I love the packaging on my Freud dado set, and find the instructions perfectly handy (I stashed it under the blades, since they have to come out every time)- which just goes to show how powerful personal preferences are. I also hang mine right by my table saw, so that it's in easy reach, but out of the way. I can also recommend Freud and their Diablo blades- I have a sharpening service, and they make *by far* the best and most consistent carbide teeth (you can't see it, but you sure can tell when grinding on them with a diamond blade).
Thanks for watching! They are quality blades no doubt! I think I’m going to design a a box that hangs like the Freuds package. Just in a box that I don’t have to turn back and forth lol.
I appreciate for the thoughtful honest review. One note on the Freud instructions - instead of storing them on the outside of the blades, place them under the blades when not in use. They’ll be well protected and harder to misplace. Thanks.
I have that same Freud set. Mine tears out too. I don't think it's sharpened right. The teeth just feel dull. I'm thinking about having it sharpened and see if that helps.
@@epeiusgarage ah ok. After 30 years the Warden has allowed me to turn the 2 car garage into a shop but it still fits her car. Built a good bit of cabinets and so far way more functional. I would send pics If I could figure it out. 😁
@@weiyanyin3801 dado as far as I know are alway 8”. The Freud are heavier but I have a T1 and they both work great. If you’re not going to be using them a lot the HF are fine.
Just a thought, in addition to letting you know I'd like to see the Dado set box build! But my thought is, why don't you just swap the blades. Put the Diablo Dado set in the harbor freight box. And hot glue the Diablo Dado front and back cover in the face and back of the box! Btw I'm only like 2 or 3 min into the video. So I may be deleting this comment. Lol. Thanks for another great one brother!
@@epeiusgarage yeah that's true. I think an awesome box build, for that dado set would be, kick ass man! Can't wait to see what you have in the next few videos. Take care
You are spot on regarding the tiny print on the charts & instructions. I’m keen to see you build and container for the Freud dado stack.
Yeah I’m going to start designing it

Great tip!
Thanks a bunch for the review and all the info, Andy! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
My pleasure! Thanks for watching and leaving me a comment. Take care my friend!

I bought this set and it came in a plastic case like the harbor freight set
Freud SD508: 8" Super Dado Sets
Devils Dog you need to build you some cabinets on that wall behind you.
Haha I’d love to but then I would not be able to pull my attic stairs down lol.

Does they weight differently? I have a T2 and I am not sure if I need to try 8 inch with some risk to burn motor :)

hello how are you friend query Where can I get 1/16" spacers for the blade socket set, thank you
@@byronpoma4236 I am not sure, I bet Amazon has them
Your Harbor Freight dado blades have 24 teeth which I feel will give you a better cut. No tearout.
That’s what I thought too.

Haha, that would make sense, but it would be no fun🤣. Thanks for watching.

I like your thinking.
Dado blades really aren't as expensive as they first seem when you consider the manufacturing and engineering costs
