      @@livinghistoryaienhanced The music was a bad choice. Your audience will assume the title means that there will be the recreation of the diegetic sounds that would be captured if audio of the scene was recorded at the same time as the film was. Tbh I presumed the shit music was just a last-ditch attempt to replace unlicensed audio.

    Usually if I see "AI" in the title, I don't even bother to click. It's especially bad at video and photo restoration. It's just so bad at things it is not familiar with, and this scene is no exception, although it's better than many. The figures are well rendered. The colour restoration is my favourite part of your videos.

    • @livinghistoryaienhanced
      @livinghistoryaienhanced 9 дней назад

      Generally the restoration quality relies a lot on the original source material quality, photo and film. There is a lot of junk out there AI upscaling and colouring. The original material for this film was pretty poor. I also worked on this clip last autumn, the tech has moved on a long way since then. Check out my other channel for more recent work - www.youtube.com/@livingedgeai Keep an eye on that channel for some phenomenal restoration and colourisation. @@matbroomfield It looks like the AI will see it continue and accelerate. For example, film companies are forming now that will rely almost exclusively on AI and they will compete with and better Hollywood. More imaginative storylines, better visuals, deeper character development, unusual cinematography, faster production, new distribution methods etc. we will see a whole knew cinematic language develop. AI music software is incredible with some pro mastering after production, also AI driven, it is indistinguishable from traditionally produced tracks and great work can be achieved and ideas tested at incredible speed. Last Friday, I took a Bowie track, removed the vocals, dropped the backing track in to the AI and gave it the track Lyrics. It sang the vocals in a Bowie like voice, I didn't intend that, and changed the vocal melody and word emphasis to come up with a remix of a totally unique variety. I don't know of any cover version or remix of any song that has changed the vocals in such a way. We are entering a very creative period, perhaps the greatest this world has ever seen and it will be AI driven. We are accelerating. :)

      Great to hear you enjoyed it. That's why I work on these films. :) Maybe you can resolve or likely expand on a mystery? "The Spotted House" looks to be half buried. even to the point of one window, bottom left, being partly covered. Look at the sill, almost none of it is exposed. Even a corner of the window is covered. It's highly unlikely a building would be constructed in to the small hillside in this fashion. There's a strange chimney/funnel like object on the lower floor between the 2 windows, was that still there in your day? The entrance on the street looks like an adaption, providing access to what was previously the first floor. I see the 2 windows there are bricked up, which is odd for a pub. Was there evidence inside of an adjustment to the structure? Maybe there were 2 bars on separate floors. A stairs of a different design. Odd arrangement to rooms etc. It's stranger still when you consider the graveyard next door is on the same level as the first floor of this building. I guess an adaption in a graveyard is easier.

But at the same time it saddens me so much to see what our once great nation has become. How many of the people in this film lost their lives in defence of OUR country eleven years later?
