Not only could you make it yourself, you could probably improve upon it. This is definitely more like a prototype, but still works well enough and the kids who come over find it both cool and creepy. It also would work well if you made a static prop using a mask. Thanks Dan!

@@ScareDad don't underestimate yourself. I never touched epoxy! Yes please do send a sample with speech you would like him ("the animatronic")to say so you can use it on your channel. I just finished another upgrade yesterday so that he can bend over for a bit. This makes the total of servo's I control of 17! All with only one Arduino Leonardo (arduino costs around $11). In my experience, the more parts are moving @ the same time, the more impressive it looks haha!

Home Depot did a limited early release of the Deadwood Inferno Skeleton, Frankenstein's Monster, and the Skelly Dog at the end of April. I had just arrived for the East Coast Haunter's Convention and stayed up almost all night waiting for orders to go live (I think they went live around 6:30am.) They'll have a bunch more in July though. I can't wait to Home Depot's final reveal on their props. Thanks for watching!

I agree that the feel of this lineup is really good this year. I think the most thought was put into the Carnevil props, and while that is not my favorite theme, I do think some of those props are really good (Bobby Strings is currently my favorite of that group.) The oddities are a bit more simplistic in design, but some of those are great props too. Definitely looking forward to seeing the rest of Spirit's catalog and so excited for more info from Home Depot as well. Thanks for watching!

Agreed. Michael Myers should be the easiest animatronic to make, yet they all end up looking awful. The tracking for Michael Myers would be awesome. I think it would be more effective and creepier on a silent prop, and he would be the perfect choice. I'm kind of bummed they wasted it on an otherwise generic clown prop. I'll be honest, I was so focused on the terrible hair I didn't even notice the music. Definitely a weird choice. Give us what we want, the classic theme song. I also wish all props came with a no background music/sound effect option, just give us what the character is doing. Great points, as always!

@@ScareDad yeah. Definitely would be nice if they started integrating more of a “standby” mode… give us some form of lighting when it isn’t motion triggered, then have the motion trigger additional Lighting/movement/sound…. would be nice if they started including more spot lights/uplighting on props. (Sort of like how Lilly has a light in her staff that shines on her face) but it could be a constant light and then when prop is triggered it could do flicker/dimming/strobe/etc whatever effect fits the prop. Michael would look good with some sort of spotlight/strobe that triggers to give more of a jump scare.

I love the tech behind Nibbles and think he looks really good. I just wish the clown design wasn't quite as generic. But he is definitely one of the best props from Spirit this year. Hmm...something is off. Halloween Dan goes on vacation and then comes back liking clown props. Imposter! What have you done with the real Halloween Dan? I feel they definitely focused on the Carnival props as most of the other props seem like less thought was involved. Doesn't mean they are bad, just not so original or impressive. Spirit's pricing this year is better though, I feel like they are competing with Home Depot on that front. Looking forward to your upcoming video. Hope you had a great vacation!

Agreed! Love the Nibbles tech, I would prefer it be on a unique concept and not a standard clown. Corpse Bride animatronics look great, if I were to pick them up maybe just turn the volume down so they appear to just move and not talk, playing the theme song behind them to cover the servo sounds. The Ghost Face neck tilt makes him look like there is no neck, so it looks weird to me. Night Terror for the win!

I definitely think he has the best chance from this lineup of becoming a classic Spirit prop. Thanks for watching!

That's my issue with Spirit, the level of quality varies greatly. Sometimes they have some really cool stuff, but too often half their lineup is mediocre. I was happy to see them pushing some new tech with Nibbles, I just wish the rest of the prop wasn't such a generic concept. It's funny, because for a while you could order a bunch of these, but none of them felt like must buys so I was content to sit this one out. Appreciate you watching!

Originally this ending was supposed to be the intro, but due to the length and purposeful awkwardness of it, I thought maybe it would turn too many viewers away in the beginning. The original end scene would have been similar in feel, the two of them realizing how far away Halloween is and awkwardly attempting to start conversation again, this time about the weather. Hahahaha. I think Dan is waiting until the Home Depot Reaper comes out, and then his nefarious reaper reaping will begin. Our only hope is that some cool reapers come out in the UK this year to satiate his thirst.

Bummer that the Florida store didn't have more out yet. It's cool seeing Halloween stuff in stores (our Joanne's has some out now too) but I worry that by the beginning of August they will have moved on to Christmas and there won't be any Halloween stuff out around for October. They are both great props! Too bad about their awkward introduction, they could have been such great friends, lol.

Kind of feels like resin but their website says it is made of concrete. It's hollow but it definitely has some weight to it. Website says 83.8 pounds. Doesn't feel quite that heavy to me. It's a sturdy prop though. Thanks for watching!

It's crazy there are now 5 versions of Rattles out there. I love the face and pose of the At Home version. I think Tractor Supply has the At Home version but with black in the rib cage spaces, so that one is cool too (but a little more money.) Thanks for watching Chris!

Party City definitely brought their A game last year and instantly became a major player for Halloween. Unlike Home Depot and Lowes, Party City is moving into Spirit's area of jump scare props too. I am not liking the line-up as much this year (too many carnival/clown props so far), but there is still plenty more to be revealed. As always, thanks for watching!

I am sure we will see a ton of mods for him, and as long as you do a little at a time then it won't be too bad. I could easily see him being a $1,000 prop when all is said and done.
