I always forget construction and hardware materials are 1.5 points back on the business Platinum, which is the primary reason why I'd consider using it. Scored the 200k SUB for the business gold. Eyeing that 250k for business plat next month.

its better han the personal but their both garbage cards for either noobs/suckers and wannabees that think it makes look wealthy. good for milking subs and thats about it.

Got the 250k bonus offer. If I have a business gold already can I downgrade the plat into a business gold? (Most of my spend at my business is gas stations and I go past the 120k cap per year)

The wireless credits are underrated if you can pay off your phone or bought your phone outright, you can use a low cost carrier like Mint Mobile at $15/month and use the built in Cell Phone Insurance instead of AppleCare or similar. Was able to cancel my AppleCare and get the $10 monthly credit for a $15 Mint Mobile plan and all in for $5 a month I've got an insured phone with unlimited data.

🧮 Got this card late last year for the 250K SUB. Literally found out about the Hilton credit while staying at a Hilton lol. Still prefer the personal version for the Uber and FHR/HC credit.

One question, what is the AMEX Business Platinum authorized User Fees?

🧮 sounds like a lot of work to break even with mediocre perks. Feels best fit for someone with a business, lots of spend, and little free time take advantage of transfer partners. Hard to see this being better than a personal Platinum and a straight cash back business card.

Is there lifetime bonus restrictions like on the personal cards where you have to get the green and gold cards first? I value the dell credits, clear credits, airline credit, and possibly the wireless credit if it beats out BILT in terms of cell phone insurance. I'd like to keep this card for the lounges and credits when I eventually potentially downgrade the CSR but would not really put much spend since I'd use it for side hustles like reselling, consulting and food delivery.

the 250k point welcome offer is tempting but have to spend $20k in 3 months to get the welcome offer. definitely seems Amex has tried to dissuade small sole prop or card enthusiasts from the card as it used to be a lower spend requirement (although they sure mail me about it a lot! LOL). Also just not a good longer term earner as far as daily use categories for me

What are your thoughts on how long the 35 % points rebate feature will remain ?

The Hilton credit is the best credit. Finally a useful credit that is easy to use. Even though the restaurants are over priced.

I have two offers for the biz plat in my Amex offers. One for 175k points for $20k spend in 3 months. The other is 120,000 points for $10k in spend in 3 months. The credits are just so horrible I can't do it though. I ditched the personal platinum and gold because of the horrible credits.

I keep getting 200K offers but I can't find anything to spend 20K in 3 months not even for my business. Ack! 🧮

🧮I think the 35% is going to phase out like the Business Gold's 25%. Overall, my interests have gone elsewhere, BBP is a definite keeper and workhorse though.

Is it worth it to apply for Amex business reserve if you already have the Amex reserve personal?

Sebby, do you realize that the majority of American English speakers would think your're pronouncing the words "bag/bags" and "with" weirdly? It might possibly help you if you made an adjustment. It is going to be an unnecessary nuisance or distraction to folks each time you do it.

If I book a hotel stay via an airline website, will this trigger the airline credit? I recently booked a hotel stay with Amex Gold on BA website, it was coded as airline fee and gave me 3x back. I wonder if that will work on the Aspire card.

Delta Reserve + Plat are both S tier for Delta loyalists b/c the coupons and perks punch way above their weight class. BBP also S tier for no AF 50k catch-all. Bonvoy Biz - 35k cert just doesn't get much these days - if it was 35k points every year - 1000% S-tier.

I'm not going to do any air travel until 2027. Should I start using these travel credit cards now to build points? Currently, I don't have any travel credit cards. I live in Hawaii, so eventually I will be flying Alaska airlines.

I got the BBC and BBP. the BBC is for 1 of my employees I have one as well. same with the BBP. honestly love the way AMEX puts the cash back right into the statement as a credit. I try to keep the business on more of a cash back then points. I'm trying to hit a goal for MR points so as soon as I hit that my business will go back to the BBC. being that the capital one business cards are pretty much useless, next will be chase. so I'll be running a amex/chase set up. waiting for one off my vendors to take card payments then the business gold 100% is on my map. but that will rock the personal setup boat a bit. just wish the business gold would have a clear or maybe a limited amount of lounge accesses instead of Walmart+

Is it new for 2025 that we earn EQMs on award travel? (I see on their website currently that award travel doesn't earn EQMs today)

The Plum card is pretty nice, I wish it came with a slightly lower fee, but it's nothing crazy And it being Amex, any BS from the seller will be handled well by Amex

The one thing I hate about the Amex Amazon card is the redemption method only being statement credit on specific purchases. Makes it look like you’re returning items instead of a rebate reward for bookkeeping

YO the Blue Business is A+ Tier! FREE and gets you 2x on everything up to $50k? It is a no-brainer for any business.

IMO, Amex has no S tier business card 🌩. Amex Business Green is the only D tier. My exposure to Amex has declined, but I like the BBP, Delta Biz Gold, and Hilton Surpass (making it a pseudo business card).

⚡ I could not help but notice that you did not mention the 35% rebate with the Amex Business Platinum when paying for flights with points with the airline you selected for incidental charges. Uncle Luke at Luke Points and Miles suspects this benefit will go away. I use this benefit extensively as it saves a lot of precious MR points. If the 35% rebate is revoked by Amex, I'd likely shift that spend to the Chase ecosystem. So the Amex Plat Business is my favorite card. 2025 will be an interesting year ⚡
