One thing I dont get is why they spec 165mm cranks on the Large? You don't mind that? I am 185cm as well and with my inseam I am bang on for 175mm cranks...

Hoenstly the prices for the boxxer nowadays are crazy. Remember when you could get an entry level boxxer for around 700€. Now the Select has retail price of 1600€. And its not like lap times were halved in that time.

I hope I didn’t make a bad choice. I purchased this bike online today. It’s the 2024 version with rockshox 180mm Zeb single crown fork, and 190mm rear Super Deluxe Coil Ultimate DH. Norco has a new redesigned V3 idler that fixes the chain problems falling off. They will also send you the v3 idler for free if you email. I read a few reviews that were all positive once the v3 idler was installed, no chain falling off anymore. I’m planning on using this for bike parks that have lifts to the top, and fast mostly smooth flowy trails for 2 miles downhill very little pedaling. Hopefully it works out for me.

Great to have the video content back! Probably my favorit bit, especially when you do slightly "controversial" products/topics. Kinda want to hear your take on the Cotic e-bike for example... But, if nothing else, the Obsys looks amazing, and a great add on to the Radical Replica.

From my own experience and my local suspension specialist advice I crossed BOS until they improved parts availability and potential for self service but they are very high quality products, I'd be curious to open the Idylle my friend was supposed to get one but the axle to crown length is pretty short, too short for what he wanted...

So overall it seems like a lot of effort for a fork with potential quality control issues, heavy weight and a history of massive customer service issues which seem to only have been partially resolved to now be on a barely acceptable level. I really wish BOS would get their shit together so we have another serious player in the market, but so far this fork has to do absolute miracles on the trail to justify the drawbacks. Looking forward to a more detailed review from Paul.

Is the bushing play really a standard feature and found on every fork, or doe sit have to do with the non standard stanchion tubes? Because bushing play imho is a pretty big nogo these days imho.

Is it supposed to be the latest version? I mean, did they change anything compared to the one released 2 or 3 years ago? And more importantly: how does it ride?

BOS are a company that shouldn't be trusted. 10 years ago I bought a fork and rear shock off them only to find no one in the UK would service them and I got zero support from BOS. I tried emailing them over 10 times and never got a reply, they'll happily sell you their products but when it comes to servicing your left on your own. If you want high end suspension go for Intend as Cornelius will reply to your queries and you can get them serviced.

it makes no sense that banshee doesn't make a mullet,banshee is losing sales,i know because i would have just purchased one until i realized there is no designed mullet option,wake up banshee,474mm chainstays are on the outer limit of what works on a wide variety of tracks.Just redesign to allow rider to choose either wheel size,its not complicated,sales will increase and the bike will show up at more races.
