FULL MOON Daytime Mangrove Snapper Fishing | South Florida Saltwater Bridge Fishing
In this video, I fished for Mangrove Snappers during the full moon phase in the daytime at Fort Desoto Park bridge. There are a variety of fish ranging from Speckled Trout, Ladyfish, Flounder, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Jack Crevelle, Spanish Mackerel, and the highly sought after Florida Pompano can be caught here. The bait I used in this video is the Mojarra, excellent bait for Mangrove Snappers.

And y'all always want to tell where you fish. And by the way, Fort DeSoto has 3 bridges. You probably never thought about 2 of them.

I use an 8ft net with 3/8" mesh. It's a bit heavy after about 7 casts. 3/8" mesh net will catch you the baits! Im glad you enjoyed the video and thanks watching! • @Nathan_W63
    @Nathan_W63 2 месяца назад

    Well done man. I live in Largo and fish the Belaire Causeway bridge from a kayak for snapper a lot. I like to cast right up against the concrete bridge pylons, within 1 foot. Live bait is a great option, I like throwing the cast net and always take live bait out with me. That said, bigger pieces of frozen sardines work really well too. It puts a lot of scent in the water and most of the bigger snapper and grouper I've caught were on frozen sardines. Keep it up!

    • @TampaBaySaltwaterFishing
      @TampaBaySaltwaterFishing 2 месяца назад

      Thanks. I do the same when I take the kayak out at gandy. Summer is the best for snapper but sudden storm can show up out of nowhere so I havent taken the kayak out lately. Live bait is always best, but I've used fresh cut bait before too, and it worked well. I have not fished in the Bellaire causeway bridge. I passed by there a lot when I went to Sandkey for Pompano. I'll stop by and check out the area next time. 😁
