    🥝 1 vote for the Business Centurion Card review

    I am a fan of the Business Platinum. I tend to put my >$5k purchases on the Business card. My favorite benefit is the 35% back on points since I use my Amexes for airline purchases. 🥝

    🥝 1) I think the AMEX Business Platinum is a good travel card for businesses (owners). 2) I think the Flight credit, Lounge access, FHR, Wireless credit, and earning multipliers are all good. The thing is if I went to get the AMEX Business Platinum, I would cancel my personal one. Too much overlap. Plus I disagree with the Dell and Wireless credits. I can't see spending $200 every 6 months on something from Dell just because. I would see getting a business cell phone service and have the Business Platinum pay for that. I am iffy on getting Adobe Pro service (my business startup idea does really need to creative studio), because I may use different service providers tailored to my targeted industry. That is where the 1.5x category would come into play. Personally Centurion lounges alone can pay for other half of the card when I travel. Each visit in my book racks up $30-40 of spend that i wouldn't have to make at an airport. Airports are expensive (before inflation).

    Best benefit is the national rental Executive Elite status. Paying for a compact or economy vehicle, then leaving with a high end SUV or Sedan of your choice without the hassle of even having to ask or request an upgrade is great.

    last week i was traveling from dfw to vegas, roundtrip. the C1 lounge and Centurion lounge in dfw had 20 minute wait times. coming back from vegas, the centurion lounge had a 10 minute wait. the CSR lounge in boston is pretty nice.

    I downgraded to the Business Gold for 4X on shipping, one week before it's changes were announced. I'm at a place where I either want the Schwab or Business Platinum, and 1 BBP. Simplify the charge card credits, onto Hilton credits that easy to use (Surpass replacing the Personal Gold).

    I’m hoping for better credits to replace the ones that will expire at the end of this year. Thank you for the information. Keep up the good work. 👍🏿✌️

    I recently found out your not supposed to eat a 🥝 like an apple.
    I love the Dell and cell phone credits (w/ decent cell phone protection), the Business Platinum is my favorite card from any issuer.

    For me, dell, wireless service, airline credits pretty much justifies the card. Plus I see the clear credit as an add on, and with some adobe promotions I get some value with that too. So it's a pretty straightforward card, a bit better than personal platinum, given you can get the 35% rebate which is great

    I have the BP and I've taken advantage of the Airlines, Dell and Cellphone credit the second half of last year when I got it.

    The Dell credit will work best if Amex switched to either Apple or Best Buy . The credit will be more attractive to prospective card users if you can get Apple credit or Best Buy credit

    Biggest benefit are the 5x on travel and 1.5 x multiplier. Also Dell and Clear (even though other cards might have it). Lounge access is great but usually traveling business class (like you Sebby), so lounge access is great, but only use it 2-3 x per year. 🥝

    I have just got this card for my business in the US but I will be in Mexico 80% of the time and traveling around the world the rest of the time. I will almost never be in the USA. Most of my expenses will not be in the USA. Do you think it is still worth it? 🥝

  • @Geekboarder

    Surprised the Venture X business isn't mentioned, perhaps I missed it. Why settle for 1.5x when you can get a flat 2x on everything, with super easy to break even annual fee? For high spender, at least for us, the multiplier is key, plus you skip all the Amex credit BS, get free authorized user cards, etc.

    So if you used a personal platinum exclusively for business use (like you have a real llc and accountant) can’t you still write off the annual fee? I have a real business (I’m a dentist) and want to switch from the business to vanilla platinum cause I like the coupon book better.

    • @_iErik
      @_iErik 6 месяцев назад +1

      If you’re the sole-owner of the business, and you exclusively use the personal card for business purchases, and you have some documentation to show the business reimbursing you for the annual fee, you should be able to deduct the fee… with that said, it’s less straightforward, and there are some accountants who are going to be leery of doing that. It would probably also help if you could show that you opened the card after the business started (you opened it for business purposes) rather than trying to write-off the fee of something you already were paying for.
      But I am not your accountant.

    can the 35% points back stack with any delta card takeoff15 benefit, to get 50% points back?? I can't find info on that anywhere.

    • @AskSebbyBusiness
      @AskSebbyBusiness  Месяц назад

      Nope. 35% points back is redeeming MR via the Amex Portal. TakeOff15 is within the Delta flow.
      Wish you could stack though! :)

    hey sorry if I posted this in another video but i was wondering for the business gold and the business platinum, do I need to apply for the biz gold first and then the biz platinum to get both SUB? I know for personal that's the way but I was just curious for the business side.

    I don't understand why they charge 75k for guests. For that price you could have your family get their own cards for 695 or even the AU for 195. For that price you could have 100- 300 guests. I guess its a perk if you were going to spend that much for a big business.
