    I've watched all your LPH50 and LPH80 uploads and the 50 seems much better value. I only have a 1hp 24L (90l/min) compressor, so that rules out most other guns. I primarliy want a mini gun to try spot repairs, but also to replace the very cheap LVLP gun I have to respray alloy wheels. Having watched your demonstrations I'm thinking an LPH-50 with a 1.0mm E2 should work for me. I could dial the fan down for spot repairs and widen it out a bit for wheels. I don't mind taking my time and waiting for the compressor to catch up if I have to. Ordered from Japan it's not much more than half the UK price of the LPH-80. Thank you!

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383 День назад

      Hi Mate, the LPH50 consumption is very low, quoted at 1.9 cfm, so I don't think you'll be waiting for your compressor. They are great little tools, I think people in the UK really don't like the idea of a side cup, normally having never tried it, it's actually really good to be able to move the cup around, cheers mate, good to hear you like the videos 👍

    Because of you Pete (and a few other YT channels) in late 2021 I’ve discovered and later on bought my Sagola 4600 Xtreme Trophy Truck Limited Edition (production 2022) and I really really love it! For others it could be one of the top 3 guns but for me, … because of the low cfm needed (9-10) and the low air volume consumption (only 280-290 l/min needed) plus the “metal-on-metal” construction without pricey gaskets like the Sata ones … because of the written above in my “Top 3 list” it goes straight to the top, straight to the 1st place! 🥇🏆 So, big thank you for your time and effort and God bless you mate! 🙏

    Pete, your vids are 🔥! Period! Q1: Is SAGOLA RC-1 (the bigger one of the two) uses real glass for the lens of the gauge? Q2: Regarding the RC-1, is it a real diaphragm regulator? And if not, is it the plastic lens solvent resistant? Q3: Could you please give us some links to the last two of the vid diaphragm regulators. (ie your favourite regulators)? Thank you in advance!

      Hi mate, the Sagola RC-1 uses glass, so it's resistant to thinners but not being dropped. Hi buddy, I think it will be emissions, I know certain States , California for example has very strict rules, I think the CC setup just wouldn't be approved by the EPA, it's the same reason why some Devilbiss cap's aren't available in the US. Sprayguns direct, as you probably know will ship to the US, people tell me you don't have to pay UK tax or US tax so quite a good deal, cheers mate 👍

    I hardly ever used a gauge for a loooong time, I just went by sound, feel, and what I saw also and I could always duplicate that “sweet spot”. A gauge does make it easier I suppose but I do still prefer it without especially on a clear gun simply because it just feels less “clunky”and more nimble. I definitely prefer the smaller gauges same as you if I need one. I am a sucker for digital guns and toys though! 😄 The Meiji are nice! Great content as usual, always really interesting 👍🏻

      Hi Mate, I went through a similar stage and didn't use a regulator, I would probably still be there now, I just went on what I was seeing. Then, starting this channel, I realised I couldn't give people any settings for air pressure as I didn't know 😅 Fast forward to today and I wouldn't be without one of these diaphragm regulators, they smooth out the delivery so nicely, it doesn't matter what your air supply is doing its just a constant supply of steady air.. I have a diaphragm regulator in the middle of the line, but one on the gun just makes it better , cheers buddy, appreciate it 👍

    Hi Pete, Porphis or Astro? I am doing a complete strip and paint job on a 68 Mustang and have a inexpensive primer gun but looking for something better for the base and clear. I have a large 80 gallon two-stage compressor so plenty of air. This will probably be a single use for the gun so don’t want to unnecessarily break the bank. Both brands seem to have positive opinions, which one better in this scenario? P.S. last time I painted a car was 1994, with a siphon gun.

      Hi Mate, of the two, the Porphis PRD625 is better, both in build and performance, but, performance wise, there is not lots in it. In all honesty, if I were buying one for a one-off project, I would go with the Astro Europro HE as it's good, and will do a good job, the Porphis is more as tool for plenty of use 👍

I like to keep my guns nice and clean, so I do this after every use of a 2k product or at the end of the day on base guns, but I'm swapping guns all the time so putting away a dirty gun for any length of time isn't a good idea as you will know. Hi Mate, the Porphis uses much, much, much more air than an LPH50, around 6 1/2 times as much, of course it covers ground faster so won't be used for so long. If you are mainly doing small parts, stick to the LPH80, this is available in 1.2 so will cover larger parts faster and only uses a little more are than the LPH50

    I was wondering when you were going to get to the Avalon. Again, I have to say that I really really like the Dram after spraying some parts. The atomization with MS clear and a touch of retarder (to deal with extreme heat) has been spot on with what I prefer. At 20 psi, it produces very tight orange peel fitting of most Japanese cars. I would imagine at 25 psi, it would give quite a flat finish, so that seems about right to shoot HS clear around 29 psi. The fan is very even and overspray, not bad at all compared to the FLG5 that I like for the same clear. Surprisingly, I favor the Dram more than the LPH400 because I can really get on with it and still produce a very nice finish without gobs of pressure

      Hi mate, it's grams, check the TDS for the clear coats you use or weigh out a sample, virtually all the ones I use are the same weigh for hardener and clear, so 100g clear to 50g hardener for 2 to 1
