- Natural oils can spontaneously combust. This is my recent experience with boiled linseed oil. If I had not already known what could of happen when using these oils then my shop would be gone today. Hope this helps someone.

Great safety tip man!! People need to gears this. Only you can prevent forest fires 🔥
Thank you! I thought more people might need to know
@@epeiusgarage oh yes I agree with you
I wiped a little BLO off with a paper towel ... I'm going to fish that out of my kitchen garbage can RIGHT NOW!
Excellent tips, Andy! Thanks a bunch! 😃
Another one like that is, if you do rc stuff, DO NOT charge lipo batteries inside. I know at least 2 people who lost everything in a fire started by a lipo being charged inside.
You just can't put it off... Because the batteries generate oxygen as well, as they burn. (And it's spectacular to see... From far away!)
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you Sir! That's interesting. I did not know that. Thank you for watching!
Jason at Bourbon Moth just did a really cool video on this, and the results were eye opening.
Oh cool! I’ll have to check that out. Thanks
Coincidentally, a house in Bella Ranch burned to the ground last week, rumored to have started in the garage... It probably wasn't this but you've shown the dangers. If you spill again similar to this incident, what would you do differently to clean it up? Use just rags and hang them all? Kitty litter and then let it air out somehow before disposing of it? Something else?
Oh wow, I didn’t know that. I would do the same. I knew what was probably going to happen so that’s why I put the box with sawdust in me fire pit. Kitty litter might work well too as I doubt it will burn. I just did not have any at the time. I had lots of sawdust though lol.
Great information. By the way, is that a Delta 36-725T2?
Thank you! I have the T1 actually. But it’s a Delta.
@@epeiusgarage I have the T2.
@@ironwood1621 nice! I’m in the delta Facebook group it’s pretty good if your not already in it
I'm confused, why wont it combusted in the container? So once its out of the container and onto a rag it will possibly catch fire?
Yes, it has to do with the curing process. When the oil is curing it creates heat. If condensed enough it will generate enough heat to combust. I’m looking into the science of it I just want to make sure people know about it.
@@epeiusgarage thank you for the reply
@@richya5467 of course! No since in making these videos if I don’t reply to questions!
