Andy! This is a great video. I love that you have a video from the perspective of a garage shop. I love you show the mistakes so we can learn as well. Found you from stumpy Nubs and have been a fan since.
Well done Andy, it came out great! I’m currently building a roubo workbench and getting ready to glue up the top. I will do mine in sections that fit the planer and then glue the individual sections together. This should help with not only reduced a stressful glue up, but provide a flatter finished top. Well, that’s the plan. Thank you as always for your videos.
Dropping a comment and a thumbs up just for taking that pry bar to the face. Haven't taken one to the face myself, but have had one skid into my arm and that's no fun. Stay safe man!
Thank you, Andy, for a great video. And please protect your lungs, eyes and ears! We are looking forward to seeing many more videos from you in the future.
Really nice the way it turned out - almost looks like a store-bought butcher block (I cheated and that's the route I went, admittedly for a lot more than $40). For a month I tried to be careful with it to prevent scratches and such but finally accepted that it's a workbench and was going to get chewed up. Oh, and I love pocket holes. Can't wait to see you do bench dog holes - that's on my list too so feel free to go first :)
Haha nothing wrong with cheating. I’m in the same boat as far as not wanting to scratch it🤣. But then I tell myself the same thing, it’s a work bench. We need to do lunch soon and catch up. Thanks for watching Jim!
Great video- I'm planning on doing Steve's BMW, and think I will do what you did for the top. What -would- you do differently on the big glue up though? And without a planer is this still doable?
@@daneyuleb thank you! I would just make sure I’m ready. Totally doable without planner. Just really need to make sure they are flush and you might want to section it out for the glue up. I’d at least have a belt sander
Hello and thanks for the video. I am going to try this out. Workbench top I mean, not the prybar to the face! Can you tell me how high the bottom shelf is from the bottom of the legs? I assume three or four inches would be fine? I am thinking I will install drawers in the bench. Thanks again.
Yeah my pleasure! Steve has plans on his channel woodworking for mere mortals. I added drawers to mine. I did a video on that as well. Thanks for watching! Andy

That’s a good idea. I think I’d do that too if I did it again. Hopefully this lasts me along time.
Really excellent work, Andy! It's looking great! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you sir! Hope you and yours are well.
