So, no microwave needed, and no wait a day to take it outside 😂. Nice finish though, I've bought a Sagola in Spain too in the past. Always found it good. I haven't seen them for sale there recently (South of Spain), and only in the past in LeRoy Merlin, which didn't have a good range last time i looked. Any links to where you've seen them? I'm over there tomorrow evening 😂. That's again for your time, effort and knowledge
Hi Pete, you know I feel sorry for you having to go over to sunny (normally) Spain then having to slum it working outside to paint a tank I just don't know how you cope mate🤔🥵🤣 For what is a primer gun it laid the basecoat really nice with a nice looking smooth finish👌it's a pitty we didn't see the clear going on but it looks amazing mate and has made the colour pop in the sun, I do like that colour as well👏the Sagola Lux seems to be very good value for money as it's cheaper than the FLG5 plus it looks like it lays the basecoat down better🤔 Great video Pete so thanks as always for sharing🙏👍
Hi John, I am glad you appreciate the effort it takes to bring you these international videos 😂 As you probably noticed, I like trying what are predominantly primer guns for base and clear. Most do very well. They also often make a good all rounder, it's certainly as good as the FLG5 and cheaper in most nations, I think the FLG5 is a primer gun which is why it took them years to bring out a 1.3 tip for it, but maybe I'm wrong 😉 Cheers John ✌️
Today YT tomorrow the world, all you need to do is conquer Spain then you will be an international RUclipsr👏😎 The Lux does remind me of the FLG which as you said is predominantly a primer gun then they had a lightbulb moment and added the 1.3 tip for it which is probably why it's still a popular gun today, I would say that the Lux is a better made gun though🤔 Cheers mate🧐🤠👍
@JohnWD40TC02 Yeah, it is better made than the FLG5, very robust and a metal on metal sealing arrangement for the tip, not that it bothered me, most guns that I have with a sealing ring at the base of the tip, are absolutely fine, the exception, in the FLG5 which doesn't last particularly long, cheers John 👍
Hi Dean, Yeah, it's a good, well-made gun at that price and performs really well, it's air consumption is pretty low as well, which will appeal to many, cheers mate, hope alls well 👌
It would be nice to know if some of these low pressure air caps can run off a 5 stage turbine instead of a compressor. I’d imagine it could be done with the right configuration
Hi buddy, I know very little about these turbines, so I'm not sure what volume of air they use, I know some mobile guys use them, but not with conventional gun's
@ typically the most they can get is about 8psi and usually pressure drops down to about 6-7psi but has 60-100cfm seems to have significantly less overspray compared to pneumatic guns. I would assume in a pressure fed configuration there may be some degree of success atomizing material but that’s purely speculation. I see a lot of tradesmen using the Apollo turbine or the graco turbine units
@bingobunga8995 If the pressure reached is only around 8psi, that will explain the lack of overspray, the lowest any of the gravity sprayguns work at is 13 psi, that's the Iwata LPH50, then it's 14.5 psi for a couple of mini guns, then up, most are around 29 psi
@@peteshobbies5383 yes that’s what I thought. Usually I go off of what the air cap is rated for not so much inlet pressure with a turbine since they use a 3/4” ID hose and pressure loss is minimal compared to that o a 3/8”. I never run any of my compressor guns on recommended pressures I always am about 5-10psi less but that’s bc I use a pressure fed system and I reduce so I don’t need as much air and I try to minimize overspray. Gravity guns definitely need the extra psi.
Another like from me pete good video thanks for sharing that very well explained and putting the pressure settings on 😊 pete when are you going to do your top 10 spray guns 🔫 in your case top 100 💯 😀 ha ha
@peteshobbies5383 hi pete I have another question is the walcom 360 carbonio halo basecoat gun just as good as the iwata lph 400 with the orange cap for basecoat - thanks for your ans
@peteshobbies5383 hi pete I have the iwata LPH 400 orange cap for basecoat would the walcom carbonio 360 basecoat gun be equal or better thanks for any information
@refinishtechnology2529 Hi mate, they are quite different, to be fair, the Iwata is a low pressure gun , I would take it over the Walcom given the choice
@refinishtechnology2529 Hi mate, I just answered your question earlier, if you already have the Iwata I don't think you will gain anything with the Walcom

Very nice finish, pretty work Sir
Cheers Bryan ✌️
Thanks Pete that's got the retro look and performs well another one to your arsenal 😊😊😊

Hi Andy, Thanks mate, yes, I must get around to doing a top 10. Hopefully, it won't be too long. Cheers, mate 👌
