What fitness to do for the BRITISH ARMY?
Is doing weighted runs good for army prep
I failed the online medical questionnaire but it hasn’t told me why i have failed
Thanks Kyle much appreciated
hello kyle i applied from Commonwealth,i did my cognitive via online ..will do it again at the assessment?
Hi I just had my optometrist report rejected because my eyesight is outside of the army’s eyesight requirement on the grounds of ESE being greater than -5 or 6.004. But my eyesight correction states I have 20/20 vision but I’m literally 1 point over the limit. Otherwise I’m physically fit and able to meet the training requirements as for the role I’m aiming for the REME as a fabricator. I really don’t see how the fact I have to wear glasses and my ESE is only 1 point over the limit I’m being rejected considering if someone joined with a similar problem but say they just fit within the limits they would get in even though if you take there glasses off the would be just as visually impaired as myself
My two bobs. Only join FT if you going to get training that will benefit you in the civie world. If going combat, at first will be exciting but then you get into a routine. You don't fire the guns as much as you think and if you leave, apart from some soft skills/leadership skills, what else have you got to offer an employer. Join reserves if looking at a combat/adventure role whilst also working on your civilian career. Time management is key and you will learn great discipline to handle both jobs, which employers love. Also remember once in FT, they own you. You hate your boss, tough titties. Reserves you have a bit more control on the a-holes you work with.
How do the reserves have more control on the dickheads they work with? Is it just because you spend less time with them?
i'm trying to complete all challenges and assessments so i can hopefully get into the Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service next year when i turn 18, amazing video thanks!
Try 4 parra reserves if you want to solider part time
Hi Four months ago i got diagnosed with Irritable bowel syndrome , but i was not given any medication. Will i get rejection.
I heard that you have to stay still until your family comes to you. Im an orphan so how does that work? No family or friends
hey im in the process of my medical notes being viewed. They will probably be denied because first off I'm diagnosed with autism and adhd, but when I got diagnosed I went to the doctors with my mum and she has munchausens and basically she had me go to the doctors and act up and lie to them and gave me money in return, I was only young so I didnt see anything wrong witb it. So i got diagnosed with theses things at a young age and i honestly don't think i have them. If i get denied for them what would be the best course of action is there anyone in the army medical team i can tell about what my mum made me do (just to say she made me do it to be able to claim child's disability so she didn't have to work) I don't remember what she would have told me to do for the autism one because i was very very young but when i got diagnosed with adhd she told me smash the docters room up and she will buy me a ps4 I smashed the room up got diagnosed and got a ps4 but now being 18 I see how abusive that was but these things are still down on record plus additional things shes made up but im not sure whether they have been recorded or if the army would be able to see them. I really don't know what to do because I'm set on joining infantry but don't know where to start with undoing all the stuff shes messed up. Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks
I got rejected today due to history of migraines, ive been off medication for a while now but its saying i cannot join until 07/2026 because i have to be 2 years free of migraines and off migraines medication, i know i have had migraines in the past but two years is excessive is there any worth appealing it to get the term shortened? Or it wont work like that? Just asking for advice please
I really want to join the army , but I just have to process my passport🔥🔥
Great video, with really useful advice. I'm 24 looking to join up, specially military intelligence. I currently complete 3-4 3km run a week, 4x 50, push ups, sit ups, mountain climbers, burpees a week and work lifting heavy weights in a warehouse 40hrs a week and religious listen to current affairs. My question is what would you recommend to even more improve myself to give myself a better shot during assessment and more importantly if i get to basic to be able to thrive rather then struggle.
Is there a combination of both infantry and cyber engineering
Have a look at the Electronic Warfare Signals Intelligence role. Probably the closest to what you are describing
Just subscribed, looking to join the reserves and getting fit abd shedding the lbs , thank you for your vids
Ta like the regs .....you only get out of it what you put into it , good n bad in both regs n ta.
need to get 11.6, only getting up to 8, i have two weeks.. is there hope
Anyone going to Pirbright assessment centre on 28th?
I learned so much from the ACF aged 13-18. Working with SAS 1 to 2 aged 16 was a delight on close target reccies.❤
Hello, thank you for the video, I wanted to ask I haven't been to my GP for a while now, and I contacted them, and I need to show them a physical copy of my application. How would I print out my application in order to show them and then move on to the next process.
I've got myopia (short-sighted) -10 in one eye and -9 in the other, a stage 1 heart block, suffer with migraines, and diagnosed with a personality disorder. What are my chances?
My highest score is 14.9 for 20 meters and am 10
Leaving in couple weeks
Hi mate been deferred due to hearing in my left ear and high blood pressure all due to nerves I can get blood pressure tested easy but hearing is a long wait they said I can’t go to high street and need a gp referel to audiology do you think if I go private that will be fine
You’re just putting 1 foot into the line? In the assessment centre, what are the rules for that? I’d have thought surely you have to step over the line with 2 feet, I just did my first bleep test yesterday, and was stepping two feet to cross over the line and back in, and I got a level 9.1 before I truthfully striked myself out. Just wondering, cos if I’m allowed to just put 1 foot into it and turn around, I’d be making level 11/12 for sure.
Been waiting two months for and appeal was in the army doctor give me an epiPen and didn’t put it on my record. Had tonsillitis and they what did the doctor give you for treatment? I say he gave EpiPen they said well we’re gonna medically discharge you go out do your investigation and apply back with negative results which I did and here i am waiting two months for a reply from the army medical team you said it take up to 4-6 weeks
How long would it take to get 148 battery 29 commando from phase 2?
You need to pass the All Arms Commando Course first. Get your airborne wings & maybe if you’re lucky you can get 148 bty. People that pass AACC don’t normally get 148 bty on their first few years in the regiment
Who tells the army you have a condition, is it me or the Gp . For me ill say no to everything
They always check your medical records so don't lie or you are fked
Tough course along with Royal Marine’s basic training
Just my opinion but the reserves and regs are completely different beasts. However with both, there are high functioning individuals and lizards within units. With regs if they aren’t performing, you can AGAI, put on show parades, remedial PT, weekend duties Ect, to encourage improvement. Where with reserves if they are treated like that they can just not turn up or hand kit back and say see you later, however most reserves I’ve met are keen to learn. Ideally want troops who aren’t up-to it and not showing willingness to improve gone but we all know they are kept just on so numbers look better. For me one issue is trying to get a reservist to cover the same as a reg. For me they would be more useful if they specialised in one skill instead of trying to be multi faceted. With career progression they try to promote in a similar timescale, however many reservists don’t want to promote up the ranks. Reason being, they often have family life, full time job and once you get to full screw or above you are expected to be more involved in organising the training and they just want to be a bod, who turns up and is told what to do. AT is a bit of a joke, reserves get a lot more opportunities. Fair play to them, take advantage but should be going to regs first.
Sir what if you already applied 5 times, is the application still active?
Is it still the same now or has it changed ?
So when you say "turn up for these couces/PT" so on. Were you on base or housed around it to attend these? Silly question but making sure.
As a soldier do you do more adventure training/get more opportunities to go away and travel than as an officer?
Hello, I am looking to join the army, but I may have a medical condition. I haven't been formally diagnosed, but my back is not symmetrical on the Adams test, which could indicate scoliosis. However, I don't experience any back pain, and it doesn't affect me in any way. I can squat, deadlift, and carry heavy weights without any problems. Will this be a barrier to entry?
Hello Kyle, I’ve just put in an appeal due to being challenged as UNFIT, due to having anorexia in 2020. I have read their parliament page and looked online and I know my chances for this are extremely slim. But this is my dream so I’m not giving it up easily. I’m already waiting for an appointment with my GP to have them write a letter. I was wondering if there was any other advice that could help towards this?
Hi Kyle. I’ve had a medical pass pre AC But they have said my condition might be flagged up at the AC and I might get rejected. What’s the best way of getting over this
Go to assessment Centre smash it, down play the condition what ever it is, or try hide it. Apart from that there’s not much else you can do
Lucky man My parents won’t let me join 😢
You are you
4 mile is 1hour 31 in confused 🤔 i walk quicker than that
13.1 miles mate. 4 miles this morning whilst filming this video
