 1 Castle is a real leak and htat they make either multiple factions or one "nondescript" faction, kinda like the black knights were in the 90s - they had shields and the plumes, but their torso prints and armor could have gone to any faction.
The current leaked information for the creator 3 in 1 castle is: 31168 Medieval Horse Knight Castle ($120, 1371 pieces, August). Not sure if horse knight is more related to their faction or just their mode of transportation, but it will be nice to get a few more horses with the set.
It can also be used a giant statue in a Lego amusement park or as an attraction in a town or city. I heard that there is town in Illinois that has giant large objects such as a pencil, mailbox, bird cage and a lot of other giant things.
I will definitely be buying this. Big dragon fan. I have quite a few of the massive Ninjago dragons. The D&D dragon. I have the 2000s Castle dragons, and a Smaug. Though it's not a dragon, I have a rebrickable model of a Nazgul from Lord of the Rings with a Ringwraith rider
I have the DnD Red Dragons Tale that I have yet to build unfortunately. I wonder how that dragon compares to the green 3 in 1. I haven't seen any videos yet comparing the two. I have a crap load of insider points I will likely use on this set but I wish there was a comparison video before I buy. Just a curiosity as I will buy anyway but well...I'm weird.
It's a great idea for a comparison video! My local Bricks and Minifigs had a used D&D set built. The wings on the dragon are very different; that’s really what caught my attention.
I'm looking forward to building this set for my D&D world. Waiting for a sale to pick up 3 of them. I want the sea serpent for my Viking village and the phoenix for my mages tower.
I’ve recently reevaluated what makes a good set based on # of mocs on rebrickable. 3 in 1s are a decent bet because if they successfully do 3 things they can probably do more. As to creature sets, look up the easter bunny 31133, another 3 in 1. The number of alt mocs for it is insane, so many different kinds of animal.
I really like the creator 3-in-1. I usually build all three versions, and build the version I like the most last. That way I can decide whether to spend money to buy another set for the alternative builds, and still be left with the version I like the most.
I'm going to get the set and to add fire just turn the fangs round 90 degrees and put flame element in the middle. I loved the story at the start of video.
Oh yes, at least one of these dragons will be mine. I'm a big fan of the creator 3 in 1 sets, especially the animals and creatures. The designers for these sets have been knocking them out of the park the last couple of years. I wish these had existed when I was a kid.
Add this dragon to the D&D set and make the Paladin ride him . Mine looks fantastic but it needed modding this green dragon rocks but I’ll wait till it’s on sale big time 18 months from now as it’s just come out I’ll pick up at least 5 of them .
I still do have to convince my ever loving wife to give me one of those for my birthday which is less than two months away. We'll see if i'm successful 😂
I'm afraid I've deleted someone's comment, a total accident. If this is you, I'm really sorry. Old fingers! I have to be more careful!

Finally found one last week and this build was FANTASTIC! I knew I had to have it when pictures leaked last year.

It will be awesome to see them together! I have to get the D&D set built!

I just decided to get it too! For my LEGO Stop Motion animation series called “Moo Cow”
Very cool!
NO WAY!!! that's so cool! Also Ninjago dragons rising season 3 January wave sets came out, I think you should check them out!

Yes, I'm not even sure I'll build the red dragon in that D&D set, I may just use this green one instead, since it's so well engineered!

Can’t wait to build my dd castle as well. Great ideas!
Simply rotate the ‘teeth’ (the clip pieces) around and then you can add the classic fire piece into the mouth. Simplest fix ever.
Thanks for the ideas!
You can easily change the clip teeth piece and turn it and add flames to it with very little effort
Im going to try that! Thanks!

Absolutely!
