I got turned down from army, navy and RAF because I had... HAD asthma when I was a kid, despite being medically clear from it for over 10 years at the point I applied.
The military's entry requirements today are a complete joke. I've met a few people who were also turned down in the medical.
No wonder they have a recruitment crisis, like you have to be physically perfect just to write out the application now. If you've had any medication for anything, had any diagnosis for physical or mental issues, even visited a GP, don't bother. They will likely defer you, or in my case, completely reject you.

Hi mate, I’ve been looking into medicine for a while. I’m a trained biomedical scientist (band 6 so I got some diagnostic responsibility) I’ve always been attracted to pathology. Can a graduate in a related field but at a lower level go out and do medicine to become a pathologist? Best mates came from the forces and the family is focused to the navy so it’s something I’d believe I would love to do.

Hi matey, going in for the army brief next week having completed the first part of my application (inc. med survey). I had a couple GP appointments and physio sessions regarding my knee 18-36 months ago. I did so as there was a slight pain and discomfort so just wanted to make sure there wasn’t a serious issue and there wasn’t. Having lost weight doing a very strenuous physical job, and done a lot of leg work in the gym I am now absolutely fine, no pain no impairment. Just wondering how worried you think I should be. I’ve got mate in the army who said I’ll be fine but just wanted a second opinion. Cheers for vid👍

so last year i was going on 9-12+ hikes and i took diazepam to help with muscle cramps, i decided to do a 7 day water only fast (autophagy) after a few months of doing hiking as id read the benefits of doing a strict water fast.
on day 5/6 (i had only drank water and nothing to eat, did not sleep either at all) i began to feel (from full of energy) to weak and my muscles seized up, i took a diazepam and what not to break the fast and i had a seizure. would this be treated as provoked and assessed individually ? thanks in advance - tried to keep as short as possible - my medical records just says "provoked seizure" - its pretty obvious why i had a seizure though...

@@Pubg_Abbas_T61a5 i really cant say mate, but you may have a lot better chance if you join the NAvy or RAF. The army is a lot stricter about eczema due to the nature of the army role.

A lot of my joints make a clicking/snapping noise when moving them but don’t cause me any pain and I have been told of my doctor it’s nothing to worry and is common could this get me rejected or deferred at assessment centre

Umm hard to say mate, best thing to do is go through the medical process and see what happens. If you get rejected or deferred go back to your GP and get him to write you a letter confirming what you just said.

Yes mate they look in to your pass medical history, they will also ask you questions at the assessment centre. Obviously if you answer no to the questions they as you and if you have no previous issues on your history you will be fine.
