Is the spout held on by silicone only? No nut on back of spout?
Yes, silicone only. The silicone is very strong.
Thanks for making the video. I also have both the Harbor Freight (HF) and the Freud. The HF was purchased at a yard sale and the Freud was purchased at an auction with a box of various 10" saw blades. BTW: I have a Rockwell wobble dado blade that I use to make rough surfaces. I've been using the HF set for ~10 years for various dado projects. The finish is very acceptable. Nice crisp edges. Tear out is limited with masking tape on the workpiece. The only drawback to the HF blade set is that if I don't apply a thin coat of oil on it, it'll flash rust, meaning that there's extra work cleaning the blades before use and oiling them before storing. Regarding the Freud set: I hadn't tried them as to this date. However, the blades have a black finish that helps prevent rust, which is a plus over the HF set. Looking forward to trying it out. I was dismayed that your results showed that the Freud gave an undesirable result.
Thanks for watching one of my videos! I appreciate the comment!
Beautiful work, Andy! It looks fantastic! 😃 Really brilliant idea they had! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you! I thought it was a great idea as well. Hope you and your family are doing well too!
This is a really cute idea! You did a great job turning her vision into something hopefully lots of people get to benefit from! Glad we got to see the finished product at its home...it's sooo adorable!
Thank you! It was a cool and fun project.
Nice alice in chains pun👍
Need some help. My glass block edge to edge is 7 5/8” long. My miters for the frame always come up short. What is the technique to get a square frame that fits around the block?
Make sure your inner corners of your miter are an 1/8” longer. In your case 7-3/4”. Do this using some scrap wood cut in 1-1/2 wide strips. Once you get the fit you want keep one piece and use it to set up your saw every time. This is what I did.
This is awesome I’m a veteran and want to get into crafting can you send the measurements you are using I’ve watched your video probably 20 times
I have a lot of video covering this. I link everything in the description. You can message me on Facebook too. Epeius Custom Woodworking
Omg! You did so good!!! It looks sooooo GOOD! This video deserves more likes!!!🤩
Thank you!
Very pretty good job 👍 😁
She's amazing wonderful job! Sweet to see the whole thing being done! My favorite one so far! 🖤❤️🖤❤️
Thank you!
Jigsaw metal cutting blades instead of the cutting wheel
They don’t fit between the wood pieces
Nice job, are the handles supposed to be offset like that. Looks neat.
Thank you! Not sure I know what you mean. Maybe an optical illusion as they are both placed the same distance and height
Can you let us know roughly what you charge for one of these?
I charge right around $600.00 for what I call a fully loaded barrel. That includes lights and epoxy top
I don't use my riving knife at all, but I do alot of things on my table saw that most people don't. I do however absolutely make sure that my blade and fence are dead on parallel when I do make rip cuts. Most people just take for granted that the fence is square to the blade when they lock it down, I check with my machinists ruler and get it dead nuts. Another good practice is to only use as much blade as needed. I see people have that blade up 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch above whatever they are cutting. It blows my mind, I have mine about a 32nd, maybe a 16th above the material. I could go on about other safety things about a table saw, but it could go on for days lol
Those are all good! Just keeping fingers and hands away is good
How thick is your bench top?
About an 1”-1/2”
👌
🤔👌
What kind of spigot do you use? Where can I get the spigots? Thanks.
I link everything in the description. It’s a stainless steel food grade spigot
Interested to see how yours held up. I just came across your video now after doing the same application to my boots. I applied the product number 8281 (steel reinforced epoxy). I had it laying around after using it to fix my air compressor so i figured instead of spending $40 for some tuff toe i would give it the old college try lol. A quick update video would be very cool. Thanks!
Oh yeah, I’ll be giving it soon. I’ve been using them a lot.
Love the new rendition! Semper
Thanks brother! Semper Fi!
I’ve been watching you since Stumpy nubs called out one of your videos. I look forward to your videos because you are just a guy in a garage making beautiful things, and not in a giant shop with every tool available. Great inspiration!
Well thank you! I’m glad he brought you over! More importantly I’m glad you like what I make and stuck around.
Fantastic work, Andy! Amazing design!!! 😃 About the coins, I used to watch NCIS, so... I've seen them before. 😁 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you my friend! Same to you and your family.
What a great idea! I think both the flame-kissed and natural versions look awesome.
Thank you!
Great video! Love the new design and back story on the coins! Excited to see what you post next! Also want to thank you for your service!🇺🇸
Thank you! 😁
Dado blades really aren't as expensive as they first seem when you consider the manufacturing and engineering costs
Am retired and enjoy crafting. I have some scrap wood but NO fancy tools. Jigsaw will have to work. I plan on making 5 of them. I suck at measurements ..... Why aren't any measurements to a regular length???
It’s the way the math works out. There’s some good tapes out there that have all the measurements on them. I link one in the description. I call it the best tape ever. You can message me on my Facebook page if you need any help
Beautiful, Andy! Excellent work! 😊 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you, full video soon
I've watched your videos numerous times and followed your instructions to make a whiskey decanter. I've gone through 2 glass blocks because after so much time passes [days/weeks] they develop a crack on each side of the spigot. HOW DO I PREVENT THAT FROM HAPPENING?
Not sure how. I never have

I’m not sure, I’ve never had that happen. If you use the diamond bits I link there should be no issue. I’ve made over 200 no with zero issues.
Hit me up on Facebook messenger if you want more help.
Good video thanks! Solid descriptions, explanations, and editing.
Thank you! This was one of my earlier videos. I’d love your take on my newer videos if your up to watching some
Your test is invalid being that you are not using the same wood, plywood vs 1x.
I used zero plywood. It was all from the same piece of pine solid lumber.
Is the Admiral one as good as the Bauer one or is that one better?
They are both good in my opinion. It just depends on how much use you’re giving it. If not a lot the admiral is fine. If you’re going to be needing to resharpen the Freud is good for that.
I always have a supply of good sized box parts!
Good to have on hand!
Awesome work, Andy! Nicely done! 😃 I used to have horses in the past... But I never had something like that! Really interesting indeed!!! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you!
We are so happy with the final product Andy! I can’t believe I sent you a picture and you made it happen! My daughter’s saddle is now proudly displayed! 🤩 Thank you for making this for us!
Thank you! It really was my pleasure. I had a blast making the rack and video!
Wow awesome intro! Thanks for the tip on how to use the spacers to drill the holes. Love the burnt look...it turned out beautiful!
Thank you😁
Great job Andy! It turned out really nice and it’s awesome to receive commission order and the final product is a happy customer. You’ve really grown as a maker and content creator.
Thank you so much! I always appreciate your comments!
I kinda doubt he is gonna shout out my big man and a saw Only Fans
I have no clue what you mean by this lol
Chesty didn't use Dado stacks....he just chewed the wood up and spit toothpicks
Haha yes he did! I had to go back and look at the video to see if I was wearing my chesty shirt. Your comment just got pinned to the top!
Thank you for this video, very informative and helpful! Do you have a recommendation of the vertical or horizontal cut first?
Thank you for watching! I usually do the horizontal first. Not sure it matter’s but that’s what do.
@@epeiusgarage Okay perfect. Thank you again. This will help me a lot.
Great video's, how do you clean the silicone from the glass blocks. Cheers
Thank you! I hope you caught part one and two. I don’t clean it off. I leave that nice bead around the flange. Thanks for watching!
Double the cost for worse results and a way worse storage case! Seems like a no brainer!! Awesome video man! Thank you!
Thank you.
Great tip!
This is so bad ass!!! Love the edges on the board!
Thank you!
Just finally got my first table saw. Will be looking to make some of the jigs/Sleds you have. Keep up the great work!!
That’s awesome. Make sure you watch those safety videos
Brilliant Andy! I love the artwork and the frame came out great!
Thank you!
I am never gonna own a table saw but im gonna watch like i am
And why not?
Great video. Looking forward to seeing your instructional spline making video. I always struggle with making splines
Thank you! That makes the two of us lol, I’m still figuring it out. I’ve been using my planner but not everyone has a planner. So I’ll show another way.
