My friend had 3 12 Rockford fosgate those shit slap but eventually they all blew dembow abuses your subs 😂🤦🏾‍♂️ especially doble tono, but anyways he switched to 2 ddx 12 and omg that shit hits can feel it in your chest a lot harder, that’s what kinda sold me on skar. He’s running a 3k which is fine but they want more power🤷🏾‍♂️ so I think he’s going to switch to a 5k. He did have to end up getting another chuchero because the bass was overriding the vocals

I'm adding a clear lexan window 12x24 inches. Is it better to sandwich the lexan between the wood or just screw it in from the inside? I finally have some time to build my passive radiator enclosure. Trying to make it nice. Thank you

Still cool sub. I have the Sa 12 rev. 3 from around 2016 built numerous of boxes for it. Suspension is too tight you miss out on the dynamic hidden notes that you didn’t know were there. Love single sub setups

This amp is the same as the audiopipe 3000.1..Its 2 of these internally strapped into one case...the audiopipe 3000.1 is identical to the nemesis NA-6KM as well..I own and use the nemesis NA-6KM..I had to repair it and thats how i stumbled upon this..Crazy how so many amplifiers are identical with a differnt name on them..

Back when amps only needed 12volts because they were very well internally regulated...(anything over 13.5 volts would yield less power) vs modern amplifiers that give you what you feed it. Old school electrolytic caps get swallowed up my modern amplifiers. But with the old school amps... they did indeed stabilize that 12.5 to 13 volts.

Capacitors (as close to amps as possible) help the amps with very high frequency spikes in the music like cymbals, triangles, drums, etc... They block or protect the amps from very fast spikes from alternators, ignition sys, relays, etc... If you disconnect the cap while certain kinds of music is playing, some instruments completely disappear. If you are Not an Audiophile, you only care about bass and have a big battery bank, then caps are not needed. If you have 1000w or less and no extra batteries, a cap will protect the electronics in the car and help a little with the music. A capacitor should be typically two conductors, close to each other, usually with an insulator between the conductors so they can't touch and leads to connect it to something else. The better the conductors, the better the cap. Silver is the best conductor, but it costs too much. Aluminum is cheap, but it's not a good conductor. Older caps were made with higher quality materials and fewer parts. My first 1 farad cap from the early 90's could easily start my Toyota's 4cyl. Newer 20 or 50 farad caps will not! They have cheap conductor material and safety devices to prevent explosions! Caps exploding is no longer common! Instead of using very slow instruments like volt or amp meters to look for fast changes, use an oscilloscope! At bare minimum switch to AC on the volt meter! I've seen 30+ volt spikes from bad alternators!

As long as you have an upgraded electrical system you can really enjoy being a car audio enthusiast.

Back in the late 1990s dudes were putting concrete in the doors, bracing the windshield, and running enough electricity for a small house to hit 150+. Anybody saying they did it with a single fifteen isn't being honest. My friend had four Kicker XPL 15s in a wall that filled up the extended cab portion of his S-10. Each one had a Sound Stream refrence series amp. He was still low to mid 140s burping it.(Depending on meter and placement.)

Where did you order the new xfl? On the American bass website it shows the new surround on the photo but after you click on it and look at other photos it swaps to old version with direct leads.

Is it really a 49 hz FS though? That’s really high don’t you think. Not saying they won’t sound well or get low because the box will help that and I’m sure the sub will play low 30’s pretty well.

i like you videos. i just dumped my sa v2 12 yesterday for 150 on facebook market hardly used. my old rockford HX2 12 kicked it's but in SQ so did my soundstream t4 tarantula. i have tried several sets of sundowns they are just ok IMO. i ended up getting some rf p3's much better....
