I absolutely love that you worked harder to get the fish back in the water than you did to get your picture with it. That is outstanding, and you are a legend for it. Great work!
You're one helluva guy! I wish everyone would take pictures them turn them back in! Just so another (maybe a kid) so they could have the experience of a lifetime! You seriously are ones of the good ones and of be more than happy to fish with you anytime!
You are a wonderful man and someone allot could learn from. I see so many keeping fish just to selfishly hang on a wall. I'm no save the animals person but I am a "throw it back so hopefully someone else can have the forever memory" that you just had. Hell it could be even bigger by then! What if it's some 13 or 14 year old kid who every week just waits for the weekend for him and his best friend to fish everyday until Sunday night (my childhood). What if that kid gets lucky enough to hook it and even luckier to land it people don't realize how much joy that memory will bring you the rest of your life because I can damn sure remember all of my "monsters" from when I was a kid (to me most of them were even though the right term would be average lol). So anytime I see someone who throws the monsters back without a second thought I always have to say.."thank you" because the kid still inside of me is also thankful just the same!
We as humans are responsible for the conservation of our waters and land. Would love to see a kid catch that fish next time. Any fish over 15lbs goes back in the water. After 15 lbs the only predators to them are humans. Glad you like the content!
I us to fish with an old SGMajor who was a catfishing master he wouldn’t throw one back to save himself ! Really was. Nice to see you release that old gentleman, he was probably older than you . Looked like great fun ,congrats to ya !
Chances are it was older than me and I'm almost 35. It's very important to release the big breeders. The more they weigh the more eggs they produce which means higher fry survival rates which means more good genes put back in the water. Anything over 15 lbs that can sustain itself and has a undoubtedly chance to grow into a trophy I release. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Mad respect you have for those dinosaurs. I appreciate you putting them back. I hope one day your actions let my nephews see what catching fish feels like.
Incredible, been watchin you for a while and that fish right there is an awesome welcoming back for you after your eye problems. great work man well deserved!! 👍
Its been a grind and I had a good feeling that day everything was just adding up to the possibility of a big one, so I committed to a spot i was confident in. It paid off haha. Thanks for sticking around brother!
What a fish buddy I think I might have been just as excited from the seat of my truck as I was watching ya land that big boy. Yea man big congrats thanks for sharin
We pull flatheads like that out of the Osage river regularly. We seem to have an abundance of these century old monsters in the river around here. Last year my son landed a 103-pound female. He was ecstatic. He also put her back and watched her swim away. She was a beast of a flathead.
This was a blue catfish we don't have flatheads that big here. I'm also guessing you're in Missouri. The Missouri state record flathead is 77 lbs. At 103 that was most likely a blue. Only a few states have even seen a 100+flathead. Great fish tell him I said congratulations
Congratulations my friend!! The only problem I would love to have out on the water is bringing one to the boat that I can't pick up!! Just awesome man and congratulations once more!
That rod looks like a real workhorse! I see the links in the description, thank you, I’m looking for a few new rods for some old 6500c3’s my uncle left me when he passed away. Beautiful work, new sub, heading to the boat video next, just saved an old Lund 14 from being scrapped, payed $20 for the thing. Can’t wait to start building a deck and a few compartments, maybe a 20 gallon live well. I like your stern rod rack. Thanks for sharing, keep it up!
I’m just north enough that I don’t have the blues. Took my kayak down to the Ozarks a few years ago where I could finally target them. Caught local bait, mostly gills, but the only thing they bit was chicken. Strange. My best was only 1/10th of the beast you wrangled. Rock on, brother, happy for you on that one!! Thanks for sharing 🤘🏻Let’s go Brandon!!
I'm fortunate to live in the middle of some great fisheries that hold some big fish. I've caught them on chicken when bait was hard to come by. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the kind words. And yes, let's go me 😂
I asked you yesterday how you liked the piscifun, I see now . I fish in the St Lawerence river in Quebec, and while we only have channels for cats, we also have Lake sturgeon that can reach over 100 lbs. This reel looks perfect for the job at such a low price . Amazing catches by the way, that 90lb is a freaking monster ! Subscribed, keep up the great content
Nice, I was waiting for you to comment lol. I'm definitely sold on Piscifun now. It was a monster, with an extra set of hands I could have got him on my shoulder. slippery devils haha
I watched this last night on TV. Can't comment on there. Those were golly whoppers dude! I doubt I'll ever catch a near record near 100 # catfish. Just incredible! I love your channel man. Thanks for sharing this with us. Take care.
I'm glad you enjoyed the vid and glad you love the channel bud. And they sure were. You might one day. I said the same thing. Thanks for sticking around during my downtime
I keep some small ones from time to time. Some friends and I do eat catfish, but anything 15lbs and up go back in the water to grow bigger. Glad you liked the video!
World record now is 143 they can get bigger. I'm sure they can get to 200 with the right food supply. Maybe bigger. Anything over 15 lbs is always released. Glad you enjoyed the video glad to have you!
