@ yep for sure and tic tacking is important to learn to do so a surfer can surf through the flat weak sections. But if one is surfing powerful pumping waves then they wont need to do any of that :)
Hey Shannon how do you generate speed through bottom turns? I feel like my bottom turns are just turns, my speed is constant throughout it. I noticed many pros actually gain speed even when they are out of the power zone.
@@weldnermarreira3245 Hey. Good question. You need to get low, lean and rotate in the bottom turn, sinking the rail to allow it to pop out the water and spring you to the top. Here is a tutorial on a bottom turn I made- ruclips.net/video/wrtXw43NkIw/видео.htmlsi=r1aZXMs0mt_qcUON and then how to understand how to use the flotation of the board and water flow to help during rail surfing and bottom turns watch this one- ruclips.net/video/haDNRXdMQGQ/видео.htmlsi=-vNR2CVzILInYF5k
@ haha good point. The fins keep the board from sliding out. But what would you suggest? Maybe deep channels in the board like some of the finless boards?
Very informative, thanks coach
@@brandona8246 Glad you like it
thank you. I am still pretty bad and learning to pump/gain speed, so this is super helpful.
Glad it was helpful. Keep trying and if you have any questions let me know 🙌
Great Video Thanks for Sharing, funny to watch i seen it many times but never did myself
Glad you enjoyed it. Keep shredding 🙌
@ still not there to shredd probably hope i will learn it soon
Tik tacking is usually done in smaller weaker surf, pumping in larger and powerful surf, personally I don't care for tik tacking in any surf .

@@shannonainsliesurf thanks man I'll take a look!
@ Cool let me know if you have any questions.
Pumping vs Tic tack???.... Fix the fin problem and you don't need either.
Haha 🤣 the fins help but it’s not the fins that give speed. It’s the rails of the surfboard. A combination of both is best though 🙌
@shannonainsliesurf Fins = drag. Drag = less speed.
