Interesting idea. This would work for any commercially available talking prop that can accept audio for animation, like the old Boris talking skulls, or many Gemmy props. I'd bet there's a plug-in / extension for other browsers as well. Likely there are other ways to interface with ChatGPT that are more techy. Nonetheless, this is a good starting point.

This is certainly beginner-level, while I have basic tech knowledge, I am definitely not a programmer. Someone with real knowledge could take this to the next level. And you're right, you could apply this to many different talking props pretty easily. After a quick mod, I have it working with the THD 3000 prop from Home Depot. What I am looking for now is a way to filter the chat GPT voice to make it sound more like a gruff spooky character. Right now there are only three available voices through Chat GPT. I think the kids are going to love walking up to a skeleton and being able to have a conversation with it. If you find ways to improve it, please make a video and share it.
