- I review, breakdown and explain Constellation Episode 7. I discuss the Apple TV+ show which stars Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks. I react to the scenes in space, back on earth, and the mysteries behind everything going on. I also give my theories and predictions on future episodes.
Is Henry/Bud dead? Where was Jo taken? Are there actually four universes?

The most noteworthy aspect of the cabins for me was the cat, and I think it leads us right back to three realities: In one cabin the cat is alive. In another cabin the cat is dead. In the third cabin, the cat is both alive and dead. The cabin with the alive and dead cat may be liminal space. It's also the only space in which the Alices can communicate, which adds to its in-betweenness.
Liminal space also seems like where Magnus could see Jo ⚡️
I think the liminal space might be twofold. There are 4 paintings. Using the vernacular from Dizmodo's video, we have red cabin, cabin 1 (liminal space 1), cabin 2 (liminal space 2), and blue cabin. Red Jo burns blue cabin and rescues blue Alice who went from blue reality to liminal space 2. The fact that there are 4 variations of the painting hints towards that (angel on stretcher, angel in house, changeling stirring pot, and changeling on stretcher).
Truly a shrodinger's cat moment
I agree, and that the condition of the cat+paintings is affected by the observer
Did anyone else notice that that last shot of the cat that was alive was eating the dead cat?
The reference to Schrödinger's Cat with an actual cat means there’s most likely only three "realities." One where the cat is dead, one where it is alive and then the liminal space in between where both possibilities exist. The cabin acts as the box in the Schrödinger's Cat analogy.
They also teased a season 2 during an interview with one of the producers and the actor playing Jo. The said they would hope a second season can be greenlit.

watching this episode felt like counting cards keeping up with whos who and wheres where
good to know, i was not the only one. greetings from Brazil.😘
This episode and the last was the most stress inducing TV that I’ve witnessed to date. There were so many time’s I was like, “Ope, there goes Alice again, off to roam the nomad alone again.” Like please just stay still! Same with the mom, like please just stay in the cabin. Sheesh. 🤯
I’ve heard people not liking Alice, but I love her. She’s the main character and the smartest one IMO. Great actresses too.
Agreed
idk, she just doesnt seem human to me , like there is something wrong with her
I have no issue with Alice. She’s a great character! Dk why ppl has to hate on her 😒
Thank you for the recap, I knew there’s something about the painting, but watching it while doing housework means I can just rewatch to take notes lol! It is a bit confusing and yes, I’m hoping the ending will wrap everything up nicely! See you next week!
Alice is a key figure & mediator for her mother. Blue Alice has a perceptive, stable personality & seems driven to help her mummy. I love her open inquiring mind. Both Alices must be different expressions of the same person because when they’re talking through the cupboard mirror, red Alice suddenly becomes sleepy when blue Alice is losing consciousness, due to smoke inhalation.
Shout out to actresses Davina Coleman, Rosie Coleman, and Noomi Rapace.
Very well done scene putting all the pieces on the table. I like everyone knowing what's happening and its not the Three's company troupe where you don't believe someone who heard something out of context.
Jonathan Banks is one of the best actors alive and this is some great work.
If you put Jo back in her correct universe, I don't see a huge need for more seasons.
If you don't put Jo back in her correct universe, please renew so I can have closure.
Thank you AppleTv. You are putting out some of the best hard science fiction today. There is no second place. I love this episode.
Just some thoughts: Henry has an idea that the switches have something to do with death (as well as stress trauma and lithium) - i think its not death exactly - but someone on the verge of death - between life and death. Everything seems to revolve arround liminal spaces - a mirror is a barrier (space) between our world and the one we seen in the mirror; Alices age; crossing the earth orbit seems to be connected with that as well; the cabin is on the edge of the lake - so between land and watter - or perhaps between wilderness and civilization...
That connects to Valya/Irina, and also - it was probably Blue Joe that released the conection mechanism inside the station - they never left the liminal SPACE (literally) - and so they are both dead and alive at the same time...
I would honestly be lost without your videos! I watch them weekly! Glad to be on this crazy journey with you and the commenters!
Yay! Thank you!
And I would also be a lot more confused if not for this awesome community!
I think death plays a part in the universe switch as when bud fired the shot to kill Paul the switch initiated and then when blue Alice is about to die in the snow. Red Alice seems more present and then vanishes again when blue Alice is revived. So it would appear death is a trigger to another state where they can switch. Possibly could indicate aswell why irena is dying of cancer in her universe but dead as the cosmonaut but may have more sinister intentions in order to get back to her universe hence why she’s haunting alice
This series has my mind F’d always throws me for another loop
yes, i believe death is the key to the switch. But what i wanna know is why sometimes red Jo can't hear red alice, an sometimes she can. There's something to explain, i hope last episode tells us.
I think not death itself - but someone on the verge of death to be exact - liminal space between life and death ;)
After I've watched, I always come here to see if I missed anything. And I did with bud looking like he is dead. Great catch 👍
Happy to help!
If episode 8 will be like the finale of other shows, they'll have the episode go as normal but the last 5 minutes try to tie up loose ends and get us knotted up with frustration.
Maybe Jo can't swap back because her original body is dead? She appears to be in Quantum Flux. Each time she gets pain in her eye, the Quantum state is trying to fix itself to it's original fixed point. The state tries and fails, then attempts again with a different algorithm and will keep trying until it's successful. This success could change the positioning state of Jo physically to a last known stable version, bumping her into the past, where she (Jo A) and dead Jo (Jo B) were last in the same location in both Universes. Perhaps placing her back on the ISS before Jo A left making her Jo B. Quantum defies time, it's a bridge between realities in this show, it is the liminal space.
你我所见略同
Angel on the stretcher is the og painting, not a crossover. Also both Alice's see things from both universes in thar freaky cabin, 2 paintings, 2 cats. The freaky cabin is the liminal space, it is the third one but it changes its contents according to the observer (Jo is the observer here).
So all in all, 3 cabins - red, blue, liminal in which content change according to the beholder but it shares the same "space".
I was diligently trying to follow everything in this episode but at a certain point I swore out loud. I think it was when we saw a new painting “version”. The angel in the changeling painting. I then realized we had a FOURTH reality (or cabin). Regarding the heavy handed Schrodingers cat reference, we saw both of them together when Jo saw the other reality in the reflection. Like one was bleeding into the other.
No way the wrap these things up in one more episode…
Yeah, I’m super fearful that this may end in a petty serious train wreck
It’s not the first time the angle in the channeling showed up tho
My understanding is "The Changeling" is a series of paintings and they have all of them hanging in the cabin. The one they focus on may help to determine which universe they are in. But I know I saw a scene with the same characters, but you could see a couple different versions of the painting on different walls depending on the camera angle.
I'm here again to watch your recap before I watch this weeks episode. I can't keep up with all the realities, colors, who is who doing what in which time. With as confusing as it is for me personally my one big problem with the show has become "what do I care which reality wins". I haven't developed an emotional attachment or or become distressed at the notion of anyone's reality disappearing, even if that's what the goal is.
It just totally clicked for me
Cabin A jo and alice B
Cabin B liminal cabin burning and frozen
Cabin C alice A and Magnus A
The entire last episode was mind-blowing!
The trajectory was wrong out in space. it's a mirror. The light was a reflection of the sun she sent herself to the wrong home, more than likely a worm hole in space.
I think you're right about there being 4 cabins. Red universe cabin, the liminal-space cabin red Alice goes to, blue universe cabin, and the liminal-space cabin blue alice finally finds this episode (referred to as cabin 2)
I'm afraid they're going to end up with a plot hole if they say the CAL causes the swapping because when Bud and Henry swapped, the CAL didn't exist yet. And if they say the CAL can work through time as well, then it kinda sucks that it wasn't made more clear how that works.
That said, so far, one Henry, one Paul, one Alice, and one Jo have all physically touched the active CAL device. I can imagine they'll show Irena touching it as well and implying that every single Astronaut that was ever given the lithium touched an active CAL in some universe or another. That would raise some questions for me, but the main "one" is: do only 2 primary universes interact? And why? Because it seems like there have been too many astronauts and cosmonauts who've gone "crazy" (aka swapped) to suggest that THAT many people, in one universe or another, have touched the active CAL device.
Great vid, Dizmodo
I don’t think CAL causes the switch in space … but I think it causes it on Earth. I think Henry mentioned trying to capture what happened to him (and others) in space in his design of CAL. It’s clear that the old broken cabin with snow inside is the liminal space, and it seemed they were implying that there are two liminal spaces (making it 4 realities) but it could be just one visible through mirrors only
I think in the Sixth episode they mentioned that the CAL was an experiment during Bud/Henry's mission, that's why the switch happened.
@@EZIOXXX777 It was, but at the current time, not back in the 70's. It was something Henry/Bud created to try to understand what happened in the 70's.
@@filmbuff-dh9kb I'm just starting to grasp this 3 Realities, which makes sense with the Observer Effect. I'm not seeing with a 4th fits in yet.
I’ll mention again concepts that have been introduced in past episodes. There are two realities (cat is dead and cat is alive), but there is also an interference pattern when the two realities diverge. As with Schrödinger’s a cat, the box has opened, and the characters are “realizing” the different possibilities by inadvertently “observing” them, through the disruption created by the CAL. Jo can be both alive and dead, Paul can be both alive and dead, the astronauts can either have died or been saved. What had Alice said earlier in the season? She’s not dead until we know she’s dead. This is the psychological state people experience when a loved one is missing, and the body has not been found. They are both dead and alive. This show is about different observers, Jo, Alice, Paul, Henry, Magnus, etc. who are no longer all observing the same reality. It was strange. I have to go back, because there seemed to be flashing lights and law enforcement at the cabin both in the blue Magnus, and the red Magnus realities. Did blue Magnus call 911 also? Did red Alice find the CAL at some point?
Yeah, there’s two sets of police
In one reality, it’s the crew going after Jo for taking Alice out there after attacking Magnus.
The other is out there because Magnus called them when his Alice went missing.
Another observation, after watching the incident in episode one and episode six carefully, When the CAL is being activated red Jo and Alice are at the window. during the event Blue Jo still has her iPad and Alice is visible on the screen. Meanwhile, red Jo loses connection with Alice. Blue Jo gets her iPad knocked out of her hand and gets sucked into the light then crashes head first to the perforated window. Blue Jo sees this and still has her iPad on hand. Blue Alice never lost her connection and would have seen the accident real time, but does not seem to be aware when she arrives at school, while blue Wendy looks distressed and says she had bad dreams.
Did someone notice that, sometimes, there is a black blur on the edges of the screen? Something like it's a vision behind something, like hidden. Or someone looking with their eyes closing.
I did notice that, actually.
This is a conversation I had been having with ChatGpt. Before even watching the series.
Quite simply, "What happens when Schrodingers Cat, observes itself"? The wave function collapses with either reality being viable. ❤❤❤
Love it
I’m with you, I prefer logical and clear stories but we need to consider that we are dealing here with QUANTUM MECHANICS! And this is how has been happening, Einstein didn’t like it either but it is what it is, the Universe don’t need to be like we want it to be unfortunately. So, in quantum mechanics there are many experiments and phenomena that are linked to the viewers interpretation, scientist and experiment are joined together. So I think at the end this series will end like that, with viewers discoursing what is the “real” interpretation but like in the scientific world none one would be able to convince the others. In this way, I think this will mirror the quantum reality so it would be the right ending for this great series. At least that is my opinion. Thanks for your always valuable insights!
Thank you for your great videos, without your guidance it would be difficult to follow. I really enjoyed this series. Thanks for your help.
You're very welcome! Thanks for being here!
This show is simply amazing! Love all the theorising and the community on RUclips. We're all definitely in this liminal mess together.
I think that we have to assume that Henry told Jo about the CAL in EP04 in the in the lab. They may have cut it, so as to not have it explained twice. Assume.
Ehhh, idk
I agree this can’t be wrapped up in one last episode. There needs to be another season.
The CAL experiment did exist in live Jo’s universe. It was just abandoned. But not unreasonable that she would know what it is.
The cabin is a liminal space, where realities shift & other perceptions are accessible. The pictures change to reflect current experiences. There's a lot to decipher. When the 2 Alices are communicating in the cupboard, blue Alice, the mediator, tells red Alice "I think it's your mamma who's alive & my mummy who died. I think they swapped places." They must be different expressions of the same person because when blue Alice is losing consciousness due to smoke inhalation, red Alice is becoming very tired & losing consciousness also. Jo carries Alice outside to resuscitate her, while red Alice observes some feet away
& talks to Jo. Which one is real? Henry Caldera shifts to Bud in LA, when he approaches the cabin front door & kicks it open. A gun shot is heard, & he's suddenly holding an invisible gun in his right hand. He entered the liminal space of the cabin.
I honestly love Alice. I also just learned she’s played by twins! Can’t wait for the finale.
Angel kneeling painting is now the fourth version of those paintings that we have seen, I had accepted that we were dealing with three existences here… But now it’s four 😅 and Just in case you aren’t convinced, the proof comes at the end in the form of 4 colored balloons 🔴🟡🟢🔵 in Alice’s hospital room.
Great catch!
You need to remember what Henry told Alice: there is a space where one thing can be both black and also be white. So you can't really put everyone in Blue/Red in this episode. This is the episode where they exist in liminal space where things are altered by observation.
I didn’t catch the scene with Bud passed out on ice, thanks for that. I think Henry/bud switch happened when Henry entered the liminal space, observing, near CAL which is activated coupled with Bud’s stress/trauma of shooting Paul
The issue about Jo explaining the CAL device confidently can simply be explained by the discussion she had with Henry. He pretty clearly explained to her what it was for. As for the beginning, discovering matter as "alive and dead" at the same time can absolutely be matter in a different state. It also is potsntially just a quick and simple means to explain to a child.
Also, if i remember correctly from the earlier episodes, its not 100% clear that everyone knoes exactly what the research of the CAL is for. So thats also something to think about but ill need to watch the first couple episodes again.
I’m completely confused and my brain hurts. I need a white board and some type of visual. Red yarn would help too!😮
There is a reason the CAL is there. Henry's proximity to that is the driver of the switch back. But then how did Henry switch in the first place? I am confused, but enjoyed the episode, especially the use of the tape recorder.
We all know that setting up the mystery is always easier than resolving it. But I for one am hoping the last episode sticks the landing satisfactorily. Ghost Valya freaked me out no end!
I’ve realy enjoyed the show thus far too but this episode had my head spinning but possibly another version of me gets it. I also predict it’s going to be another one of those lost endings left to our own interpretation, lets hope we’re wrong, love your input though, thanks, nice energy
Stay in the damn cabin, Carl!
I think red Jo understands what the cal is because blue Jo does too. Same way red Jo couldn't play the Piano in her own red dimension, but could play in blue dimension.
This seems to be conclusion a lot of people are coming to.
However, Blue Jo is the one that said the CAL is looking for a new state of matter. So… 🤷♂️
That not entirely wrong, isn’t it?
In episode 4, Henry took Jo into his office, where she saw his notes on the board while he was discussing the CAL with her and where she began to understand what the CAL is. From there, she could postulate what the CAL does, based on her own experiences while she's in its presence. Remember, while in the car with Alice, they were able to hear the ghost recordings clearly when Jo placed the tape recorder machine closer to the CAL. She continued to listen to the clear recordings, in the cabin, with the CAL placed right beside the machine. In episode 7, while she was discussing the different experiences that blue universe Alice and her had of the moments leading up to the accident in space, Jo began to work out what the CAL actually does. She's a scientist, so her arriving at those conclusions, on her own, is reasonable.
It just would have been nice to see her connecting the dots along the way. Just a bit sloppy IMO
Not a huge deal, I suppose
@@TheorySmack -- Funnily, I'm usually a bit put out when stories depict characters neatly connecting dots along the way, as it's very rare, in our own lives, that we do so. Often, we have to resort to extrapolation and inference. The more intelligent we are, the more rapidly we can deduce, even when evidence is partial, fractured and/or tangled.
Our girl Jo is "wicked smart." 😉 Her deduction skills are top notch.
One thing no one has discussed (I think I have watched several videos so far) is how or why the dead cosmonaut appears to exist in both universes but Irena only in one. If Irena still lives in the Blue Universe, then how her dead body appears in both?
You know...that's a great question! lol
The body could have switched from red to blue (ie accident happening in red universe first and Cal activation and then body switches to blue?) But then we have Irena and dead cosmonaut in blue universe simultaneously… maybe this works if dead body is in space. Maybe as long as dead body is in space the other could live in own universe (good news for Jo going back to red, bad news for Paul going back to blue).
@@SandyT-qw7fpI agree it could be explained with the CAL activation. In every instance of switching so far the bodies have been in identical locations at the time of switch. In this case Irena was on earth while the body was in space, so maybe no "switch", instead the body just came over
There’s only two realities and then an entangled state. The whole show is the Schrödinger thought experiment the first episode they are in a box in space like the cat in the box. The cal device is like the gas in the box with the cat. When it goes off there is time where jo and Paul are alive and dead at the same time. (Super position)
Are Red Alice and Red Magnus in this liminal entangled space? That painting with the angel is definitely different from the demon they saw when they first entered their cabin
What drives me nuts about this episode is how is Alice putting the puzzle pieces together and Jo who is a scientist sort of oblivious to the facts in front of her.
Yeah…I’ve seen a few people saying this
Jo might be too but she is always with Alice, and imagine her telling her child: „I am a cat in the box!“ or „I am in the wrong universe“. this is a terrible situation to process yourself and then to say to a kid who is alone with you „you are not my child“ -was already tough.
We saw how Alice reacted to it.
That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking!.
Hi, your note at 1:23 where you say she came from a universe where the CAL didn't exist but suddenly knew about it. This is similar to her piano playing in one of the earlier episodes. It seemed that knowledge trickled from one universe to another? If that is true in the show I think it makes the show a little more complicated.
I think the switch happens when they go to a liminal space (no one around like space, everyone around them dead, open sea...) or when they're near the CAL.
This episode reminded me of Silent Hill🤷
You ever watch Dark? That was a difficult show to watch especially between seasons as I forgot certain details and watched a bunch of videos to refresh my memory!
Quick note- the painting at the end is the real (original) Wounded Angel (Blue World), not a hybrid. In Red World it’s The Changeling and in Liminal World(s) it’s either changeling on stretcher or angel in front of fireplace 😮💨
I thought both paintings (angel and changeling) exist in both red and blue universe, they are just on different walls. In the liminal space both paintings are then „entangled“/mixed.
I thought that the switching might be due to death or near-death, so Bud switches to Henry because he had shot Paul, Bud and Henry originally switched due to the crewmates dying, and Blue Jo died and switched her consciousness to Red Jo's body. Paul had the same situation as Jo. It could also be due to liminal spaces since Henry was by the ruined cabin when he switched with Bud. Henry also said earlier that he thinks the CAL is making everything worse, so it could be making people more aware of other realities.
We've just dropped our video, The pictures have been there all along. on the first epiosde around 3 mins 50 second you can see the changling in the kitchen in Blue alice's cabin. It would be interesting to get your thoughts on our theories too.
like i said bfr there are at least 6 universes A, B, C, A', B', C' that have been shown to us since ep1 in alternating scenes that seem at first glance a single running line that is actually fragments of various perspectives in patches
I am blue exhausted and red exhausted too. Is this worth buying the DVD when available?
I think you're spot on, but, I also hope you're wrong about the next episode. To do a show with such complexity involving alternate universes it really has to be extremely well thought out. You can't have mistakes like Jo all of a sudden knowing what the Cal is AND having a completely different explanation of it from another Jo. Each character from each universe needs to be consistent with their reality or it makes it even more confusing than it already is. I hope they do explain everything in the last episode. But, like you I am skeptical I have to admit.
This episode makes me think that there is 2 realities. What we thought as more realties was only snippets, bridges that don't last were the two worlds meet ? (like where the convo between the two girls happen)
My question is, who saved the other alice from the locked cupboard? If i recall, Joe saved the one alice, but the her Alice was already out side. Who saved her, or am i missing something? 🤔
... live cat, dead cat... this while Alice doesn't live here anymore... 😀
I think Jo will return to her timeline (dead body) and will be the one unlocking the mechanism for both her and Paul. In one episode, Bud is talking to a reporter and there one cosmonaut inside the ISS. Could be Jo “resuscitating”. So many there’s no 3rd reality, just the show runners not telling us there are time jumps in the story.
I think it has to be a traumatic event (with the CAL near) that triggers the "crossover"..
I thought Blue Alice and Joe were in liminal space the yellow midway dimension hence they were pulled back to the blue dimension by the fire? Also, that angel painting wasn't the same in the Red Alice dimension.
Did Red Alice and Magnus cross over into the liminal dimension or is there a fourth dimension? And what happened to the Cal? Did it stay with Henry when he crossed over or does Bud have it? Introducing more than 3 realities really starts to turn this into a bit of a cluster.
@@JMO77UK So liminal space can be two places at once?
I don't think they will wrap this up in the finale, because to my understanding this is a series and not a limited series. So it could very well end on a Cliffhanger and we have to wait 2 years for season 2.
The writers of this show were def watching DARK before writing it. Its not as solid but its an interesting idea for now, hopefully it wont get too convoluted when they introduce time changes(they already did with the clock on the ship) as part of the effects of the CAL
I don’t think we’ll get all the answers in the next episode either, and I don’t think it matters because next week’s episode is marked the “season finale,” not “series finale.” So it shouldn’t need to wrap everything up just yet. Unless it doesn’t get renewed, which would be infuriating.
I feel like it won’t be 😭😭 but for all our sanity, I hope it is.
@@Cloud9crown it’s hard to say, but I have a feeling it will get renewed. It’s almost certainly going to end on a cliffhanger and Apple hasn’t canceled any shows that ended on a cliffhanger unless they both (1) got savage reviews and (2) didn’t build a fan base, and the number of videos (like this one) on RUclips about this show-and the level of activity on the subreddit-tell me its chances are decent.
I could be wrong, but I think the switching you are talking about has to do with proximity to the CAL device. My only problem with that is it doesn't explain how Valya/Irena and Bud/Henry switched back in the 70's before the device existed. and if it's just a matter of going to space that causes it, why is it only happening to some people and not all the crew members?
Yeah…I can’t quite figure this out either
I think Ireena is a ‘doppelgänger’ of the dead cosmonaut that crashed into the space station
I thought the crazy swaps between universes were cos of the CAL and being out on the ice so an open body of water like with the messages?
I love Alice she’s figure it out What’s going on before her mom did. I think but Henry/Bud switch because of the KAL.
I don’t know about that.
Jo had to look after her daughter while trying to figure things out. She cannot just blurt out in front of her all her thoughts and theories as it could truly scare her.
Maybe they will introduce the start of the next season with yellow and green?
the mindfuck of this show continues! lol
switch happens near the CAL?
I don't believe there are 4 realities with 4 cabins. It's likely that the parents are in cabins 1 & 2 with the versions of Alice they each can't see. It's not until Jo crosses over that she sees her new reality's Alice. Each cabin is present in the liminal space, where both Alice's seem to be. Alice 1 goes to cabin 2, while Alice 2 goes to cabin 1. Or am I just losing it?
Why the 2 year gap in what we are seeing? Just curious.
I feel like that has been a continuity error more than anything...but I could be wrong.
Maybe it's a Swedish thing, but they seem to like crawling and running around in the dark and snow a lot! AND (serious question) If the universes overlap, why were the two cabins located in different locations?
Jo knows about the CAL because Henry explained it to her in the ESA lab after she brought it back. Jo says she didn’t know about it before the accident.
If you go back and watch that episode, he doesn’t explain the CAL to her at all
@@TheorySmack well in that case, the explanation is the same as how she can suddenly play a complex piano piece (that hasn’t been explained yet either). Some knowledge seems to seep between each universes version of the person?
I think Fredrich is more like, "don't listen to that crazy skrewed old lump"...
😂
I agree, I think Frederick simply knows that some austronauts go crazy after being in space. So when Henry says „it happened to me“ for Frederick it means „Henry also went crazy after return“.
@@SandyT-qw7fp Yes, exactly what i saw :)
What about the cabin where Alice took a hot bath? It could be a different one from those where the other Alice or Magnus slept. If it were the cabin where the other Alice slept, wouldn't Jo and Alice have woken her up upon arrival? Moreover, if Jo hadn't left the bathroom, would the other Alice who woke up have been able to find them both there? This also suggests that both Alices were in the same cabin at the same time for quite a while. Furthermore, if it were the cabin where Magnus slept, they would have woken him up. Besides, the tub was empty in Magnus's cabin. It's unclear whether the tub was empty in the other Alice's cabin.
Proximity to material (people) from their original universe could cause one of them to switch?
🤷♂️
Clearly Hollywood doesn’t exist in the Constellation universes. If any of the main characters had watched any recent MCU movies, Jo will be like “Oh yea, I’m in the wrong universe!” Since the beginning of episode one.
Did Jo or Magnus put the lantern on the table that fell over? I was under the impression Magnus did it, and caused the fire, not Jo.
It was Jo
I'm so confused, but I love series like this! 4 different dimensions you think? I don't know, 3 or 4? So cool when both Alice's were communicating! What smart little girls, I'm so impressed with them. That painting tho, holy shit! Obviously, it means something....1 more episode! I too hate that kind of ending, we NEED TO KNOW! Who's the showrunner?? Another season maybe?
Probably another season, yeah
I think Henry and Bud switched because of the CAL and the cabin area is some kind of liminal space
Its going to end as confusing as "the changeling" series ended.
It appears that two versions of the same person can't inhabit the same universe. For a switch to happen or for one to materialize in the other's world, the original needs to be dead. Is there a quantum physics equivalent to that? I was thinking matter/antimatter particles instantly annihilating each other but here both don't die, one does.
But the two Alice's were in the same universe a few times.
And what about Bud/Henry?
@@dmytryk7887 yeah. But the time the Red Alice physically appeared before Red Jo she was trying to resucitate Blue Alice allowing her Other to apparate into her native world (Blue).
@@MarianneAngel147 I guess they've never both inhabited the same universe simultaneously. There's been a swap in the penultimate episode, their physical bodies get interchanged not just their consciousness because Henry can't see without his glasses and was struggling to read the address on the envelope. I reckon one has to die for the other to exist or infiltrate the other's world.
Was it just me or has Alice now so finally switched into the other universe she makes a point to say that I am your Alice, I was thinking, maybe the effect just took longer to fully effect her in her as she was affected by the experience, because she was connected on the iPad at the time.
They make a big point that the effect does not want to be seen, and I’m guessing that we can call universe three The Schrodinger Cat universe with things exist in both states of exactly the same time, which was why both Joe and her husband found no one in the cupboards at the time. Because they were both there, and not there exactly the same time. But when they both tried tubes of the effects, that’s why they saw empty cupboards could both hear it through the tape player.
Well, in the final, we gonna learn the truth the big question is how will we leave the series ending will we be stuck knowing that Joecan never go back to her universe, and hopefully I’m right Alice’s did switch but at least mother and daughter will be together but at what cost at this rehabilitation clinic and is the dead cosmonaut right? Will she be able to speak to her dead mother which makes the question how is that possible considering that the body is still in space but then again, according to quantum mechanics, the distance doesn’t matter, they may the evident that time she was in the spacecraft and she was able to go down the corridors see her daughter in that cupboard while we’re gonna have fun with the finale and everything together all going well
Honestly hate shows that keave off in bullshit cliffhangers. I dont need things to be episodic bit season of a series should be able to stand on its own. Also while i am enjoying this season i couldnt ride throigh another one playing out the same way. Kinda like Yellow Jackets. Like how many seasons can you steing your audience along and expect them to keep coming back
So, please someone confirm this but there are actually two paintings at each location? One next to the bedroom door and another one by the table, they all switch.
THIS! Thanks for this, mate. I did notice how in liminal space we see the new one, and it feels like it's through this space that communication between universes happen and consciousness plays a big part. I guess every possibility is available here, but in a limited way (depending on the observer) and this is why there would be parties interested in recruiting/using others to their cause. @@JMO77UK
I agree that I don’t think all of the answers will be coming in the final season 1 (?) episode. Up until episode 6 when it appeared that we were dealing with 2 dimensions that it was simple to follow. But with the introduction of the possibility of multiple dimensions, the story has become difficult to follow with the story jumping around without a central plot holding it together. Constellation has been dropping in the Apple+ charts because it has become too confusing for most people to understand.
Yeah…was hoping it would all come together in the end, but I’m afraid their inability to rein it in is going to alienate viewers.
I've read the Comics and based on the original book... Oh wait, in this universe this is an Apple+ show isn't? Shouldn't said that (?
😂😂😂
Are the writers of all of these time travel or multiple dimensions high on acid? It sure seems like they are.
at t'end all Jo's (1 thru 10+) will have to unite to save the day
This series would run a lot faster if everyone where to just close their eyes while talking to each other.
😆
I just realized Henry killed the man on the ship it just has not happened yet, some of the scenes we have seen are going to be in next season. Henry is stuck in Buds world.
Nah, I think that boat scene has already happened
So many scenes have Jo staring around with her mouth half open, saying nothing 😮 And characters spend SO much time running around calling “Alice, Alice!” Jo is an astronaut, which means she must be highly intelligent, and yet at no point so far has she actually tried to reason out what has happened - despite her awareness of the numerous differences in her life back on Earth. UGH! She stole the CAL, but then just drops it out in the snow. Why? Don’t know. Alice is passed out after inhaling smoke in the cupboard, but then appears out in the snow. How? Don’t know. Magnus (which I’m sure Jo sometimes says as “Mangus”) running around basically doing nothing. ?? I love the setup of this story, but fear it will all run off the rails and end up like “Orphan Black”, which devolved into a ridiculously over complicated mess well before the end.
She is a mother with her child around. I think she does try to reason out what happened to her and her daughter being around means she can’t just discuss all her theories in detail with her daughter. Some of this is scary stuff for adults already
Your theory doesn't hold water because Henry is with Irena and Alice and Jo all the time. Or do you mean at the same time?
Yeah, I meant at the same time.
But also, I agree that my theory is very flimsy. Lol
I could use a tiny wrap up with some linear storytelling
What about the creepy Valya vision?!
That was wild
I'm still curious who undocked Soyuz 1 from the ISS station (because it required two people -- one in the capsule and one in the station). And I'm also curious who locked Alice in the cabinet the first time in episode 7. We never see who it was.
After rewatching episodes 1 and 2, I'm convinced that there's more than just parallel universes. I think that there's time travel. In episode 1 and 2 it's pretty apparent that Jo is time slipping.
No one locked her in the cabinet... The windows are blown out in the cabin, you hear a large gush of wind and the door blows shut.
No more cabin/winter/darkness episodes please.
Guys, Quantum physics is real. But, we humans aren’t that capable to witness it yet.
Just a little example, a coin toss-
If it’s a head in front of you, somewhere in the universe it’s a tail at the same millisecond.
Bud in his shit apartment. Bud on the boat holding it together, then losing it. Henry in charge of the NASA experiment. The odd Henry sat at a computer and looking sinister. Four of Henry/Bud 😂😮🤯
🤞
Omg ... my fav tv show ever.... love from france 🫶🇲🇫
it's a lot of nicely enough acted nonsense. it's not sci fi
I swear i almost threw my remote at the TV... These characters are remarkably stupid 😤🤦♂️
Alice is not stupid. She's actually super smart and mature for a kid, especially in her situation.
