      Thank you for watching! I am always searching for good tutorials myself so hopefully I can give back to the great haunt community. If this helps you make something cool post it on your channel. I'll gladly be the wind beneath your wings, lol. Thanks for the kind words and for leaving the comment too!

    This was such a great tutorial… not gonna lie.. most of this went over my head because as you know, I’m very untechnical. But this was super impressive and had such a cool final result. Can’t wait to see what else you can do with this tech. Great video bud 🎃💀👻

      Thanks! I didn't know any of this stuff a year ago either, and if I can learn it, you can too. As always, I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment!

    Congratulations on what appears to be your first viral video. Great job, keep at it and thank you for sharing your love of this hobby. It looks like I'm getting this early in the viral stream, so I wanted to make sure that I liked and commented so that it keeps getting pushed forward. I don't have the specific skeleton but I have another one and I have considered doing some animatronic work in the past, so this was a fun video to come across. I have a soft spot for people working out of their home making a video sharing something that they love to do just for the heck of it over the excessively polished professional content that gets pumped out by some channels, so thank you for being an absolutely delightful throwback to what the internet should really be all about.

      Thank you so much for the kind remarks. Learning this stuff is a passion of mine and as I learn, I might as well share. Plus my grandfather was a camera man for our local news station, so I guess making videos is in my blood. I figure the quality will improve over time and as long as I have fun with it, hopefully others will enjoy it too. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. Glad you enjoyed it!

      Thank you. I was so sad when I heard Steve Koci had passed away. He seemed like a great man and a wonderful teacher. I wish I could have met him in person. I still visit his Halstaff's Animatronic Workshop RUclips channel for inspiration. May he rest in piece and may his influence live on in haunts for years.

    Now I just gotta figure out how to give it a sassy AI personality

      Haha, agreed. All the best AI in media are a little bit cheeky. One of my personal favorites is Bender Bending Rodriguez. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!

      Easier done than said. There are so many chatbots now of varying degrees of quality that you can set up with specific personality types all you got to do is put that into a voice generator and voice to text detector and then wire it into the whole rest of the system. Usually people do this by connecting wirelessly to a cheap smartphone or tablet that can then tap into the internet or a local server running the AI, but I would actually look at something like Alexa or the Google interface as that has pretty darn good prompt detection and you could write apps for them that could then hook into the larger systems. The fun thing about these is it's multiple layers of AI each of which are relatively simple but come together for a complex whole.

      So this inspired my newest video, hooking the skeleton up to Chat GPT. I had planned to do it with THD 3000, but since you mentioned it I figured why not just use the skeleton. Thanks for the inspiration!

    How much for everything

    • @ScareDad
      @ScareDad  6 месяцев назад

      I put links for everything I used. The total cost depends on if you include buying the skeleton and if you purchase the RC Controller. If you just want to make the skeleton talk you could get away with not testing with the controller and just using the Receiver Recorder board. That said, if you plan to use their boards for any other projects or for adding more servos to the skeleton like I am planning, then I don't even count the controller in my cost because it will be used for many projects. For everything I used, including the RC Controller and Skeleton it came to $250.37. You can definitely cut down costs by buying just what you need. I tend to buy more in bulk because I know I will use it, but you don't need 10 PIR sensors if you are only doing this project. You could also buy cheaper servos. Hitec is a brand I trust, but you can buy much cheaper servos and they may work great. My guess is most animatronics we buy use the cheaper servos, so you could save big money there. So there are definitely a few ways you could bring the cost down quite a bit if you need to.
