I was rejected from the army due to my astigmatism numbers being too high (-5.00) however i dont wear glasses or contacts as i see fine wothout them. Got a chance to appeal and is my final shot. Any advice on how to put together a strong case. Do you have an email or social media account ? Thanks in advance

    Capita's management of army recruitment is a colossal failure of epic proportions. Their shocking ineptitude and gross mismanagement have turned a vital process into an absolute nightmare. Applicants are subjected to endless delays, sometimes waiting over a year without a single update. Communication is virtually non-existent, with countless inquiries going unanswered, leaving potential recruits in a state of limbo and despair.The recruitment system is a relic from the dark ages, plagued by constant crashes and data losses. The online portal is a joke, barely functional and incredibly frustrating to navigate. Medical assessments are a farce, marred by organizational chaos and frequent rescheduling, often for the most trivial reasons. Lost paperwork is rampant, forcing applicants to redo steps multiple times.Capita's incompetence has caused a dramatic decline in recruitment numbers, severely undermining the army's operational capability. Their failure to provide even the most basic level of service is inexcusable and borders on negligence. The sheer scale of their failure is a disservice not only to potential recruits but to the nation as a whole. In short, Capita's handling of army recruitment is a catastrophic failure that needs urgent and drastic intervention.

    Hi mate, I have just been permanently rejected from the British Army, after an appeal and a further information appeal. The reason is due to a past minor knee issue which my doctor has told them is absolutely fine now. I completely disagree with the decision and have asked to be assessed in person. Have you got any advice on anything that I can do? If not, is it possible to apply for the Royal Navy after being rejected by the army ? Simply refuse to be told I am unfit for military service

    • @KyleSmithFIT
      @KyleSmithFIT 16 дней назад

      It’s up to you mate, going the AFC Harrogate is longer but you get more of a chance to get ready for what you will face when you get to Catterick. Joining as an adult, straight to Catterick is challenging if you’ve got little fitness experience cause you’ll be pushed to your limits pre much all the time. For a young lad 9/10 times it’s better to go to Harrogate.

    • @KyleSmithFIT
      @KyleSmithFIT 16 дней назад

      Sounds simple mate but just get out running, slow. Running at a pace you can hold for a few miles, slowly build it up. You need a build a solid base this is done by running slow. Run slow to run fast basically. Once you’ve done that start adding some interval training in, sprints 30 sprint 1 min walk. Do that 10 times. I might make a video on this so stay tuned

    Hi Kyle, great video, I've had a medical rejection from clear history of chronic Back pain and anxiety, the description is very detailed and doesn't relate to what I've experienced, for example: the back pain was from the construction industry, muscular but fixed from private treatment recommended by the doctor, the anxiety descriptions weren't close and don't even feel those symptoms anymore, I'm collecting the evidence with a supporting letter, could you shed any light on this at all? Thank you Kyle your videos are really good.

    I imagine you may not see this as the video has been up for so long. I have a history of self harm and mental health issues from what i would consider a past life at this point. Its been years since ive struggled with anything mentally. Im currently focusing on finishing my degree (should be done by september) and then have been told to apply for the exemption once thats complete. My doctor has agreed to write a letter as soon as its required but ive decided it be best to get my degree finished and focus on improving my health. (Lost 4.5 stone in 4 weeks over christmas and maintained a healthy weight since) My main worry is sending the exemption and them still saying no . Would it be recommended to get a letter from a mental health nurse practitioner too as extra supporting evidence?

    I'm going to take you to task on this, the Difference between Regular and Reserve, ok I am going to refer to the TA as I spent most of the 90s in the TA. The first thing is the Regular Army spent a lot of time in barracks getting really bored, especially those that were based in BFG. During Ex Rhino Replen 94 I watched a complete farse of a regular demonstration company that couldn't work with basic equipment, one Sgt managed to set his Mk 2 stove on fire, and it ended up being kicked into the River Wesser! Regular Army instructors actually liked training the TA because of their outlook, training was seen as fun, so the TA had bags of enthusiasm. The Regular Army spent weeks making recruits march up and down corridors to break them so they could try and mold them, the TA at the same Training barracks may have only been there for two weeks but because the TA squaddie is older and wiser they didn't need to do as much BS, yes we had kit inspections, quick change inspections but we dealt with them so we could crack on for battle skill skills week. What did I get out of the TA, two brilliant weeks at Catterick for basic training, travelled all over north-west Europe on exercises, 6 months in BFG backfilling for Bosnia, went parachuting with JSPC, and sailing with JSASTC, the social side was something else as well, I'm still mates with people from the units I served with, I can honestly say I was never bored in the TA

      For the next two weeks do 3 runs a week and some strength session. 1x slow easy run 3-5 miles depending on ability 1x speed session - find a track or a decent loop you can repeat. Run it about 80% of your max sprint. And rest the time it takes you to run so, for example if you run your loop in 2 mins rest for 2 mins. 5-10 loops depending on ability. Make sure you warm up and cool down 10 minutes of jogging to prevent injury. 1x long run 6+ miles, slow steady and enjoy. Try not to walk on these runs, if thag means slow it right down then do that but don’t stop! 👍
