It’s been amazing getting on bait. We are going to start using it for crappie coming up. Should be a lot of fun.

Really glad you showed this. I commented on another video asking if you had to add rope to get down to 40ft.

I haven’t taken the time yet, but I need to use a smaller rope for the additional rope line and take away the knot on there. It gets caught up just enough to make it annoying.

@@BooneBoys that makes sense. You also who the webbing at the bottom. I think there are some videos on RUclips about adding that on to an existing net. Some even use duct tape!

    James, the real questions is....
Did you catch any Hybrids with those shad?😊
I'm guessing this was bait for the Blue Cat Trip!?!?

Only for blue cats. We tried for maybe 30 minutes to catch some bass, but we didn’t get anything and went on for the catfish.

We went last Tuesday Feb 6th.
Our water is so messed up right now in SE Texas the fish have no idea what to do!
Because of the drastic temp change, 45 degrees then flooded with 60 Degree rain water.
40 to 50 foot of water might still be 45 degrees. While the surface is 60+ degrees.
With the water temps, possible huge difference in as the water gets deeper. I'm again not trusting my depthfinder tune. Using auto gain is a real waste of time. I tried "high auto", "med auto" and "low auto". Every setting indicated tons of fish and bait...until you stopped, then the screen would go blank.
When I set it at 50% gain it would show plenty of bait school at 15 and fish on bottom from 20 feet down to 30 feet.
Tried everything I had in the boat and between my buddy and I we caught 6 fish! 5 cats and one Gou!
We had very few bites that didn't hook up, none felt like it might have been Hybrids!
More rain and highs in 70's for at least the next 10 days. Looks like winter is gone.
Boat ramp was loaded with boats Tuesday too, but no one is talking about catching anything!

That’s better than most people are doing right now! So nice work. I haven’t put in a ton of time looking for bass, but it’s been tough the little I’ve gone after them.

What’s the regs on the nets in Oklahoma lol I didn’t know there were any 😮

Can’t use larger than 3/8”. I think it’s a bad law. Should allow at least 1/2”
