Well done man. I live in Largo and fish the Belaire Causeway bridge from a kayak for snapper a lot. I like to cast right up against the concrete bridge pylons, within 1 foot. Live bait is a great option, I like throwing the cast net and always take live bait out with me. That said, bigger pieces of frozen sardines work really well too. It puts a lot of scent in the water and most of the bigger snapper and grouper I've caught were on frozen sardines. Keep it up!
Thanks. I do the same when I take the kayak out at gandy. Summer is the best for snapper but sudden storm can show up out of nowhere so I havent taken the kayak out lately. Live bait is always best, but I've used fresh cut bait before too, and it worked well. I have not fished in the Bellaire causeway bridge. I passed by there a lot when I went to Sandkey for Pompano. I'll stop by and check out the area next time. 😁
Hey Duey, enjoy your video’s, thanks for sharing. I know what you mean about losing tackle, but that’s where the Snappers are. I also had to find different spots this year compared to last year. Keep the video’s coming, love watching them. 👍
@vickiandmarv hopefully, we'll get more snappers around the bridges in the next few months! thanks for watching. I'll film more snappers videos for you guys!
This is pathetic. You caught one 10 inch Snapper and lost a lot of rigs. Put away your GoPro, get a job and save up for a boat. Every one of you guys that has a rod and reel wants to be famous. And y'all always want to tell where you fish. And by the way, Fort DeSoto has 3 bridges. You probably never thought about 2 of them.
I doubt I get famous for this but this is my legacy. Something for my kids or even grand kids to watch long after I'm gone. Why so much hate in you?! Thanks for commenting.
In my opinion, bridges hold fish, so this spot is no secret 😅. Mangrove Snappers are abundant in our area. You don't have to worry about running out of fish for you to catch! 🤣👍
If you have any questions or comments, please post them below! Thanks!
Let’s go fishing’s soon brother!
@ABFishin Where do you fish?

What live bait do you use? And are you talking about the bridge next to the boat launch? New to the area
@Topgear.filmer I used the bait I showed at the beginning of the video, mojarras. Yes, thats the bridge.
I love the music you used in this video!!!❤
@@victorlittle-gutierrez8657 Thanks.
Very informative video. I will be hitting that bridge soon, thanks!
Thanks. Good luck!
This is exactly why you don't give spots away.
good snapper action👍🏻
Thanks! 😁
Keep up the vids man!
Thank you!
Was that a circle hook?
Yes
Hello, where do you get that live bait? I go with sweet potatoes and only take small ones
You find them on sandy areas of the flats, they love sandy bottom near shore. Do sweet potatoes really work as bait? 🤣
Could you please list the musical artists or name of songs.
I'm sorry. I don't remember the names. I deleted the folder after I compiled the video.
Where can I catch the Mojarras?? I have been searching everywhere
They are usually on sandy bottom, like the beach. I'll do a how to video on catching mojarras on my next snapper fishing trip. 😀
@@TampaBaySaltwaterFishing please do. I have a hard time finding them as well. I maybe get 1 at times 2 per cast net..keep it up and great vid!
@ShinkiZer0 Thanks. Will do!

Stop blasting fishing spots

Everyone knows about bridges, and this bridge goes to a state park in the area. Gets a lot of traffic. This isn't like a secret spot. LOL
