How far would you go to find surf? We went 70 degrees above the Arctic circle to unexplored surf areas. It was a great experience surfing uncrowded spots. The only thing was surfing in freezing conditions and having very few hours of daylight in the days. Paddle Stronger To Catch More Waves | Don't Miss Waves On Your Next Surf Trip
Such a cool little film bru! Hope you're doing well. So cool to check your Arctic adventures.
I went from the chicken wing to jumping straight from both knees which is good but I don't nail it all the time, I'm looking forward to trying this one, it's seems to be a middle ground between the 2, slower than the straight jump up but better technec than the chicken wing, need something like this as I'm only learning, this seems to be way more stable than the chicken wing, cheers dude 😎
Yes you’re right. This is the technique you should use! It’s almost the exact same as the chicken wing, the only difference is you lift up your ass to make space to put your back foot down in a better position without the knee dragging through the water. Good luck and let me know how it goes 🙌
Super helfpful !Tks mate!
Glad it helped!
Cómo es la transición de peso cuando estás abajo para subir rápido en la pared
You need to have weight on the inside rail. Parts of the transition you’ll have 50/50 weight distribution but a part of it you’ll need 50-70% on the back foot to pivot and drive up the wave 🙌
What our they surfing on?
The 2 surfers are on beginner surfboards.
You should also avoid trying to do weird yoga poses and do not lie down on your side when trying to pop up. Avoid popping standing up on one leg and foil g hula hoop motions. In short, if you are a kook, stay on the beach
Haha 🤣🙌
This looks so fun
Yes so fun! You should go surf it
This is the equivalent of jumping over into the lion cage . So why are we thankful that you didn’t get eaten in their habitat for taking that risk knowing it’s available ? There must just be an abundance of white people because those are the only people that enjoy this adrenaline risk .
Beautiful interaction
Yes it was. I’m sure you would have jumped in to swim with them!
“Student, the first lesson for you is to know the ocean is dangerous and full of killer whales…see…”, says the instructor.
Great lesson to learn 😅🙌
Still not sure Why they're Labelled as Killer Whales, there have been Only a Handful of Fatalities to Humans by these Mammals, most of Which when they were in Captivity.
Fuck that bro.if I can't see what's under me in the water I don't go there and this is why.🦈🦈🌊🌊

@@小松純 Glad you found it helpful! Thanks
This is not scary, it is encouraging. This just hit home so much when you talked in the other video about the "inner sharks". I assume we are fascinated by our fear of the uncontrollable attack of an (nearly) apex predator. And that is WHO we are. We attack without reason ourselves - whether other human beings, ourselves or our environment. I had a severe bike accident when hitting a tram head first while on my way to the gym. I felt no fear the moment it happened. I felt fear before when I feared to slid under with my legs when the fall started. At times, I forget my calmness and acceptance of all once in the ambulance. You gave that other surfer what you had missed: good company. Compassion and in your case real help. I'm forever thankful for people picking me up AND waiting with me for the ambulance to arrive. That gave me the inner safety to face whatever damage had been done and trust that I will be ok either way. Thanks for doing more than that for your fellow surfer. He may not know that he was spared the traumatising experience of feeling abandoned and you were able to "undo" yours. (Kudos to your dad trying his best to get you raised - although he needed to abandon you at times. It is heartwarming to see that his efforts to make the best out of situation let to you finding a fulfilling joy in life). I guess I would go back into the sea, if surfing were my passion. Cycling in urban environment in the rain is not. But you teach us a great lesson about how to deal with fears and see that they kind of "unalive" us, keeping us at a distance to life.
@@beneleonhard7915 Thanks for your comment. I am glad this hit home and you found it encouraging. I am glad you are ok after your bike accident!! Keep well.

Carry a small water bottle filled with bleach. If you are lucky enough to see the 🦈 coming. Cloud the water with the Bleach. Old Night Time divers trick. My cmmnt is for entertainment only...
If the shark travels thru the bleach cloud it will be no longer interested in you and it will probably die. Multiple bottles is best.
Interesting! i will look into it :)
You’ve tested this?
@@shannonainsliesurf you think I'm stupid enough to confirm or deny that on social media... My cmmnt is purely for entertainment... No self incremination...

I remember South Africa being very sharky back in the 70’s/80’s when I grew up. U are indeed lucky to have escaped with only a hand injury.
@@jasonq111 for sure! It had a bad reputation for sharks and attacks back then. And thanks :)
So, just one thing; you probably weren't going to get eaten. That rarely happens. Sharks normally taste us, find that we're too bony and spit us out. Most shark-attack deaths occur because of bleeding out after a bite to an artery.
@@jamesbadham228 thanks for your feedback. That is mostly true when a person gets attacked on a bodyboard or surfboard. The shark doesn’t like the taste of surfboards or bodyboards! BUT sharks love the taste of us. Maybe we are not as tasty as a fish or a seal, but there have been a lot of shark attacks where people have been EATEN! I’ve unfortunately even seen it happen once before with my own eyes…

The shark was confused because you didn't have the face of a seal. That shows they are looking for their specific prey. It wasn't so much that you prayed, but weren't their intended prey.
