This turned out so well! I especially love the inclusion of the Ninjago dragon for the vampire knights. Glad we were able to hook you up with some awesome figs 😊
Seriously a fun challenge between the 3 of you. Out of all the designs, I think yours was the most clean and the most professional. You also managed a more uniform look for the armies, while still keeping very individualized minifigs and some of them were really good. The castle wall was also way more polished and even the groundwork, while basic, just had a more realistic look which I like. For all those things, I think you won the challenge, despite cutting some corners like adding a complete dragon from an existing set, or a tree from the Horizon Zero Dawn set. The stuff that you did fully built for yourself was great though and just a bit better than what the others came up with. Having said that, I think all 3 of you had a superfun video and made excellent armies and mocs. I wish I could have seen a little more of all the extra stuff that Firebird and Sands had made but didn't use. There was so much fun stuff in those armies, probably some good stuff to use in future builds. Thanks for making these videos, I subbed to this channel as well. This wasn't my first Firebird video, but I'm looking forward to some more now.
Wow, this was a great collaboration challenge! I love castle and army building so it was very interesting to see how you all built your factions up. Yours is definitely the standout Firebird! Really enjoy your walkthrough of the factions and each have a good consistent structure of leaders, support unit and beast pairing. Plus the minifies were unique with good armour and weapons! Your castle build and and landscaping was also the best! I'd say you win this challenge over Sands and Holly by a fair margin!
I think you clearly and precisely explained what I liked about the armies too. Each have a unique look, but feel like a uniform army. This is something I loved from putting together a Warhammer 40K / Fantasy army and that clearly works well with lego factions too.
Lore for the Lego Castle Armies (My take): Credits to: Harry Potter, SHYTIMEismyTIME, Legends of Chima, What’s going on in the video? After centuries of fighting amongst themselves, five Lego Castle factions; the Fright Knights, Crown Knights, Crusaders/Lion Knights, Forestmen, Black Falcons, and Red Dragons have come together in an alliance to stabilize their kingdoms. And just in time too, because the orcs and trolls have teamed up for the first time in years since their defeat at the hands of the Crown Knights. Will this unlikely alliance be able to fend off the hordes of Orcs and Trolls? Or will they get back to fighting each other? Only time will tell. Fright Knights - 0:53 Led by the infamous Basil the Bat Lord, the Fright Knights are the most unlikely people to form an alliance with their enemies. But after a devastating defeat to a combined force of Royal Knights and Dragon Masters, Basil had given up his quest for world domination. So by the time he had rebuilt his followers, he reached out to the Crusaders and the Red Dragons to form an alliance. Thankfully, his fellow Fright Knights, including a now vampiric Willa the Witch (1:43), were still loyal to their leader, and encouraged him to form the alliance. Crown Knights - 2:46 Having heard that their old archenemies had returned, newly coronated king of the Crown Knights, Prince Varen (3:12), son of the now retired Crown King Brutus, had sent messengers to Basil the Bat Lord to ask him if they can join his slowly growing alliance. Knowing that the Crown Knights knew about the orcs and trolls longer than any other faction, Basil accepted their offers to join him. Thus, making the Crown Knights the most valuable additions to the alliance. Forestmen - 5:28 Another valuable member of the alliance is the Forestmen, currently led by Roland (5:44), a descendant of Robin Hood and Maid Marian. Why are they important for this alliance, you ask? You see, after Roland’s children, Roger and Regina (5:53), spotted the evil banner of the Orcs and Trolls waving above the treetops of Sherbet Forest, they immediately reported this encounter to the recently married King Arthur of the Red Lions, and Queen Lionessa of the Crusaders, who had just started their alliance with the Fright Knights and Red Dragons. Wanting to pay their debts Robin Hood’s people, the newly married couple decided to put the Forestmen in the alliance. Crusaders/Lion Knights - 7:14 When the recently married King Arthur of the Red Lions (7:27), and Queen Lionessa of the Crusaders (7:39) received an invitation for an alliance by none other than Basil the Bat Lord, the couple were immediately suspicious. But after hearing Basil’s reasons as to why he asked them for an alliance, they trusted him and agreed to form this unlikely partnership with the Fright Knights and the Red Dragons. With this, the Lion Knights have become the richest member of the alliance, benefiting greatly from the trading between kingdoms. Red Dragons - 9:04 Another unlikely factions to join the alliance are the Red Dragon Knights, who are still led by their evil Dragon Wizard (9:41), a descendant of Mallock the Malign, and former apprentice of the Green Dragons’ Wizard. Despite the many Dragon and Lion factions having a centuries long rivalry with each other, this Dragon Wizard took the chance to reform, and the Red Dragons were able to begin their path to redemption. Going so far, as to be kind enough to give Basil’s Fright Knights one of their dragons. Black Falcons - 10:37 We’ve finally reached the largest army within the Unlikely Alliance; the Black Falcons. Currently ruled by King Fredric Falcondor (10:44), a descendant of the Black Knight, they have spent many years in isolation. Slowly rebuilding their numbers and influence, until they had enough to make themselves known again. The Black Falcons would eventually approach Queen Lionessa’s castle, thus officially making contact with the Lion Knights for the first time in ages. Though they come as old friends joining a new alliance, just how long will this unprecedented period of tranquility prevail? Only time would tell. Orcs and Trolls - 11:57 The Orcs and Trolls were originally part of a villainous horde, led by Mallock the Malign and his army of the dead. But after Mallock’s defeat at the hands of Crown King Brutus, and famed time traveler, Clutch Powers, they were forced to go their separate ways. With the trolls carving out a new kingdom deep within the mountains, and the orcs splitting up into different clans and war bands in the steppes and swamps. However, when the Orcs received a call to arms from the Council of Three Scimitars, they rejoined with their old allies, and are slowly making plans to conquer the world, again. The Unlikely Alliance must stop this new threat, before it’s too late. Siege of the Dragon Mountain - 14:52 The Unlikely Alliance’s teamwork and logistics have been put to the test. As the Orcs and Trolls march to the Crown Kingdom of Ashlar, home of the Crown Knights, they must fight their way through many obstacles. Set up by the Unlikely Alliance. Starting with the Dragon Mountain, a fortress built by the Red Dragon Knights to train dragons and imprison Princess Emma of the Blue Lions. Will the Red Dragons be able to hold the line and prove their strength to their new allies? Or will the Orcs and Trolls take it over? We may never know.

Phenomenal video I loved the Dragon leaders, just wanted to point out that the swords you called longswords are arming swords, longswords are two-handed.
I love your star wars stuff but I am truly happy and excited to watch this video with the castle sets! Please make more of them! or even do a DnD related mock
Dang. This is gonna be a hard choice. But personally, I think that Holly's moc is the best. Working on a VERY small budget of minifigures and weapons, while also enhancing the fantasy feel really bodes well in her favor. Sands definitely had the best army, and you had the best budget for a large creative project, but I'm gonna have to go with Holly. Also... being in a similar situation with very few castle figs and just now getting into the fandom, really persuades me to choose that moc. I really like to see how creativity is used, especially on such a small scale. The tree was absolutely my favorite part of Holly's whole build. I just... it felt like there was life and it felt very unique to me. It wasn't embellished with a ton of detail like yours and Sands, but it was much simpler. Using existing bricks and really just spending money on minifigure torsos and parts from the minifigure tower really shows that creativity like an average Lego builder (though, I will not assume that Holly is one! She has much more creativity than I do). In the end, everyone did a great job with their mocs, and I learned a lot from everyone's builds. But I nominate Team Holly/Lion Knights as the victors in this contest of the builders! Though, I do have a question for you, Firebird. How on earth do you get that many Black Falcon minifigures in bulk? I'm trying not to spend toooooo much money, but I really want more Black Falcons in my own kingdom that I am working on. I am also working on setting up a stop motion studio for a little project I may or may not be working on, and those suckers are hard to get my hands on. Do you think torsos would be a good start? I'd love to see another medieval contest by the way! If you do, BrickWarriors sells Stain Glass Window pieces online with the crests of other castle kingdoms if you are ever interested in making an interior moc. I'm thinking about getting one for my Black Falcons. Again, great job!
Fair take! Glad you enjoyed the videos. Check out Lego.com and go to the pick a brick online section. Search for set 10305 and you will find that you can individually purchase black falcon torsos and legs for pretty cheap! Those Brick Warriors glass window pieces are very tempting. I will probably buy some eventually!
I can understand choosing Holly's Moc because of the amount of creativity used with very little to work with, it is what I liked about hers too. Restriction tends to build creativity for sure! And indeed you can build Black Falcon, Lion Knight's (with 2 slightly different torsos) and Forestmen minifigures from the Pick a brick online LEGO shop. They cost slightly under 3 dollars (or 3 euros) for a complete figure, which is going to be more if you start equipping them with swords, shield and such. Still, this is probably cheaper than buying them on Bricklink and if you buy enough of them, over 40 dollars (or euros) I believe, you get free shipping included. There are also some of the viking torsos and a bunch of medieval townsfolk things to choose from, quite a wealth for a medieval builder!

I’ve got 3 green dragon knights with their helmets and a crossbow and swords + shields. It’s my only memory of the set they came in, plus the 2 goats and 3 chickens. Great times
You didn’t get any basil figs in that half box because the three are on the top right row, back three. Meanwhile the goat herders are in the bottom right row, middle three
This is a great work of Lego designing of midevil. I would suggest adding one catapult for each castle. Good luck with Lego midevil building collab challenge, by the way, man 😎
I feel like firebird bricks is the best Lego youtuber. frequent uploads, good concepts, cool builds, good thumbnails, editing. All round incredible RUclipsr.
I am sooooo lucky that I have a bricks and minifigs pretty close to me which is funny because I live on a island in Canada called Newfoundland!😊 it’s just funny that they would put one there!😊
Suggestion for a beast for the back falons, have the specialize in avians, gryphons hypogriff eagles ravons falons, but for a beast there's a mythical beast known as a roc, basically massive as bird of prey maybe you could find something to mimic that, A suggestion for the dragon knights is add 1-2 young dragons that are being trained or bonded with random people Also assassins
I think that if I were to built a LEGO castle army, I'd focus on one of the more unusual and obscure castle subthemes - Ninja (NOT Ninjago). For those unfamiliar, Ninja was a castle subtheme focused on Shogunate-era Japan, and yes, it _was_ a castle subtheme. Either that or I'd do something in the style of the canceled Europa theme.
Amazing, I’ve always loved castle sets but as a gen z they are very hard to find, excluding the Lion Knight’s castle as it was too expensive :( Great video! P.S. glad to see that factor is growing, the only other place I’ve seen them is with GoodTimesWithScar

The Orcs and Trolls were originally part of a villainous horde, led by Mallock the Malign and his army of the dead. However, when the Orcs received a call to arms from the new Troll King, they rejoined with their old allies, and are slowly making plans to conquer the world, again. The Unlikely Alliance must stop this New Horde, before it’s too late.
Siege of the Dragon Mountain - 13:28
The Unlikely Alliance’s teamwork and logistics have already been put to the test. As the New Horde marches to the Crown Kingdom of Ashlar, home of the Crown Knights, they must fight their way through many obstacles. Set up by the Unlikely Alliance. Starting with the Dragon Mountain, a fortress built the Red Dragon Knights to train dragons and imprison Princess Emma of the Blue Lions.
A skeleton army would be a nice addition as theyre my favorite faction
I was going to include skeletons but I ran out of time, unfortunately... I had the parts ready and everything!
@@firebirdbricks mayby next time👍
Lion Knights riding into battle on an actual lion is incredible. Love it. 12/10
Awesome video and love the usage of the lotr figs! 💪🔥
Thanks!! Wish I could have gotten my hands on more Lord of the Rings parts.
Yo those mini figures look cool 1:50
I love this sort of videos!! Subbed
@@firebirdbricks Thanks man! I just finished my order! Really great deal! I'm definately subscribing to the channel now, because I feel like I can learn a lot!
@@pinobluevogel6458 Thanks!
@@MadHawkMoody No problem at all, have fun with the minifigs and medieval stuff, for me it has been a blast so far!
And now give every faction a medieval style mech >:)
(Awesome work btw ❤)
Why all these archers with shields???
I’ve got 3 green dragon knights with their helmets and a crossbow and swords + shields. It’s my only memory of the set they came in, plus the 2 goats and 3 chickens. Great times
the fright knights should have supernatural abilities to compare with the other armies, especially the two vampiric leaders.
You didn’t get any basil figs in that half box because the three are on the top right row, back three. Meanwhile the goat herders are in the bottom right row, middle three
Black Falcon superiority, except for when the green dragon faction shows up, then they are my favorites
Part 2
This is a great work of Lego designing of midevil. I would suggest adding one catapult for each castle. Good luck with Lego midevil building collab challenge, by the way, man 😎
Maybe the real collaboration was the FIREBIRD50 we made along the way
with that chima big fig i really thought you where gona grab some hulk arms and replace his head and make him a big orc
I feel like firebird bricks is the best Lego youtuber. frequent uploads, good concepts, cool builds, good thumbnails, editing. All round incredible RUclipsr.
Wow, thanks! Glad you enjoy my videos. I appreciate the nice comment!
Thank you so much for replying. This never happens
yeah i agree
I am sooooo lucky that I have a bricks and minifigs pretty close to me which is funny because I live on a island in Canada called Newfoundland!😊 it’s just funny that they would put one there!😊
it's always weird seeing the bricks & minifigs I go to irl in these videos lol
It’s a great store!
Yes! more castle content! :)
At 6:00 what is that helmet? I love the way it looks! Ive only seen thsoe on the Rohirrim in the LOTR sets
The green dragon knights are the best faction hands down
Suggestion for a beast for the back falons, have the specialize in avians, gryphons hypogriff eagles ravons falons, but for a beast there's a mythical beast known as a roc, basically massive as bird of prey maybe you could find something to mimic that,
A suggestion for the dragon knights is add 1-2 young dragons that are being trained or bonded with random people
Also assassins
7:41 not Lotr that’s the Dagger of Time from a Prince of Persia set.
So epic 😍🔥 Love seeing so many forestmen in one shot!
Thank you! I enjoyed watching your medieval videos while I was working on my army.
what a great collab! 👏
Thanks! We had a good time with this.
More Classic Space Vids!!! PEASE!!
Bro had quadruple monarchy 😂😂
I’m impressed, you made the red dragon knights look cool instead of childish.
all I can say is Wow! I am a Holly fan but this is seriously impressive
The mispronunciation of Basil every single time is KILLINGGG me
Bazil or bass ill
How do the archers shoot when they have to hold a shield?
DnD dragon paladin minifig has great armor and sheilds
I love this video and i have idea can you do with pirates !
Maybe you soul'd make the Wolf bandits army, they came back in the medival Town Square set
I will definitely be buying those when they come out on PAB online!
nice to see you do a new type of video! love ur stuff man 😄
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Bro is it still snowing there?? 🥶
It was a little yeah. Thankfully I think we are finally past that weather now haha
15:04 Super lego logan adventures rpg games, hopefully is Camelot software planning. Lego main characters of minifigs.
How are the archers gonna use their shields if they need both hands to shoot?
How do you get on pick a brick I can’t get on it
Wow those custom helmets are sick!! Keep using them
Awesome video
Crown knights were probably my favorite
I think you should make the lion the nemean lion from greek mythology. If you Don't know what that is. It's a large lion with an indestructible fur.
I love your dragon faction great job
For your orcs u should have used monks/gekos
from Ninjago but overall it's good 👍
awesome video, love all your factions
I love your creative use of pieces!
Thank you! :)
@@firebirdbricks Thanks for responding dude!
Hey I know this may not be the right video but you should make a mech that has a launch out escape method
Love the video love to see all the sick army’s
Do any of you guys remember the medieval bull knights?
I do l got 2of them and the old crown knight castle
I think that if I were to built a LEGO castle army, I'd focus on one of the more unusual and obscure castle subthemes - Ninja (NOT Ninjago). For those unfamiliar, Ninja was a castle subtheme focused on Shogunate-era Japan, and yes, it _was_ a castle subtheme.
Either that or I'd do something in the style of the canceled Europa theme.
The Costom Lego Ninjago dragon is probably the best dragon ever🐲
custom
I think that gamorean guards would go well with the orc faction
The orks where my favorite
I think u should try and build a mech factory for the mechs that u made
Amazing, I’ve always loved castle sets but as a gen z they are very hard to find, excluding the Lion Knight’s castle as it was too expensive :( Great video! P.S. glad to see that factor is growing, the only other place I’ve seen them is with GoodTimesWithScar
Hopefully we get some cheaper castle sets again at some point!
Yo! You’re ing Grand Rapids. That’s my home town. Pretty sweet!
Mungus make the hurting!!! Happy, happy!
SO good.
A fright knights were a missed opportunity to make a bat dragon
7:54 Dr. Coomer as a Knight?!?
Orcs are my favorite
what sorting trays do u use?
Finally found someone thats a youtuber in Michigan
I want those Crown Knights
I like the Fright Knights and the blue knights
I like the green ones!
This really makes me want to get into the actual moc community 😅
Ways to make it better make all the teams have beast like the lion😅😅🎉🎉🎉😊
Just more of an fyi it be hard to reload the crossbow while carrying a shield.
Fact wher i live the pick a brick online dont have lion knights at all and i know that so i have to use ebay becarse i dont know how to use bricklink
