    Dude, I just watched this and your video on alexithymia, what a one-two punch! Basically, I'm the timid guy and my girlfriend fits the alexithymia description pretty well. I've noticed early on that the best I can do is living my life fully. It's amazing how well she can sense my state of mind. When I'm fulfilled and centered everything is smooth and she can open up quite well. When I'm not, talking to her is incredibly hard. Everything is long winded and intellectualised or she gets angry and critical. But I'm starting to get the hang of it and I think she's improving too. I deeply love her and want the best for her/us but it's often very challenging. It felt good to have that be acknowledged here, thanks.

U Said Be Strong Hearted, Do Ur Own & Keep Distances Frm Them Bt, U Can't Do This Wth Ur Partner When U're In Relationship Wth This Mentally/Emotionally Broken Person! Right? This's Not A Healthy Boundaries Btwn Couples/Can't Grow Bond For Long-term & Also Result In End-Up Being Parted... At The End It May Cause Harm/Hurts & Emotional Damages For That Strong & Healthy Person Coz, NEGATIVITY HAS MORE POWER TO BREAK SOMEONE THAN BUILD UP A PERSON'S MENTAL STATE POSITIVELY!

I knew there was something wrong with me for as long as I can remember. Non-existent confidence, can't seem to get moving in life and do the things I actually want, very hard to get out of adolescent habits. But I've managed to heal quite a bit, it is possible. Bodywork therapy helped me a lot, can recommend if that's an option where you live. Stay strong!

    I became aware of BPD after my last ex left with a new guy after 2years of chasing me. I felt overly lovebombed and she was always trying to help me, even though I knew she herself had deeper problems and would often talk about the traumas in her upbringing. I've found what made the relationship so hard to break for me, was how she made me feel really special, she seemed to overvalue my good traits and made me feel seen and appreciated, however it was also to the point of unreality, I became enmeshed in her fantasy thinking. She was overly empathic in terms of seeing and helping others in need, yet also clearly needy herself, which would show in behaving harshly at times. She said she couldn't feel her body suffered anxiety and needed grounding, but was heavily into astrology and could give some striking insights into peoples personalities from only reading their charts or meeting them briefly. Was fascinated by her, but was also overwhelmed, her quick discard threw me for a loop that I'm still trying to recover from.

      thye really enmesh you i their lives..few days into realtionshp and you know everyhting about their past present and about all their family members..they constantly bombard you with love and show how you are the solution to all their problems..this is too much for someone who has never been in reltionship before..and this enmeshes you in their lives..a kind of trauma bonding

    • @L6FT
      @L6FT 2 дня назад

      @@userone1117 Yes it can become a trauma bond when they all of a sudden break off, especially after wanting to share and give everything. The problem I suffered with was that I had felt overwhelmed by her insisting presence, yet also soothed since she wanted to give to me so much, that I held back. When she first pulled away it was a bit of a relief and I found myself wanting to give more. Unfortunately she had already been with another guy, and it was all or nothing for her, so puff she vanished, yet kept reaching out, but couldn't get close again. I became avoidant in that relationship and probably have been for a long time. However I've started becoming aware of my own emotions, thinking more straight and expressing my feelings better, and understanding the story behind them. The same goes for boundaries, becoming better at saying no, and not feel guilty about it, is huge for me. There is so much to uncover when we look into our early traumas and formation of attachment patterns.

  • @L6FT
    @L6FT 3 дня назад

    Yes I came to realise that I needed to shoulder more responsibility and not listen so closely to my mother, but more on what I want for myself. Even though she knows me well, and is probably right, I still need to make, learn and take responsibility for my own mistakes. Now I find her listening to me for insight, after I've had to overcome some deeper seated insecurities.

      I feel for you. It is such a mindfuck when she leaves, but keeps reaching out. She is a chaotic child on the inside and hasn't developed the emotional stability or courage to regulate her emotions and hold accountability. I hope you develop that for yourself. The point is to know accountability to become the adult. Become very clear with yourself, what you want, and what you won't tolerate. You can not change the other person, but you are in charge of your life, how you set boundaries stand up for yourself and handle your own emotions. Don't get suckered in. If she is reaching out, she is investing energy, so the ball is in your court. You gain leverağe if you sincerely know what you want, and can distance yourself if the situation is not aligning with your values. Don't overexplain and don't complain, be direct and authentic. Be honest about which issues you were responsible for, and which she was responsible for, only say sorry from a sincere place. You will have to govern the situation like an adult understand the cardinal virtues practice them in yourself towards your inner child, your emotions, curiosity, compassion, dignity, and Truth...etc. You are the adult, become the honest caring adult towards yourself and the world.

As much of an assertive, courageous, tough, badass motherfucker as he was, he was also nerdy af, goofy as hell, and extremely caring. So don’t limit your role models to people that are masculine in the conventional sense or even limit them to men. Some of my best role models have been women. Whoa. ever since my dad started failing in health 10 years ago and especially after he died in 2019, my mom's expectations of all of the ways that I had to rescue her from her getting her into crises (she's 85.5 and a brittle type 1 diabetic who doesn't take good care of herself) she escalated up more and more to whims and utterly capricious and greedy demands of totally unnecessary things and treating me as both a 24/7/365 caretaker of her ability to live safely in her own separate home _and_ a whole bunch of stuff that's too long to describe but utterly insane - and then she started tantrum- ing and sabotaging and interrupting me at even being able to carry out or complete any one sub-task. I set out to be giving in making sure that my dad and her, and her, could live their final chapters of life in their own home. I never sought to create dependence, but she hoovered me into dependence. The mid part of your video about the bratty malevolent acting out deeply resonates with me. Thank you

    What type of manipulation is this? I could see how this could be a weapon let’s say your woman does everything for you: cook, clean, sex, etc she can pull all of that from you when she gets mad

    Got your video recommended, I can say this channel will explode soon Just 1 thing to add, people like me who are interested in such topics loves to watch a full 20-30 mins episode going into greater depths on such topics. 5 mins videos are too short for me

    I think it's important to approach this in a neutral manner. If you have gone through something difficult in the past, there's no need to gloss over it just to create an image of being likable. Indulging in self-pity or being overly optimistic are not effective coping strategies.
