This past Saturday morning I was trout fishing , had my limit of 4 in about 30 minutes along with a 27” slot red . I went back in the afternoon and landed the biggest red of my lifetime. A 46” red on a 3000 okuma reel with 10lb kastking braid and 12lb yo Zuri shot line on a popping cork. I just couldn’t believe it, would love to send you some photos . besides bait jumping, I look for bird activity above, oil slicks from torn up bait by larger fish and always look for patches of grass. fish are opportunist and love to hide in grass waiting for smaller fish to swim by. also, after a barometric change from high to low, like after a storm comes through, that tends to wake up the fish to gorge themselves. seen it!

That's awesome...I love fishing...I once "caught" a flounder on Sandy Hook NJ, by walking down the beach during low tide, flowing towards and turning to High tide with a good twenty mile an hour NE wind blowing from the ocean, as the waves crashed on the beach and the wind was gusting, a flounder about 12 inches long flew straight across my face and landed on the beach about 8 feet above the sea floor, as the dry beach and the low tide beach were amazingly that far in elevation...I never saw a beach like that, and I've never seen a fish fly out of a crashing surf like that either!!
I threw that lucky fella back into the churning waves...Hah hah hah!
