Similar but there is a difference in sound these hit actually louder on the meter a little and these are a little more musically accurate than the brw. But the brw are very good brw move a little more air.
I like the graphics on ur video and the dats showing tsp are sweet addition i dont remember seeing that before on ur channel i see allot of video upgrades thats awesome!
I’m getting 148.1db @ 38hz on (1) Kicker Solo X 12 in the box parameters Kicker recommends. It is firing towards the back of the car in my trunk (Civic 4dr Sedan Sport)

Nice that you are showing ts parameters and meter scores. Just wish you showed ts parameters after playing as well. Maybe next time. Thanks for all the great info you give us in each video. Much appreciated. 😎👍👍
Hey Vector, please do a dyno test for us in Africa on the latest Pioneer 1200w Rms Gm- Dc971 champion series mono amp, it's the most available one over here.
Is Hifonics smoking crack on the prices? Who’s gonna buy this over a JP amp or Taramps or even amps like Slapz 5k (for $269 for a true 5k). They are nuts.
I hear ya but people also still pay insane prices for JL, Hertz, fosgate etc… so really just depends on the type of consumer some guys don’t mind dropping $1000 on a 400 Watt “ name brand” amp or $1200 on a sub so it just depends I guess on an individuals outlook as far as pricing goes. In audio home and car some people don’t care about the price and some do. Thanks man it’s always fun trying new things and seeing how they perform.
I don’t know the actual weight of the motor alone because they don’t give those specs but I do know the BRW weighed about 2 pounds more than the HEW 15. The BL I pulled from the brw 15 was 32.79 and the hew 15 was 25.35 so brw had more motor force but….. the cone mass is lighter on the hew so maybe that’s why they didn’t need as much motor force?… the mms on the brw15 is 426.1 and the hew is 333.1. I think the lighter moving mass on this hew is contributing to its slightly better musical accuracy over the brw. But both sound amazing.
A lot of companies use this basket type ,stereo integrity did on there sql subs, savard on the HiQ, there are many more examples but this sub sounds nothing like a k9. The basket is just holding the components but it’s all the other parts that affect the characteristics of a sub.
@@benjamincollins6553 I think the problem is you’re not really aware of what’s out there. There is 7000 RMS W speakers. I was in Car Audio my whole life, but I am 60 now I know things seen things and did things phonics was never something I used. It was low end
Awesome but... The price is so far off from what they are selling. A good Taramps smart 5k and Resilient Aounds gold or platinum close to the same price these clowns are selling their equipment for
Great video as always, thank you. So are these HEW series better or similar to the BRW series subs they make?

Good question and answer. I was curious too. But for the price the BRW’s were before selling out I think it was an awesome deal
would you compare this with skar vxf 15???????????
You ever dyno the amp

Looks like its using the same baskets as the old SI SQL subs

Is there a part number that they use for the US version because I cannot find here in the US that same exact model number that you provided?
@HiFiVector i think it's equivalent in the US is the GM-DX971
I will keep that in mind for a future video for sure.
If those amps are like the US version they do rated plus for power output. Check on RUclips, they been tested.

There are a lot but resilient sounds gold or platinum v2, sundown x or z, skar zvx there are a couple examples.

What are the magnet weights obviously I didn't wait until the end of the video to ask but what are the different in ounces between the two
Are you meaning compared the the Hifonics brw 15?
@@HiFiVector I guess it should have been more specific is there a difference between the V1 and the V2 motors I think the v1l was 180 oz

So that colossus is not a full its half bridge haven’t seen many full bridge amps that can be strapped
No it is a fullbridge and it is not strapable.
Looks like a Rockville K9 basket
Nice 15

Am i the only one that sees a w15k9 rockville sub with a smaller motor?🤔

As usual with this company, they never really made anything serious for SPL and there’s so much better made stuff for SQ not for me
Ya the make some big asxxx sub's carbon cones think there 3k for the 10s and 12s seen them last year I don't think they sale them here in the us
