Really excellent jig, Andy! 😃
Thanks a bunch for all the tips!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you sir! You stay safe out there as well.
Well done Andy! Your expectation was fine. I truly appreciate how you explain your thought process in your videos and demonstrate the pros and cons of the end result. Please keep producing videos, I’m confident your channel is going grow big time.
Thank you very much! Comments like yours keep me going and let me know the videos are hopefully helpful and even entertaining.
I started my hobby 32 years ago. Lost my shop in a move after 3 years and didn't get it back until we built our retirement home 22 years later. Be patient you'll get there.
Good video, down and dirty. Semper Fi !
Ooh rah, Marine, Semper Fi Creates here. I dig your content!
Semper Fi! Thank you Devil Dog!! Appreciate you watching
Good ideas! I will need to build one of these. The one thing I am wondering though is wouldn't it be prudent to have either an outfeed table or supports? Like rollers? Especially when you are running long boards as such. Thx for the good idea, never thought about this kind of sled.
Thank you, yes I used rollers for the out feed.
cut in half for smaller projects and spline it back together for the big ones!!!!
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing
@@epeiusgarageor use hand tools if you want to remove highlights but for long boards and production I have a 7’ planer sled that while heavy is profoundly fast and efficient
I'll bet your ceiling is 8'? I was going to say the space behind or beside your fridge looked promising until I thought of the ceiling height
Yeah it’s too long. I’ll cut it down some. It worked good though.
all my lumber is wavy because I milled it. I need to bootstrap myself a flat sled surface somehow
If you mill it correctly you should end up with a square board.
@@epeiusgarage easier said than done. milling logs into lumber is hard. I barely managed to get what I have. Besides, roughcut is always wavy. Even if it isn't, it will warp once it dries
@@eitantal726 this is true. But it can be done. A jointer is best but I don’t have room and this sled works great for me. Dm me on my Facebook page if you have questions. Need be we can chat on the phone. Good luck
@@epeiusgarage I do have a lengthy track saw that makes excellent straight cuts. I could use that as a flat face: Make a bunch of them, and glue them together with the flat side facing up
@@epeiusgarage Anyway, thanks for reaching out. I'll reach out if I have further problems
