Twaun, I've been following you on your weight loss journey since the beginning. I'm so proud of you. I'm also on this journey with you. I'm taking Ozempic, and my starting weight was 372. Darnit, I just saw this! My sister and my niece are both on private pay Mounjaro in the uk. They pay approximately £180 ish a month, it was licensed for use for weight loss (non diabetic use) in November of last year here - it’s the same as Zepbound. I’m about to start Wegovy, i’ve been warned that the weight loss could slow right down at some point in the journey but it’s still usually doing something. I wouldn’t touch the other drugs they say to try, xenical is evil. In your shoes i’d stick with Wegovy free of charge, continue to help it with your exercise routine and maybe consider switching way down the line when zepbound / mounjaro becomes more available / licensed / cheaper. I’d put aside your saved car payments with the view to using it on say zepbound in the future uf need be.

Hi Twaun! I saw your interview on Angie's channel and I enjoyed it. Also, you have me wanting to buy a Peloton Bike now. I always thought I was too big for a Peloton. They need to sponsor you! LOL. Personally, I would ditched the medications and just keep doing what you are doing. There is another lady I follow here on YT who was well over 400 lbs and she has lost 200lbs all on her own,. I think her channel is Getting Back To Pat. The medications are a great tool but it seems like you really don't need them. Just my opinion.

Also, my PCP advised me to take Benefiber or any OTC fiber (2 scoops twice a day) to help with constipation. You can run it by your PCP if you’d like and see what they suggest for you 🥰♥️

I use magnesium to sleep, it’s amazing. 400mg does the trick and it’s super beneficial 🥰

You’re doing amazing!! I can’t even ride my regular bike because it hurts my bottom so bad 🥴.

My advice: definitely check out zepbound, but maybe not right now with the shortage. It is near impossible to find any dose other than the lowest one. So even if it is paid for by insurance, if you can’t find your dose, that would be a nightmare. My friend is on zepbound and she has been on the lowest dose for 4 months because there is nothing higher than that in any local or non local pharmacy that she can find. She has no plans on moving up because it doesn’t exist, and she is no longer losing at all. So I would say, try to get zepbound approved through your insurance (honestly it could take months) and in the meanwhile keep taking wegovy. You could try saxenda for a couple of months but it’s a daily shot, it that’s annoying, it’s an earlier drug than wegovy but it works similarly. Maybe once you get approved for zepbound in a couple of months, zepbound will be no longer in shortage. To find dose shortages, check out to glp tracker: ro.co/weight-loss/supply-tracker/

Twuan, Mounjaro is the same medicine as Zepbound. Did you say that your insurance will pay for Mounjaro? I know you said your doc would not prescribe it, but there are docs that will prescribe it off-label since you’re not diabetic. I was on Wegovy but switched a few months ago.
