That was an incredible day and worth remembering. Great weather in the 80s, sun wasn't on us, and the bite was solid. Watching the lake boil white perch was an experience. They don't always run water but when they are it's usually a good sign for the bite. Thanks again for letting me tag along with you and your boys and coming this far out of your way to visit a new lake. Hope we can do it again in the fall when the bite is berserk.
@@BooneBoys key lessons for next time: 1, let us not pickle our shad blue with tank treatment. 2, let us refill the boat gas tank before departing the ramp.
Nice work. I’m a big fan of your content. If you ever want to fish hybrids or paddlefish in SW MO I’d be happy to hook you guys up. Keep hammering them!
WTG guys! My grandson is on a 47' Freeman with 4 450hp engines on it. They are headed out to fish for Yellowfin tuna! Im stick repairing fence, cutting up a tree so i can fix that fence and running down to the coast to clean up and repair my boat shed. This is the first time my 25' SeaCraft and sat out in the sun! Roof is gone...nowhere to be found! Hurricane Beryl did a number on us!
@Charles_And_Christina_H First the blew the doors open, so the roof is gone! Then the neighbors boat shed came apart. He houses a 36 foot Yellowfin in it. The wall closest to my shed fell against the side and broke one weld at the roof. Bent the sheet metal up quite a bit. The rest of his shed wrapped around mine. My boat didn't get a scratch. House lost a few windows.OK. ice machine some how got blew out the wall in the downstairs area.Other than that everything was ok.
I typically don’t use them in the summer. If you have deep water they are holding up in, I’d probably use them. But where I’m at in the summer it’s typically less than 25’
About 60 degrees or so in the summer. You don’t want to make it too cold, then they will be in shock hitting the lake and kind of freeze up and look dead. Then usually perk up in 10 seconds or so. Don’t know anybody that’s done that, just heard 🤣
White perch tacos are amazing
Nahhh .. your moms taco is even more amazing.

Hey man see you in the comments a lot. Sorry you took a direct hit and what happened to your boathouse. Just glad you're alright.

That’s wild. People ive talked to in Hurricane country are more scared of tornados, but I’d be more afraid of hurricanes.
Yall hammered them, I’ve never seen a side scan loaded like that before.
@@FreshwaterSouL me neither. There were tens of thousands of those little white perch around us.
@FreshwaterSouL That day was worth returning for.
@@Charles_And_Christina_H Absolutely 👍
Are thumpers very useful in the summer?

The white pearch are fun i use subikie rigs
I should’ve tried it. Bet we would’ve gotten 2-3 at a time.
What temperature do you try to keep your shad?

It’s not hard to catch shad at sooner
@@johnjerome5808 it didn’t seem like it but I talked to numerous people that said you couldn’t. Can’t believe everything you hear.
I’ve been fishing that lake since the 80’s could always find shad must have just missed u guys we got em like crazy on the mud line
Y’all can catch 1000s of white perch in 1 hour lol
I’m a believer. Can’t think of any fish as small, numerous, and aggressive in freshwater.
Didn't make the final cut but when James was throwing around his cast net actually caught a ball of juvenile white perch. Amazing day overall.
