cheers Thom, seems you had a good time in Berlin 😃 you can get these Lego magazines in Austria and Switzerland too (beware, they are WAY OVERPRICED in Switzerland). I buy them occasionally for my daughter. The Dreamzz magazines are harder to get, but I found one these days and my daughter was super happy to get a metallic Cooper minifigure. I was super happy as well because that saved me having to buy a 80 bucks set with a similar Cooper minifigure 😄 all the best from CH, Meik
Love watching you experience Lego in Europe! I'm a fellow American with my partner living in Vienna, Austria and picking up the LEGO Magazines are one of my favorite things about visiting. The LEGO Magazines are published by Blue Ocean and are exclusive to the UK and Europe but occasionally imported elsewhere, I've seen the same versus tin you picked up here in Chapters bookstore in Canada (but at quite a markup). Blue Ocean is a German company, so the German language releases tend to be the most robust. The trading cards that you see featured on some of the magazines are only printed in German AFAIK. The pricing is usually the best in Germany or Austria, but I've seen the mags in other languages such as Dutch or English but at a slightly higher price point. I tend to scoop up many magazines while I'm in Europe if I can. The poly/paper bags often give access to minifigs that are normally much more expensive because they are in larger, more expensive sets, or in some cases are affordable ways to pick up multiple for army building. Blue Ocean also produces discounted bundle magazines with leftovers from prior issues, usually containing two magazines and two bags for around 5 euro, which is a crazy good deal and often have minfigs or small builds from years ago. It isn't uncommon to pop a discount bag open and get some figs from Ninjago Hunted, Seabound or The Island which have been retired for several years.
Awesome video. I don't know if I'm more jealous of the Legos or the weather. I live in Florida. I'm sick of this damn heat. Have a great rest of your trip.
While the story about JFK is pretty funny, it’s actually a myth. As a German speaking person, I can say that there is nothing wrong with what he said. But it is also true that a Berliner is also a type of food.
Glad to see you enjoying your trip! It’s been ages since I was in Germany. Absolutely loved it there. Love Lidl! Thanks for sharing some of the Lego you’ve come across on your journey.
Yep, those magazines are all over Europe, Spain, UK, Germany, I bet in Denmark does it too of course, it's not super easy to find them sometimes cause people do collect them, my gf opened her store mostly to sell those, cause not all the world gets them.
I am an American living in Sweden and they have those magazines here. I’m pretty sure they are a whole Europe thing. Or at least across Europe if not in every country.
The LEGO Magazines and minifigure polybags are exclusive to Europe, but can be found in Bricklink for cheap. Weird to see retired CMFs in a LEGO store.
It's been a few years since I've traveled but every time I went to UK I made sure to find a Tesco or similar store to buy the magazines. There are web sites where you can have them delivered to the U.S. but where's the fun in that?
Always excited for a new upload from my new favorite Lego RUclips channel. Glad you're having a fun trip!
You’re very kind to say so. Cheers!

It was a great time in Berlin! Yes, I wasn’t able to find a Dreamzzz magazine. Thanks for your support!

Not sure if you've mentioned it but make sure you're getting your lego passport stamps from each certified lego store!
That's a great idea! I haven’t done that yet because I just discovered it!

To be clear, the bags were from a Department store, KaDeWe, right next to the Lego store. Cheers!

Yes, I agree. I’ll save them for when I visit Europe!
I have bought these LEGO magazines in Alberta, Canada 10 dollars
Thanks for the info!
