It was 74 today on my SE Texas Hybrid lake. The bite was slow compared to last week. Last week, as soon as you clicked the reel in gear, you had one. The water temp was lower 70's... Last week the lake was glass just like it was for you guys. But today winds were were supposed to be around 5mph...actual wind was more like 10 to 15mph! Last three weeks I've been tearing up the Hybrids.
AH Man! Hit an East Texas lake yesterday, Dec. 17th, and it was like glass, NO WIND at all! We used BladeRunner jigs and MAL Lures and caught only ONE white bass for the whole day. The previous day, 10 mph and folks were burnin'em up! Tough bite, yesterday, but OMG what a picture perfect day on the water. Enjoying your videos. Best temps I've had luck with is around 62F with yesterday's water temp running 58F.
@@wyldbill100 we love ours too. We should take more time to shine it up, but we would just get it back dirty again. I really want to polish the outside sometime this next summer.
@@BooneBoys , got a "new-to-me" 2008 Triton 21X2 w/ 250 Merc. back in August (Sparkle silver w/ yellow trim). Retooling her with a Thumper box and a transom mounted Minn Kota Endura Max 45 (a bit overkill me thinks) to be used for a Splasher. (Waiting for them to arrive). My LiveScope and Garmin Force were fighting against each other but a quick order to DD26 and their Live Foot solved that issue. Hopefully now, I can start putting some footballs in the boat. I use an SPTA Orbital polisher and then do my after trip wipe downs with LUCUS Slick Mist. As the season progresses, I will update you with water temps as experienced but I do also know that there is a website for Richland Chambers which is where I normally fish. My BIL and I would LOVE to try out Texoma at some point. You in yours and me in mine, sounds fun! Would be happy to return the favor, also.
