P Coy is quite easy I guess for parachute regiment as recruits you do all the events most weeks anyhow and being p coy staff I only really saw all arms crap hats struggle but that's up to there pre para and not forgetting p coy is the minimal requirements, in battalion we tent to do 10miler followed by 2 miler then BFT all done before lunch.

I did All Arms P Coy back in '71 at Depot Para Aldershot. Twice. 😭😂. Bust my wrist first time round. Did the pre Para beat up with the Guards at Pirbright, then a week at Depot followed by Selection Week. Ended up in Wales for the stretcher race and a run up Pen y Fan for overnight bivvy then a race down the mountain in the morning to the trucks, ENDEX, cuppa char and a 4 hour trek back to 'Shot and the beret parade next day. P Coy was not easy, even for me as a fit X Country runner. Happy days, tho'. 👍

@@ken-u3n I think it’s pretty clear that it’s hard for most people. There is a reason that most events have multiple people coming off, para reg and all arms. Most people are fit enough to be there but either get injuries or struggle mentally.
In my opinion of course 😛

@@KyleSmithFIT Very true. Its a case of mind over matter. The DS didn't mind, and we didn't matter. Exactly as it should be. If you want it you've got to fight for it. Cheers. 👍

1989 Nearly bottled the illusion jump. The only thing that made me jump was the DS calling me a wanker and if I didn't jump I was off the course. The thought of the previous 5 weeks of beastings all being for nothing did the trick!

Looks a lot further than what it is mate. Going back to the start of the course is brutal, wouldn’t recommend it to anyone 🤣

Hey, I've been loving your content and it's been super helpful when I'm applying for the reserves. I have a problem though, and I would really appreciate any suggestions.
I was filling in the medical form, and I had Raynauds Disease when I was younger, which is something that instantly blocks you from joining the army. My health is entirely on point, I would smash the physical with flying colours, and I don't even have any symptoms of it anymore. It seems like a non-factor that wouldn't affect me at all.
I can't actually apply without ticking the box to confirm I have never had it. How do I go about doing this?

Yes mate, it does have to be anything to crazy but start getting in the habit of doing 2-3 runs a week, build the distance and speed up as you improve and some good old fashion press ups, sit ups, squats, and pulls ups (if you can).
The more prepared you are, the easier training will be. If you turn up and have done nothing you will struggle and probably not enjoy it as much.
