    great video as usual man! you are dead on about the filters, it makes a huge difference. I cut about 4 new filters before I go fishing and change the filter about every hour and aa half to 2 hrs. this has made keeping them alive longer much easier. Oh yeah one tip for ya Hagen, I started using those ammonia bags, there cheaper and there reusable and seem to work a little better, just something you might want to try. I gotta get me a bigger net, im one of those that throws a net till im wore out before I get enough bait,lol. man your videos are awesome and informative keep em coming. you might do a video on how you throw that big of a net if you get time. thanks brother.

    Catching and keeping live bait is one of those things where perseverance pays off. For those of you just getting started with it, don't get so frustrated you just give up. Keep at it and it will get easier, and even then you will still have days that you will struggle to fill the tank. The number one easiest way to catch bait is to use an underwater light at night. This brings the bait to you, so you're not our searching for it!

      ... Correct. Most TV shows only want to sell you the latest, "Got to have", crap and don't really teach the viewer anything. Bunch of hooping and hollering when they catch a fish with background music that is TOO LOUD. Most of the are terrible.
      .
      I remember decades ago when I was totally new and getting into bass fishing. Orlando Wilson was fishing a Texas rigged worm in about 12' of water. He cast it out and talked to the camera/viewers what he felt every step of the way as it sunk to the bottom, reeled it up a little, crawled it over a log, let it sink, hopped it, everything. He was actually teaching (a newbie like me in the 80's) exactly what to feel for and what a bit would feel like. 👍

    Your Crocs are sexy. Do you ever wear camouflage Crocs? I think they help hide your feed from the fish, but some people call me crazy. BTW, whats a shad? I thought that was a country in Africa. Hey, who shot that aerial shot of the bank with the drone, that was amazing! I went back and watched that 3-4 times, so you might see a spike in your analytics....

    • @hagengrubbsfishing
      @hagengrubbsfishing  4 года назад

      The camo crocks definitely work. I catch twice as many fish with them on. A shad is a fish but it’s not very good bait unless you soak it in strawberry jello. the aerial shot I stole from some famous RUclips guy but I can’t remember his name. Hopefully he doesn’t see this a report me.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣thanks for the drone footage brother👍
