Can You Catch Fish with No Wind? We Predict 2023 World Series Champs
"These are kind of thinning out". Uh. They're in your cooler! Lol
lol. These Oklahoma piranhas are keeping out other fish from growing!
Repulsive
Hear those kids??! That’s what it’s all about!
Absolutely!
All we use is white slabs right now. We bounce them off the bottom. Same at night, but at night shad work a little better under lights.
Been awhile since I’ve night fished. That’s all we did as a kid.
@@BooneBoys lot cooler on the water lol
I know right. We need to start doing that some more.
Do you have a link for those rails? I like the cupholder idea
Order them from here. www.ciscofishingsystemsltd.com
Do you ever eat hybrids? How do they taste? Are they worth trying to catch to eat?
Yes we eat them. They taste fine. The bigger ones are harder to clean because their rib cages are thick and tough. I’d prefer eating a white bass and they are way easier on the electric filet knives.
@@BooneBoys thanks for the reply. Been thinking of getting a setup to go catch some here in Indiana. Doesn’t look like you troll crankbaits to catch them very often from the videos I’ve seen. Any tips on trolling cranks for them? Any favorite crankbaits you have for trolling?
We don’t troll very often but they will hit about anything because they are so agressive. I’d try some umbrella rigs.
Go Cards!!!
Boys had an amazing time!
I'm 78 and live in OKC and want to book guide.
Contact Didier and Sons 580-623-1059 He will get you on some fish!
Please send me the Canton Lake guides info for Sandbass that I saw this morning. Aug 3rd on RUclips.
Didier and Sons 580-623-1059
Bait tank pump sounds like its days are limited. Glad y’all got on them at Canton. Was the lake still way up like during the rodeo or lower? Also any luck for walleye this time of year or better to wait until it cools off?
Ha ha. Yea the pump is done. Just got some more in this morning AND redid the filtration system. So I’m really looking forward to trying it out again. I’m not sure about the walleye. I’d think it would be a night bite right now.
Wow great action!!! You guys are destroying the white bass. 😮 Keep the videos coming. We love them. Is it OK to use the shad even if they loose some scales? When I catch my shad they loose scales.
Are you putting salt in the water?
@@dave0366 yes 3 cups for my 30 gallon tank.
Yes they lose schools from the cast net. Once they get in the tank the salt water will harden them up.
Nice work!
Let's go!!
@@proximabear1432 still waiting on the show! 😁
😂😂😂
Awesome video!!! I love catching those hybrids I fish for them at Lake Belton here in Central Texas
Thanks. We appreciate it!
I follow your videos, trying to learn hybrids, how big are your egg sinkers?
@@letsgofishingntx 1-2oz depending on wind. 1.5oz is a good all around size. Thanks for watching and following us!
Which lake?
Fort Cobb
It seems most of your videos you find them right on the bottom, do you ever find them suspended? Ive figured them out this year on my home lake, they are always suspended over deep water, never really see them anywhere near bottom. Also how much would a 27”-28” hybrid weigh in your area?
Most of the time they are on bottom, but depends on water temps. Yesterday they were suspended which is not normal, but every lake is different. 27” could be 9.5-12lb probably.
@@BooneBoys thanks
Another great video!! Getting brave suiciding with those big ole shad. lol lol
Ha ha. Tonight we pullled some big cats. I’m more concerned about the plastic Attwood pole holders. They moan every time a big hybrid bass turns the pole sideways.
Ok, I need in on this action!
Sounds good!
I see an epic episode in the making! Houston would have a blast!! 🎣
Every time I see a Boone Boys video pop up in my feed, I click and watch it. Hope it helps RUclips show your stuff to more people.
Thanks! We really appreciate it. It definitely helps out a lot.
When you have to “look” for fish, what are you looking for? Lake points, structure or just drive around in open water looking for fish? All your graph shots looks like flat bottom.
@@Lloydc30 typically it’s a flat off of some sort of a drop. Now this might be a 2’ or whatever foot drop. They don’t typically stay on the slope of a drop off. I think of them like sharks that are constantly roaming and need some space to hunt.
How long are your rails on the front of your boat? 12"?
They are 18” in the front.
That's awesome!! You guys slaughtered them!! Were you guys using the thumper as well or only the splasher?
Only the splasher. Not common in the summer so we use the thumper. We are mostly in less than 20’ where we are fishing. If they were deeper than 30’, we’d probably use it.
@@BooneBoys do you see any difference with the splasher? I bought one as well but haven't used it much. Idk if it really does anything
Yes it works. I’d like to have two of them, one for front of the boat. Helps keep them around you longer and bring them in if they are close.
@@BooneBoys ok I have to give it a try. I have a question if you go to any new body of water. From your experience in the summer. Where are the key places you find hybrids and whites?
Tough to say, but I usually look for pinch points on the flats or places that look like they would have space to hunt bait. But I go really shallow and then move deep to see where most of the fish are generally at to have a starting point. If you don’t see fish deep then don’t be surprised to see them really shallower than one would think.
“We do not leave fish to look for fish.” Now what Sooner lake video have we heard that in before? 😅 Seriously tho, good video! Glad you got on some and that you can help out some people in need. I’ve been getting better at cast netting shad, should have my bait tank in two weeks. In the meantime I’ve been crushing crappie & sandies live-lining minnows.
Ha ha. It’s in my nature to leave to find something better. Glad you’re getting it down and the bait tank will be really nice addition to Sheila.
Love your videos, where do you fish?
We are in western Oklahoma.
Like Paw Paw says….4pm bite👍
Anything that keeps him from getting up at 3:45am he’s all about! 😂
Great trip! Still in hurricane recovery mode. Got our homestead almost back but the constant rain has slowed us down. Next week will be the beach house! But I'm fishing on Monday! Lake Somerville is a couple feet over full pool, so they are releasing water. So I'm headed to the tail race for some Hybrid action!
Man that’s wild. Sorry to hear about all that. If only a little bit of that rain would move north to us.
Nice fishing trip. I love those crazy fishing days with my girls.
Great memories for sure!
@@BooneBoys yes sir.
Get Uncle Barry out there again soon!!
A lot of those were hybrids
Texoma has striped bass and white bass but no hybrid bass. Some striped bass have broken lines and look like hybrid bass from the stripes. The lines can full a person. I’ve caught hybrid bass with nearly no line breaks as well.
Do you ever fish for wipers at night?
Not often.
Fished through the rain Saturday morning on Liberty. Got soaked to the bone (phone just tried to autocorrect that to Boone 😂) but caught a mess of crappie and sandies using minnows on a drop shot. Also tossed around my cast net and got a bunch of gizzard shad as a first for me. I’m ready for a bait tank now.
@@Charles_And_Christina_H once you go live you’ll never go back! Or your kids won’t let you because they catch too many fish.
@@BooneBoys agreed 100%. However, in defense of artificial lures I will point out that despite our pickled blue shad fiasco we did pretty good on Sooner, especially for the white perch.
Sooner has tons of white perch
@@johnjerome5808 oh we got on them last weekend. Was out there with them and had a blast.
Papa is "Smokin' James!"😅😅😅😅
Doesn’t happen often so I’ll give it to him this time!
Finally found smaller shad in Fort Cobb cove this morning around the boat ramp all the way over to the east where the gravel ramp is. Just if we could have caught hybrids. 😆 just a few drum this morning.
We were all over the drum yesterday. Can’t remember when drum were so thick. You’re not alone trying to find the hybrids right now.
I was out there yesterday, i saw you guys. I had zero luck yesterday I thought they would hit before the storm hit.
It was tough yesterday. Only found schools of drum.
Good video! Thanks.
Great video! What did you sprinkle in the bait tank?
Thanks! We put in Salt and Bait Saver.
Love a lazy day watching your channel!
Are y’all on oolagah? Because I caught a walleye last night below the dam there
This was on Foss lake in western Oklahoma.
@@BooneBoys ah , it looked very similar initially oolagah lake. Thank you
Nice work. I’m a big fan of your content. If you ever want to fish hybrids or paddlefish in SW MO I’d be happy to hook you guys up. Keep hammering them!
Thanks we appreciate the offer. Might do that sometime.
Your videos are great thanks!
Thanks for watching!
I wondered aat first whether the deer could smell human on the acorns because they'd been picked up where as the corn in mechanically bagged. Which brings me to my question. What is it your calling 'corn'? Maize 🌽 (Sweetcorn in the UK) or is it grass (wheat/corn) 🌾seed?
Try the R 12 Rapala it’s by far the best and the triggered to make the blades work is where your thumb set so you’re pushing the engage plus a little bit of pressure but you do not have to apply much pressure at all with that rapala R2 I’ve used Bubba I’ve used the Basspro I’ve used old timer the Rapala R2 is by far the best
Need to try that one out. Thanks for info.
Hahaha I like it when you just looked at the sun and said you would have 30 - 45 minutes to fish.
WTG guys! My grandson is on a 47' Freeman with 4 450hp engines on it. They are headed out to fish for Yellowfin tuna! Im stick repairing fence, cutting up a tree so i can fix that fence and running down to the coast to clean up and repair my boat shed. This is the first time my 25' SeaCraft and sat out in the sun! Roof is gone...nowhere to be found! Hurricane Beryl did a number on us!
Hey man see you in the comments a lot. Sorry you took a direct hit and what happened to your boathouse. Just glad you're alright.
@Charles_And_Christina_H First the blew the doors open, so the roof is gone! Then the neighbors boat shed came apart. He houses a 36 foot Yellowfin in it. The wall closest to my shed fell against the side and broke one weld at the roof. Bent the sheet metal up quite a bit. The rest of his shed wrapped around mine. My boat didn't get a scratch. House lost a few windows.OK. ice machine some how got blew out the wall in the downstairs area.Other than that everything was ok.
That’s wild. People ive talked to in Hurricane country are more scared of tornados, but I’d be more afraid of hurricanes.
Awesome content! Always appreciate the useful tips. Was there yesterday same problem shad was huge but caught a few hybrids. Shoulders still hurt from throwing that 9’ bait buster net😂looking for small shad.
lol. I hear you. Right now my left arm is hurting a bit from casting. I did find some small bait on last trip. I had to go to an area with a lot of shallow and they were roaming in there.
Great to see the kids enjoying the water!
