- I have used Dado blades, I have compared dado blades on my channel but I have never gone into detail. I had a few requests to give more info. So this is my Dado blade video.

I have several types and brands of dado sets. My first set from many moons ago is the Craftsman Brand Wobble Blade.
I used it on a radial arm saw and had good results with it but it is more trouble to setup than the stack sets.
Now It isn’t used anymore since I got the stack sets. I have a vintage Craftsman set that is maybe 8” in diameter with the patented “chrome finish” and it does fairly well. I do have a 10” Freud set and it is the best of all.

Dado stacks are not illegal in the UK, they just have to be used on the correct saw and with the relevant crown guard. Illegality is just a myth.

fortunately, the US government has not tried to, control saw blades...so far. best not to discuss it too much, some weasel may get a bug up their...........

No kidding we have sawstop and TTS and it’s lobbying for a decade the consumer product safety commission to mandate blade stopping technology while litigating competitors devolopment of a competing tech. Next they will want to go after blades
