- Let's talk about Christmas in the British Army the good the bad and the ugly.
Merry Christmas all.
My Recommended Running Kit
Trail running trainers:
Salomon
Love these trainers really good for off road/trail running, ideal for most occassions in the military : amzn.to/3QApbH3
New balance
Another great trail running shoes that comes in a bit cheaper than the Salomon, for most people this will be perfect in terms of budget and performance for basic training : amzn.to/3qwt5qj
Road Runners
Nike Zoom Fly
I am currently using this Nike Zoom Fly 3's, i have had these for sometime now and they still feel amazing and i would recommond getting a running shoe for the Zoom Fly family : amzn.to/3JMmRdS
Running watch: amzn.to/3GzwiLo
(using this myself, basic and does a great job, really cheap)
Running shorts: amzn.to/3GAXF7J

Hello, I will love to join the British army but I am originally from Nigeria and currently in the UK since 2022, I came Into the UK through student route for my master and I have always love the British army, is there anyway for me to join or how to apply if possible, more also I'm don with my schooling and I've switch to tier 2 working in a care home with a 5years leave to stay visa, please I will like to know how to go about this. Thanks . Your videos are amazing
my app gets reviewed one more time at the end of this month, had a nightmare due to some issues on my med record and was deferred from september last year. just need to goto my gp once more and get cleared for my knee then i should be able to go back up to glencorse and do my bleep test (ive done the ball throw: 5m - and the thigh pull: 190kg). gunna start training again now so i should be sorted for when i can go back up. on the plus side at least i didnt have to get beasted during the winter on phase 1😆
I know you haven't uploaded in a while but I'm commenting in case you check, I begin phase 1 basic training in Pirbright in march and frankly I'm crapping myself, is everyone else as nervous as me? I feel underprepared despite training a ton and even though I have researched it I feel like it will be very different. Hope you're doing well man sad to see no uploads this year
It’s nothing to worry about mate, worst thing you can do is over think. Everything is slow pace at first and it’s designed to be passed.
All the best
@LiamThomson-tq3uv alright, thank you a lot man, i cant wait but its going to be way out my comfort zone
@@hyfive2111take everything as it comes, take nothing personal it’s all a game
Have you got any advice about assessment centre?? I’ve just applied for infantry but I can’t do a push up. My running sit ups and everything is fine I just can’t do a push up and how did u train??
@@P1xqrto be honest you don’t do press ups and sit ups on selection, so I wouldn’t worry
Far too much heavy drinking in the Army leads to lot of problems for some!
Do you get double pay throughout the period or a bonus ?
Haha nope, joys of being in the military
Hey man I’ve got my assessment in pirbright in a week and 1 day, I’ve researched dog handling as it’s my first choice but have found many different answers, and now I’m panicking as this has been a dream of mine and really do not want to screw it up is there any advice at all you could give me or websites that have the true info, also I’ve watched many of your bleep test videos and has helped majorly so thanks a lot bud👍🏼
Hey, mate just learn the basics where you will go for phase 1 and phase 2 training, some of things you will do in training. Learn the army core values “CDRILS”. The rest of it will be more questions that you can answer pretty easy, like “why do you want to join the army?”
Also, dog handler is a specialist role that do not have many intakes a year, I would be prepared to have to wait a long time to get in and possibly have a back up.
@@KyleSmithFIT thanks a lot for that mate, I’ll try my best and hope I do, I’ve been thinking about other choices as I want to be busy and always have something to do so maybe infantry is a good shout I appreciate you getting back to me thanks
@@KyleSmithFITjust thought I’d let you know I passed my assessment in glencourse and got the dog handler role I start basic on 3rd of December so plenty of enough time to go for runs around lanes and off-road etc so I’m prepared
@@coreystephens934 happy days mate congratulations 👊🏻
Good luck I hope you enjoy it
What score do u have to get to in the beep test for a driver role please??
How do you have a beard in the army mate?
I am a Commonwealth country citizen.
Does stretch mark on shoulder make any issue for joining british military?
No you’ll be fine
Are you that lady's boyfriend?
Oh aye, course I am 😂
@@KyleSmithFITno way, I found THEE Kyle Smith 😂
