I've never done any jug lining, I guess I'm nothing but a rod-n-reel guy!
Almost made some a couple years ago. At the time the was to set the "jugs" out then rod-n-reel for the day then pull them at the end of the day.
Once I changed lakes to the SE Texas lake that is actually closer to my house, the catfishing is so good I forgot about "jugging"!
Great fun camping out and eating fresh fish!
I’d rather catch them with rod and reel, but it’s a fast way to catch fish. And the boys really love pulling them in by hand. But we are going to try and catch some big cats this year drifting.

Where I live, in Indiana, you're only allowed 5 jugs with 1 hook, and they have to be in view at all times. There's no leaving them overnight and checking them in the morning. 😢 That kinda spoils it in my opinion.
Yea you might as well throw out poles with those rules. I guess some states you can use one or 2 poles, which I don’t like either. Oklahoma you can use 7 rods! I’d rather give a kids more rods and put limits on video games.

It’s amazing how much life that lake has. Go to Foss lake and you might see a couple of seagulls.

I got the net at Lee Fisher International. If you can throw a net well, I’d go with an 8’ or 9’ because it’s a light net.

Nice haul there, James. Glad bite is starting to change a bit. Where was this? Your usual of Lake Fort Cobb or were y’all on a road trip elsewhere in the state?
We opted for Fort Cobb since Texoma was slow.
this type of fishing is illegal in michigan.
Fishing rules get pretty tough further north you get.
