I use the Business Platinum card for business flights which is rare. I get tons of deductions in industry I have a business in so the annual fee doesn’t bother me. Good information you are providing. Keep up the good work and have a great week. 👍🏿✌️
✈️ I am quite the stickler about separating my business and personal expenses, so I really need a card with insurance/purchase protection which for me boils down to the biz platinum or delta reserve. But this delta platinum sounds great!!
I’ve seen data points on Reddit that suggest that you can receive credits for buying Lyft cash even though it’s against the terms. So a 30th of the month option to roll over the credit in a pinch!
Mine just renewed last month at the previous rate of $250. Planning to cancel next year before the next renewal though. The 'companion certificate' always has the dates I want to use blocked out, so that isn't a benefit and I don't fly Delta enough anymore to justify the $350yr fee.
Not sure if it’s me but the routes I fly absolutely NEVER have the correct fare class for the companion pass no matter how many dates I search and I’ve been trying over the last 2 years. It’s criminal this limitation isn’t more in reviews
✈️ As I usually book through Delta Stays anyhow, the changes were a win for me from the start (though I have Delta Platinum on personal side & Reserve for Biz). May occasionally utilize Resy, but as I live in the boonies and don't use rideshare very often, these 2 credits aren't worth much to me. As always, this card comes down to the companion certificate & whether I can use a 2nd one. If not, I'll keep the Reserve & downgrade or cancel the Platinum. Though the Delta Stays credit makes it easier for me to keep.
Nope doesnt work for Uber Eats. And you need to use the Amex card for flight benefits. I mean how will they know who purchased other than Delta. The point is to make you use the card, and they make a tiny percent profit of the card.
I'm in Amex pop up jail for a while now and can't get out. I'm considering applying without the SUB. I can use ride share credit, and maybe delta travel credit. But I'm mainly interested in companion certificate and priority boarding. Should I get it without SUB?
The card has to be a business card, not a personal card. You then deduct it to mitigate your income and tax liability. You can't "write off" (which is a deduction) any personal card AFs. Also, you can deduct interest paid on business credit cards (if you carry balances on your business credit cards). You can actually deduct any interest on any loan, other than federal and state taxes (as far as I know, but I'd have to ask my accountant).
✈️ Sebby, I think this card will become part of my new strategy (yours actually) of Delta platinum / reserve personal and delta business platinum / business reserve. Going for Gold elite, goal of Platinum elite, with many credits we can utilize as we do not live in a Delta hub and have more Resy restaurants than SLC.
I received an offer to upgrade my Business Delta Gold to Platinum for 25000 miles and a $250 statement credit for $5000 in six months. I took it. I know I can use the Hotel credit and some of the Resy, and of course the companion pass. What do you think?
Even as a Delta loyalist, I don’t see much value in any of their branded cards. I’ve already got the Amex business platinum. Already have gold status with Delta. The only benefit I can see is the companion pass, but I tend to travel abroad more than domestic, so… not much value there. I’m gonna call this a pass. 100 years ago, the Delta card helped me get status. Now… not so much.
@@LK_EBM you can transfer to jet blue and book a rewards flight through them. Or you can use the CSR and get a 1.5 CPP valuation. 6 hour flight with lay flat seats to Hawaii for 95000 points round trip.
✈️ I have the personal Delta Platinum. Do you recommend getting this business Platinum Delta to get Silver Status with Delta? Or is Silver Status not worth it?
Really hoping it doesn't, but fully expecting the Resy credits to come to the Personal AMEX Gold at the next AF increase. I live in the RTP area, and after looking at the available restaurants, I can't help but feel it will be useless.
✈️ no worth it for me for couple reasons: 1 have amex platinum 2 I live on a small town no resy 3 I don’t do rideshare 4 too many restrictions on the certificate

✈ I recently obtained the Delta Platinum card, and now I finally understand the usefulness of the Resy credits because of your explanation. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
I've changed my mind about the Delta Platinum, now going to cancel the gold instead.
Love this overview. I was confused about Resy, but this helps clear it up. Might value it at 100% now. Card is now overpowered for me ✈✈✈

Looking forward to a keeper card business S tier list 😊
Coming soon!
you had one for chase business cards but i cant find video anymore 😢
Does it also work with Uber eats?
Do you have to use the card for any flight benefits or can you have the card and use a different card ???
Nope doesnt work for Uber Eats.

Hi sebby, long time fan. Can you please dive into some tax optimizations for small business. how you can write off credit card annual fees.

Salt Lake City is limited but the ones they have are all the top new restaurants so the selection is decent 👍 (I live here)
And some of them are bars as well 😏
I don’t give any value to a Resy credit. I think I may go for the personal Gold.

They’re offering me 20,000 bonus miles and a $200 statement credit. Why is mine lower!
Dont have any business cards, only personal. But I would love to add another amex to my arsenal
✈ thank you, boss!

Great info. But, the companion certificate is a ONE TIME use?
Thanks. 🤙🏼
Yes, it's a certificate and not a pass.
2:06 I’m in Philly🤷🏽♂️
The delta platinum is on my list of cards for the future. I'm focusing on chase points right now for a first class trip on hawaiian airlines.✈️
How are you going to book Hawaiian Airlines with Chase? I don't see it as a transfer partner.
@@LK_EBM you can transfer to jet blue and book a rewards flight through them. Or you can use the CSR and get a 1.5 CPP valuation. 6 hour flight with lay flat seats to Hawaii for 95000 points round trip.
You can book through chase portal at 1.5 CPP with the CSR. You can also book hawaiian through jetblue for 50k points one way.
@@LK_EBM Award booking through Virgin Atlantic or JetBlue, assuming Hawaiian Airlines has F class opened on partner award redemptions.
You cant use any lounges I am going to cancel it.
✈️ I have the personal Delta Platinum. Do you recommend getting this business Platinum Delta to get Silver Status with Delta? Or is Silver Status not worth it?
Depends on which airport you're based out of and chances of upgrades.
@@AskSebbyBusiness I’m in between LAX and SNA
How does the statement cards work having two cards? Resy, Delta Stays, and Rideshares? Can you stack the credits? Or have to use them individually?
Deep dive x4 ✈️
Can I use my Chase Business Ink card to pay for my rent to hit the SUB?
Really hoping it doesn't, but fully expecting the Resy credits to come to the Personal AMEX Gold at the next AF increase. I live in the RTP area, and after looking at the available restaurants, I can't help but feel it will be useless.

Understandable, it's not for everyone.
Can you use the rideshare credit for Uber Eats ?
American Express travel portal has a lot of price inflation and there is a fee to transfer points to delta which is horrible
✈✈✈
I think imma stay with my platinum. I mean I’ve never went into the skymiles club anyway so I mean.
🛫

:)
✈️ Looks like a skip, for now.
Its a skip for now I had my delta gold card since 2013 and waiting to upgrade ✈✈
