Seems like there is a lot of know it alls on this thread. Be that commenting on his beret, or whether this operation actually happened. It really is quite comical to say the least. Tin pot squaddies who think they know shit. Any serving or ex serving member of the British army would know better. A beret is shaped and worn in many different ways, sometimes depending on the regiment the soldier is a part of! Para’s, RIFLES, RTR, PWRR are just some that wear there berets in a particular way.
As for people calling bullshit on whether this operation took place, it seems like you are all privy to files at GCHQ, MI5 & MI6., as well as the MOD and foriegn office. You must be quite powerful people to be in such a position.

We drove from Split to Kisslejak or Visoko in Bosnia, I can't remember which was first.... Then we were stationed at Zetra ice stadium in Sarajevo, the place where Torvil and Dean won their gold medal in ice skating in the winter Olympics in 1984....

Jugoslavia was already breaking up! Slovenia declared independance on the 25th of June 1991 along with Croatia, there was a brief war in Slovenia before the Jugoslavians (basically Serbia along with a few allies of theirs) left. then there was the war in Croatia that was more serious. the Bosnian war didn't start until 1992, so to say that NATO was breaking up Jugoslavia is completely incorrect, if Milošević and many other Serbs hadn't been a complete dick of a human being this could have gone a completely different way. Don't get me wrong, the Croats and the Bosnians were killing Serbs left, right and centre, but the Serbs were no angels either!

I was in Gornji Vakuf with 1PWO, we took over from the Cheshire Regiment. This was the first time the SAS guys came into country, that i recall. We drove them around to a bunch of places we were in warriors and they were in the whitest Land Rovers you could find, which we all laughed about on the briefings, as our warriors were in rough shape. Also I did a tour in NI at north Howard Street Mill, Belfast. On the odd occasion we would stop these guys just by chance on say a snap VCP when on patrol. They would pass you a little book with their Army ID card and a business card that if i recall would say " Have a nice day shoot someone today" 22 SAS...

The reason in one word is, politics. America and its allies got removed from Vietnam. On the ground. The 1968 Tet offensive lost the NVA the war. Unfortunately, the American .media lost the war by using partisan reporting on actual events. Just one example. Iraq and Afghanistan were in the same position. A no win situation due to incredibly bad political direction and will only to make a profit. Nothing else. Nothing for the allies or the indigenous population. Again! Since WW2. Only the Falklands war and Grenada had positive outcomes for America and Britain.

@@leehulmes6617 I am saying there is no public record other than him claiming it happened that it happened :) this happened back in the early 1990's (My dad was in Bosnia and never heard about it though that doesn't mean much) and we have clear records of all SAS personal captured by the enemy, when and where in Aden for example and this would not even count as a covert mission and there would be no reason to hide it esspecially when he goes around claiming it happened :) The person he claims it happened with and he are very publicity hungry, they make a living writing books and presenting things.

Great praise for Dudakovic who defended Bihac from 3 sides, Serbs, Croats, and traitor Bosniaks. Thanks!

Agh...negative Ghostrider! The Croats not only never attacked Bihac, but it was thanks to the Croatian Military's Operation Storm in August of 1995 that Bihac was saved from becoming another Srebrenica. The Bihac Enclave was one of the few "shiny spots" in the Bosnian War where the local Croats and Muslims did not fight each other but instead they defended their land together against the Serbian aggressor, like it should have been done the whole time everywhere in BiH. The Croatian-Muslim fighting officially ended with the signing of the Split Agreement in 1994 when Croatians & Muslims became allies again. This time the alliance didn't include only amongst the various local (para) military fractions on the ground, but it was an official alliance agreement between the Govrenments of Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina which included allowing the troops of the Croatian Military entering the territory of Republic of Bosnia Herzegovina from the territory of Republic of Croatia and helping the Armija BiH troops in joint offensives against the Serbs all with the blessing of Washington, EU, and NATO. If it wasn't for the Operation Storm, Bihac would have fallen to the war-criminal General Mladic's troops and the Serbs would have committed worse genocide in Bihac than they did already in Srebrenica. There is a famous scene of the meet at the bridge over river Korana in the town of Trzacka Rastela, which is the border between Croatia and BiH, where on Aug 6th 1995, General Dudakovic happily greets General Marinkovic of the Croatian Army half way on the bridge and officially invites/allows the Croatian Military troops to cross the bridge and enter Bosnia & Herzegovina. It was kind of the like the first meeting of the Allies during WW2 on the River Elbe in 1945 when the American/British troops linked up with the Soviet Red Army. Oh and btw, my father was there as a member of the Croatian Army's 1st Brigade and he said that besides liberating the Croatian territory, every Croatian soldier's main motivation/drive was to save the save the people of Bihac who were encircled by the Serbs for over1,200 days from getting slaughtered by Mladic's henchmen.

I wish he was lying- I wish all the lies you spew, about the war in Bosnia were true- how Serbs were actually real victims, and all the BS - how you then had to defend your people, cause in your sick mind, you are heroes who had to run to the rescue, to those poor people - I wish really that was true!
Only psychos like to be a victim, for everyone else, it’s really exhausting!
Except for you! So it would be so good that you were the actual victims, and we were the monsters, but hey that would be to good, to be true!
Never was, sadly, I know- I also wish that was the other way around - and times 10!
