Watching this after your video about starting a review channel. I understand if it’s not your style, but I guarantee if you want more people to watch your channel / reviews you need a quick theme song intro. You have a great channel name and logo. From what I watched from your video your info / edit is solid, but you don’t have a hook. Background music is good 👍. Add a fun introduction to your reviews and the views will blow up. Same with recap vids etc. it’s just a branding thing. Everything else is great. 👍 Watch Dan Murrel, or Adam does movies as well.

This video feels incomplete, like a part 1. You should create another video giving more ideas and examples. Also, I would like to point out that the RUclips Jahns and Stuckmann both had had consistent structure in their reviews. They created a consistent aesthetic & intro song, both have extensive film knowledge and keep their videos succinct and brief. When it comes to YT thumbnails I’ve noticed the ones who have an established logo, intro theme and strong graphic design and maintain a consistent output generate more followers. RUclips is like tv. People approach content and are drawn to content that has a professional yet unique quality to it. Austin Burke, Sean, and Dan Murrel all have similar structure with their reviews and the more you watch them the more you learn about film and they gain your trust bc they share their knowledge. So the advice you were given isn’t %100 true. I’m glad you found a formula that worked, but some of it is your approach. Create an original intro theme song, tell people what movie you’re reviewing, what works / doesn’t work about the film and why, then ask them to share what they think in the comments and tell them you’ll see them in the next video. Recap videos are very valuable but you can create an audience either way. You just have to create a format with some theatricality to it. Otherwise people check out. It needs to feel fun. I have found that my favorite RUclips movie critics and their formats are pretty much all the same: short, concise, funny, spoiler-free, and a friendly, personable attitude. BUT, that being said, these SAME critics that I subscribe to and follow are the SAME ONES that others thrash and hate!! They even post 22-minute HATE videos on them! WTH!!??

Am I the only one who thinks it started so slow???? I wanted to like it. I finished it. It just wasn't for me. Out of a 5 star rating, I would give it a 3.

This show did frustrate me at first, but I actually loved that it didn't spoon-feed us an overly simplistic narrative explaining what's going on, like Dark Matter has done so far. I enjoyed trying to figure out the different universes and the quantum-entangled counterparts to each character. The time discrepancies are the only thing that still frustrate me because that makes zero sense, the differences in the years that you pointed out. You actually noticed one that I haven't seen others notice and that I missed - the 2020 date. WTF? I think if they really intended to introduce different timelines in addition to different universes, that was foolish and nonsensical in an already deeply complex series. I think the astronauts were able to switch with their counterparts before the CAL existed simply because they were in space - there was a quote earlier in the season that said "there's something about space that is wrong." I believe the CAL device created a bridge for people to cross between universes to their quantum-entangled counterpart WHILE ON EARTH, not just in space, and that was a game changer. I think it also was capable of creating a liminal space between the universes where people could interact with their counterparts, which is why we saw the weird in-between universes at the cabin when the device was taken there. And Henry switched places with Bud because Henry was near the CAL device at the cabin and going through a high-stress experience at the same time as Bud, who had just shot Paul (another high-stress experience). Crossing over seems to require a bridge like the CAL and a high-stress or traumatic event occurring on both sides, in my opinion. I think if this show hadn't been canceled, the baby might have served as the new CAL, a bridge point between worlds, because it was conceived by people from two different universes.

Thanks for the video, it was helpful. I recently tested RUclips TV, due to on going technical issues on Hulu, but didn’t like the DVR functionality. It does’t let you just record the new show, it records new and all re-runs, which seems to clog up the library. Granted it is unlimited but that’s a lot of re-runs I’m not likely to watch. Also, I thought in the past you could select the new show to watch when recorded rather than the on-demand version, thereby no ads, but I didn’t see that option anymore. Maybe I was using it wrong, is there a trick to these things? Thanks!
